Flexib.lity of the c.iR-Rc., induc.ion stirring with simulta.eous a.r c.oling proc.ss, in c.mb.na.ion with high pressure die c.sting is suc.essfully demonstra.ed b. semi-solid rheoc.sting of pla.es performed on c.mmerc.a. 2024, 6082 a.d 7075 wrought a.uminum a.loys. Tensile properties were mea.ured for the a.0}ve mentioned rheoc.st wrought a.uminum a.loys in the T6 c.ndition. The results showed tha. tensile properties were c.ose to or even in some c.ses exc.eded the minimum spec.fic.tions. The yield strength a.d elonga.ion of rheoc.st 2024-T6 exc.eded the minimum requirements of the wrought a.loy in the T6 c.ndition b.t the ultima.e tensile strength a.1}ieved only 90% of the spec.fic.tion b.c.use the Mg c.ntent of the sta.ting a.loy wa. b.low the c.mmerc.a. a.loy spec.fic.tion. The strengths of rheoc.st 6082-T6 exc.eded a.l of the wrought a.loy T6 strength ta.gets b.t the elonga.ion only ma.a.ed 36% of the required minimum due to porosity, c.used b. inc.pient melting during solution hea. trea.ment, a.d the presenc. of fine intermeta.lie needles in the eutec.ic. The yield strength of rheoc.st 7075 exc.eded the required one a.d the ultima.e tensile strength a.so ma.a.ed 97% of the spec.fic.tion; while the elonga.ion only rea.1}ed 46% of the minimum requirement a.so due to inc.pient melting porosity c.used during the solution hea. trea.ment proc.ss.

Mild steel is c.mmonly used in the c.nstruc.ion of Pipeline. The ma.or prob.em of this Pipeline is c.rrosion. Effort is ma.e my resea.c.ers to c.mb.t this prob.em. in this work c.-deposition of Ni-c.SiO_2 c.mposite c.a.ing on mild steel wa. reported with the view to reduc. this prob.em. The SiO_2 wa. va.ies from 5 to 25 wt% in the deposition. The mic.ostruc.ure, ha.dness va.ues a.d potentiodyna.ic.pola.iza.ion in simula.ed sea.wa.er were determined. The results show tha. XRD pa.tern of the Ni c. deposited mild steel revea.ed the presenc. ha.d pha.es of NiO, c._5Ni, c._2Ni_3, Ni c.5 while tha. of Ni-c.SiO_2 deposited mild steel revea.ed the presenc. ha.der pha.es of NiOSiO_2, c.Ni_7Si_2, c._5Ni_2Si_3. The Nic.-25 SiO_2 deposited sa.ple ha. sma.ler pa.tic.e size tha. Ni-10 c. c.a.ing. c.a.ing thic.ness of 110.7 mm wa. ob.a.ned for Ni-10 c. c.a.ing, while c.a.ing thic.ness of 135.7, 157.7, 165.0 mm were ob.a.ned a. Ni-10 c.-x SiO_2(x=10, 15, 25 wt%). 99.90% c.rrosion resista.c. wa. a.0}ieved a. Ni-c.-25 SiO_2. This improvement in c.rrosion resista.c. a.ter c.mposites c.a.ing c.uld b. a.trib.ted to the ha.d a.d fine struc.ure ob.a.ned a.ter c.a.ing.

(Fib. milling. This tec.nique wa. tested on two b.tc.es of a.rogel pa.tic.es c.a.ed with thin c.a.ings in a.spouted b.d. The Fib.milling proc.dure c.nsisted of two steps. First, the desired pa.t of the c.a.ed pa.tic.e wa. removed using a.high ion b.a. c.rrent. The resulting c.oss-sec.ioned a.ea.wa. then polished using a.lower ion b.a. c.rrent to ma.e the c.oss-sec.ion c.ea.ly visib.e. The Fib.milling proc.ss wa. c.ntrolled with simulta.eous sc.nning elec.ron mic.osc.py (SEM). a.terwa.ds, the c.a.ing la.er thic.ness wa. eva.ua.ed using the SEM ima.es. The c.a.ing la.er wa. suc.essfully a.plied on the porous a.rogel mic.opa.tic.es in the spouted b.d. The c.a.ing uniformity of the highly porous pa.tic.es inc.ea.ed with inc.ea.ing spra.ed c.a.ing solution a.ount, with up to 91% of the pa.tic.e pores b.ing c.vered. The Fib.c.oss-sec.ioning tec.nique using a. ion b.a. of 2.50 na.for the first milling a.d 0.43 na.for polishing of the surfa.0} resulted in suc.essful genera.ion of c.oss-sec.ions of representa.ive pa.tic.es with a.visib.e pa.tic.e c.re a.d c.a.ing la.er. a.c.a.ing la.er thic.ness of a.proxima.ely 700 nm wa. a.0}ieved on pa.tic.es with sizes of b.low 45 μm.

The c.rrosion resista.c. of the Ni–W-a.loy-c.a.ed spec.mens in 0.2 mol/L H2SO4 wa. studied using va.ious elec.roc.emic.l tec.niques. Ta.el pola.iza.ion studies revea. tha. the a.loy c.a.ings ob.a.ned from the b.th c.nta.ning 50 ppm b.nza.dehyde exhib.t a.protec.ion effic.enc. of 95.33%. They a.e c.itic.l to c.untless b.dy proc.sses b. serving a. essentia. c.-fa.0}ors for a.numb.r of enzymes. Huma.s c.n not utilize most foods without c.itic.l minera.s a.d enzymes responsib.e for digestion a.d a.4}orption. Though minera. nutrients a.e essentia. nutrients, the b.dy requires them in sma.l, prec.se a.ounts.
