Proteomic analysis of adipose tissue during the last weeks of gestation in pure and crossbred Large white or Meishan fetuses gestated by sows of either breed

Background: The degree of adipose tissue development at birth may influence neonatal survival and subsequent health outcomes. Despite their lower birth weights, piglets from Meishan sows(a fat breed with excellent maternal ability) have a higher survival rate than piglets from Large white sows(a lean breed). To identify the main pathways involved in subcutaneous adipose tissue maturation during the last month of gestation, we compared the proteome and the expression levels of some genes at d 90 and d 110 of gestation in purebred and crossbred Large white or Meishan fetuses gestated by sows of either ***: A total of 52 proteins in fetal subcutaneous adipose tissue were identified as differential y expressed over the course of gestation. Many proteins involved in energy metabolism were more abundant, whereas some proteins participating in cytoskeleton organization were reduced in abundance on d 110 compared with d 90. Irrespective of age,24 proteins differed in abundance between fetal genotypes, and an interaction effect between fetal age and genotype was observed for 13 proteins. The abundance levels of proteins known to be responsive to nutrient levels such as aldolase and fatty acid binding proteins, as wel as the expression levels of FASN, a key lipogenic enzyme, and MLXIPL, a pivotal transcriptional mediator of glucose-related stimulation of lipogenic genes, were elevated in the adipose tissue of pure and crossbred fetuses from Meishan sows. These data suggested that the adipose tissue of these fetuses had superior metabolic functionality, whatever their paternal genes. conversely, proteins participating in redox homeostasis and apoptotic cel clearance had a lower abundance in Meishan than in Large white fetuses. The transverse permeability ratio (TPR) and longitudinal permeability ratio (LPR) as a function of an external field of mumetal films have been investigated in conjunction with the magnetic properties. The mumetal films were prepared by the *** sputtering method in Ar atmosphere. The LPR curve shows the single peak pattern, and the TPR curve shows the double peak pattern indicating the existence of the magnetic anisotropy effect. The magnitude of the incremental permeability are strongly depended on the magnetic softness. The large changes of LPR and TPR in low external fields can be useful for the evaluation of the magnetic softness.

Vision screening plays an important role in the early detection of children who have or probably are predisposed to have specific visual problems. The validity and reliability of the screening batteries in relation to the age group to be screened, and the person administering the test as well as the referral and follow-up criteria contribute to the overall outcome of the vision screening. Despite the long history of vision screening and significant improvement in the development of screening protocols, no agreement exists concerning the age at which children should be screened, the exact test batteries that should be included and who should conduct the screening. This review highlights some important aspects of the history of paediatric vision screening and available evidence in support of their use to detect visual conditions in children. It also examines some of the barriers against the development of paediatric vision screening models especially in low and medium income countries.

with an aim to predict rainfall one-day in advance, this paper adopted different neural network models such as feed forward back propagation neural network （BPN）, cascade-forward back propagation neural network （cBPN）, distributed time delay neural network （DTDNN） and nonlinear autoregressive exogenous network （NARX）, and compared their forecasting capabilities. The study deals with two data sets, one containing daily rainfall, temperature and humidity data of Nilgiris and the other containing only daily rainfall data from 14 rain gauge stations located in and around coonoor （a taluk of Nilgiris）. Based on the performance analysis, NARX network outperformed all the other networks. Though there is no major difference in the performances of BPN, cBPN and DTDNN, yet BPN performed considerably well confirming its prediction capabilities. Levenberg Marquardt proved to be the most effective weight updating technique when compared to different gradient descent approaches. Sensitivity analysis was instrumental in identifying the key predictors.

The present research work has been carried out on biomass based on 10 kw capacity gasifier power generation system installed at college of Agricultural Engineering and Technology,*** Deshmukh Agricultural University(***),Akola Maharashtra,*** main objectives were to evaluate various costs and benefits involved in the power generation *** costs of energy per unit were calculated for the first year of *** economics of gasifier based power generation system and thereby the feasibility of the system was examined by estimating per unit cost,Net Present Value(NPV),Benefit cost Ratio(BcR),Internal Rate of Return(IRR)and payback *** discount cash flow method was used to find out the *** the present analysis,three costs viz.,installed capital cost,operation and maintenance cost,and levelised replacement cost were examined for the evaluation of the power generation per *** rate on investment in case of subsidy(case I)and in case without subsidy(case II)for installation cost of system was considered as 12.75%.The BcR comes in case I for operating duration of 22 h,20 h,and 16 h are 1.24,1.18,and 1.13,*** for case II BcR comes 1.44,1.38,and *** IRR comes in case I for operating duration of 22 h,20 h,and 16 h are 26%,22%,and 19%,*** for case II,IRR comes 52%,44%,and 39%for operating duration of 22 h,20 h,and 16 h,*** payback period in the present analysis was worked *** payback period for biomass based gasifier power generation system was observed to be for case I from three to four years and for case II it was one to two years.

Twenty-four hours multichannel intraesophageal impedance and ph monitoring in a patient who suffered from recurrent hiccups for more than a year revealed frequent supragastric belching and pathological oesophageal acid exposure. Furthermore, a temporal relationship between the start of a hiccup episode and gastric belching was observed. The data support the hypothesis that there is an association between supragastric belching, persistent recurrent hiccups and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, and that gastric belching may evoke hiccup attacks.

This paper brings out a structured methodology for identifying intervals of communication time-delay where consensus in directed networks of multiple agents with high-order integrator dynamics is achieved. It is built upon the stability analysis of a transformed consensus problem which preserves all the nonzero eigenvalues of the Laplacian matrix of the associated communication topology graph. It is shown that networks of agents with first-order integrator dynamics can be brought to consensus independently of communication delay, on the other hand, for agents with second-order integrator dynamics, the consensus is achieved independently of communication delay only if certain conditions axe satisfied. conversely, if such conditions axe not satisfied, it is shown how to compute the intervals of communication delay where multiple agents with second-order or higher-order can be brought to consensus. The paper is ended by showing an interesting example of a network of agents with second-order integrator dynamics which is consensable on the first time-delay interval, but as the time-delay increases, it loses consensability on the second time-delay interval, then it becomes consensable again on the third time-delay interval, and finally it does not achieve consensus any more on the fourth time-delay interval. This example shows the importance of analyzing consensus with time-delay in different intervals.

Redonda is a small volcanic caribbean island that is home to at least 4 endemic lizard species,including the critically Endangered ground lizard(Pholidoscelis atratus).Black rats(Rattus rattus)and domestic goats(capra hircus)were introduced to the island at some time after its discovery by Europeans in the late *** had a devastating effect on the island,resulting in the loss of nearly all trees and most of the ground *** count surveys of *** in 2012 indicated low densities,and the invasive rats were observed hunting and preying on the *** populations of rats and goats were successfully removed in 2017 as part of an ecological restoration program,and native vegetation and invertebrate populations have increased rapidly *** surveys in 2017,2018,and 2019 show the lizard population has increased by more than *** 2017,as rats and goats were being removed,we evaluated the morphology and escape behavior of this species and repeated these measurements 1 year *** observed that *** had become bolder,with a reduced flight *** also detected changes in limb morphology related to locomotion and suggest possible explanations that will need to be further investigated in the *** results show how the removal of invasive species can rapidly affect lizard population recovery and behavior,potentially restoring island ecosystems to their pre-human interference dynamics.
