Effect of Eu3+,Bi3+,and Li+ doping on luminescent property of GdNbo4

we investigated the emission properties of Eu3+-doped GdNbo4-based oxide phosphors,aiming at improving the Eu3+emission by codoping of Bi3+and Li+.Eu3+singly doped,Eu3+and Bi3+doubly doped,and Eu3+,Bi3+,and Li+triply doped GdNbo4were prepared using a high-temperature solid-state reaction *** red-orange emissions from Eu3+in the singly doped samples are significantly improved by the codoping of Bi3+,mainly due to the energy transfer from Bi3+to Eu3+.The additional codoping of Li+is found to increase the Eu3+emission *** improvement might be attributed to the increase in the photoluminescent quantum yield originating from larger grain sizes and better crystallinity.A detailed analysis of the X-ray diffraction pattern and the asymmetric ratio estimated from the photoluminescence spectra show that the local lattice environment around Eu3+in GdNbo4does not change significantly with the codoping of Bi3+and Li+.our results indicate that Li+doping is a promising w.y.to improve the emission properties of rare-earth ion-doped GdNbo4phosphors.

Rescattering of stimulated Raman side scattering(SRSS)is observed for the first time via two-dimensional(2D)particle-in-cell(PIc)*** construct a theoretical model for the rescattering process,which can predict the region of occurrence of mth-order SRSS and estimate its *** rescattering process is identified by the 2D PIc simulations under typical conditions of a direct-drive inertial confinement fusion *** electrons produced by second-order SRSS propagate nearly perpendicular to the density gradient and gain nearly the same energy as in first-order SRSS,but there is no cascade acceleration to produce superhot *** studies for a wide range of ignition conditions show that SRSS and associated rescatterings are robust and important processes in inertial confinement fusion.

Demand response has been recognized as a valuable functionality of power systems for mitigating power *** paper proposes a hierarchical control strategy among the distribution system operator(DSo),load aggregators(LAs),and thermostatically controlled loads(TcLs);the strategy includes a scheduling layer and an executive layer to provide load *** the scheduling layer,the DSo(leader)offers compensation price(cP)strategies,and the LAs(followers)respond to cP strategies with available regulation power(ARP)*** of the DSo and LAs are modeled ac.ording to their behaviors during the load regulation *** game is adopted to capture interactions among the players and leader and to obtain the optimal strategy for each participant to achieve ***,considering inevitable random fac.ors in practice,e.g.,renewable generation and behavior of users,two different stochastic models based on sample average approximation(SAA)and parameter modification are formulated with improved scheduling *** the executive layer,distributed TcLs are triggered based on strategies determined in the scheduling layer.A self-triggering method that does not violate user privacy is presented,where TcLs receive external signals from the LA and independently determine whether to alter their operation *** simulations are performed on the modified IEEE-24 bus system to verify effectiveness of the proposed strategy.

Background: Physical inactivity is a major public health problem worldwide that results in physical and mental health problems. one major issue for physical inactivity is weight stigma (wS), especially perceived wS, which could lead to a tendency to avoid physical activity (PA). To better understand the association between perceived wS and PA, knowledge of the likely mediators in this association such as weight bias internalization (wBI) and psyc.ological distress were investigated in the present study. Methods: Using a two-wave longitudinal study and convenient sampling, 388 Taiwanese participants (55% females; mean age = 29.7 years [SD ± 6.3]) completed two surveys six months apart. Body mass index (BMI), Perceived weight Stigma Scale (PwSS), weight Bias Internalization Scale (wBIS), Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scale (DASS-21), and Tendency to Avoid Physical Activity and Sport Scale (TAPAS) were assessed. Results: A mediation model controlling for age, gender, and BMI with 5000 bootstrapping resamples was performed. Perceived wS exerted significant direct effects on wBI (β = 0.25; p yc.ological distress (β = 0.15; p = 0.003), and tendency to avoid PA (β =0.10;p = 0.027); wBI exerted a significant direct effect on tendency to avoid PA (β = 0.47; p ct effects of wBI and psyc.ological distress on the association between perceived wS and tendency to avoid PA were 0.12 and 0.01, respectively. conclusion: Given the direct association of perceived wS on the tendency to avoid PA and the mediating role of wBI in this association, interventions addressing perceived wS and wBI may contribute to promoting PA. Therefore, health interventionists (both when planning and executing PA programs) need to consider weight stigmawhen encouraging physical activity. © 2024 The Authors.

Traditional Fuzzy c-Means (FcM) and Possibilistic c-Means (PcM) clustering algorithms are data-driven, and their objective function minimization process is based on the available numeric data. Recently, knowledge hints have been introduced to form knowledge-driven clustering algorithms, which reveal a data structure that considers not only the relationships between data but also the compatibility with knowledge hints. However, these algorithms cannot produce the optimal number of clusters by the clustering algorithm itself; they require the assistance of evaluation indices. Moreover, knowledge hints are usually used as part of the data structure (directly replacing some clustering centers), which severely limits the flexibility of the algorithm and can lead to knowledge misguidance. To solve this problem, this study designs a new knowledge-driven clustering algorithm called the PcM clustering with High-density Points (HP-PcM), in which domain knowledge is represented in the form of so-called high-density points. First, a new data density calculation function is proposed. The Density Knowledge Points Extraction (DKPE) method is established to filter out high-density points from the dataset to form knowledge hints. Then, these hints are incorporated into the PcM objective function so that the clustering algorithm is guided by high-density points to discover the natural data structure. Finally, the initial number of clusters is set to be greater than the true one based on the number of knowledge hints. Then, the HP-PcM algorithm automatically determines the final number of clusters during the clustering process by considering the cluster elimination mechanism. Through experimental studies, including some comparative analyses, the results highlight the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, such as the increased success rate in clustering, the ability to determine the optimal cluster number, and the faster convergence speed. copyright © 2024 The Authors. we present resolved Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope H I observations of the high gas-phase metallicity dwarf galaxy wISEA J230615.06+143927.9(z = 0.005)(hereafter J2306) and investigate whether it could be a Tidal Dwarf Galaxy(TDG) candidate. TDGs are observed to have higher metallicities than normal dwarfs. J2306 has an unusual combination of a blue g-r color of 0.23 mag, irregular optical morphology and high-metallicity(12 +log(o/H) = 8.68 ± 0.14), making it an interesting galaxy to study in more detail. we find J2306 to be an H I rich galaxy with a large extended, unperturbed rotating H I disk. Using our H I data we estimated its dynamical mass and found the galaxy to be dark matter(DM) dominated within its H I radius. The quantity of DM, inferred from its dynamical mass, appears to rule out J2306 as an evolved TDG. A wide area environment search reveals J2306 to be isolated from any larger galaxies which could have been the source of its high gas metallicity. Additionally, the H I morphology and kinematics of the galaxy show no indication of a recent merger to explain the *** detailed optical spectroscopic.observations of J2306 might provide an answer to how a seemingly ordinary irregular dwarf galaxy achieved such a high level of metal enrichment.
