Lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide blended in polyurethane acrylate photocurable solid polymer electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries

The increased demand of electronic devices promotes the development of advanced and more efficient energy storage devices, such as batteries. Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) are the most studied battery systems due to their high performance. Among the different battery components, the separator allows the control of lithium ion diffusion between the electrodes. To overcome some drawbacks of liquid electrolytes, including safety and environmental issues, solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs) are being developed. In this work, a UV photocurable polyurethane acrylate (PUA) resin has been blended with lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl) imide (LiTFSI) up to 30 wt% LiTFSI content to reach a maximum ionic conductivity of 0.0032 mS/cm at room temperature and 0.09 mS/cm at 100 ℃. Those values allowed applying the developed materials as photocurable SPE in Swagelok type Li/c-LiFePO_(4) half-cells, reaching a battery discharge capacity value of 139 mAh.g^(−1) at c/30 rate. Those results, together with the theoretical studies of the discharge capacity at different c-rates and temperatures for batteries with LiTFSI/PUA SPE demonstrate the suitability of the developed photocurable SPE for LIB applications.

complexed amino acid minerals vs. bis-glycinate chelated minerals:Impact on the performance of old laying hens

The present study was to evaluate the effect of trace minerals(Zn, mn, and cu) from complexed amino acid minerals(ZmcAA) and bis-glycinate chelated minerals(ZmcGly) in laying hen diets on performance,internal and external egg quality, yolk mineral deposition, intestinal morphometry, and bone characteristics. From 78 to 98 weeks of age, 400 White LSL-Lite strain laying hens were distributed in a randomized design with 4 treatments with 10 replicates per treatment. Treatments were distributed in a 2 ×2 factorial arrangement using either Zn, mn, and cu of ZmcAA or ZmcGly source at 2 levels: low(20, 20,and 3.5 mg/kg of Zn, mn, and cu, respectively) or high(40, 40, and 7 mg/kg of Zn, mn, and cu,respectively). The analysis of variance was performed, and in cases where differences were observed, the means were compared using Tukey?s test(P ce and level of trace mineral supplementation had a significant impact on the performance of laying hens. Hens fed ZmcAA had higher egg production(P = 0.01), egg weight(P = 0.02), egg mass(P = 0.01), and lower feed conversion ratio(P =0.05) compared to those fed ZmcGly. The ZmcAA supplementation showed higher albumen height(P =0.01), albumen weight(P = 0.01), and eggshell thickness(P mn(Pcu(P ceived ZmcAA. Tibia weight(P = 0.04)and bone densitometry(P mcAA supplementation. In the small intestine, ZmcAA resulted in longer villi(P = 0.02) and shorter crypt depth(P = 0.01) in the duodenum.Jejunum and ileum measurements were influenced by the level and source of trace minerals(P mcAA exhibited superior performance, egg quality, deposition of trace minerals in the egg yolk, and bone density compared to hens fed ZmcGly. In this study, older laying hens supplemented with ZmcAA at lower levels demonstrated adequate levels of supplementation.

Arroyo Verde epithermal deposit,in the North Patagonia region of Argentina,is located within the Lower chon Aike volcanism and is developed between 192.6±2.5 ma(mineralization host rock)and 189.5±2.6 ma(overlying lava).marifil volcanic complex is the host rock for these veins,veinlets and breccias.This particular small deposit has developed low to intermediate sulphidation characteristics,with gangue mineral textures associated with several ore minerals.Electron probe microanalysis determines electrum,silver minerals such as acanthite,and tetrahedrite,related Ag-cu minerals like jalpaite,mckinstryite,stromeyerite,and base metals like chalcopyrite,sphalerite,galena and pyrite.Fluid inclusions in quartz of two out of five events indicate that these Low Jurassic veins were formed due to subtle boiling and dilution mechanisms and by low-salinity(3.4 wt.%to 6.7 wt.%Nacl Eq)magmatic-hydrothermal fluid at 225 to 310℃.The fluid inclusion measurements that indicate boiling(Event 3)were plotted,and based on this data,we interpret that the Arroyo Verde deposit has been eroded between 550 and 700 m.This particular character has not been previously recorded for other sectors of the eastern north Patagonian region.

We propose and experimentally realize a class of quasi-one-dimensional topological lattices whose unit cells are constructed by coupled multiple identical resonators,with uniform hopping and inversion symmetry.In the presence of coupling-path-induced effective zero hopping within the unit cells,the systems are characterized by complete multimerization with degenerate-1 energy edge states for open boundary condition.

Piráis a reading comprehension dataset focused on the ocean,the Brazilian coast,and climate change,built from a collection of scientific abstracts and reports on these topics.This dataset represents a versatile language resource,particularly useful for testing the ability of current machine learning models to acquire expert scientific knowledge.Despite its potential,a detailed set of baselines has not yet been developed for Pirá.By creating these baselines,researchers can more easily utilize Piráas a resource for testing machine learning models across a wide range of question answering tasks.In this paper,we define six benchmarks over the Pirádataset,covering closed generative question answering,machine reading comprehension,information retrieval,open question answering,answer triggering,and multiple choice question answering.As part of this effort,we have also produced a curated version of the original dataset,where we fixed a number of grammar issues,repetitions,and other shortcomings.Furthermore,the dataset has been extended in several new directions,so as to face the aforementioned benchmarks:translation of supporting texts from English into Portuguese,classification labels for answerability,automatic paraphrases of questions and answers,and multiple choice candidates.The results described in this paper provide several points of reference for researchers interested in exploring the challenges provided by the Pirádataset.

Different no-till grain production systems with Urochloa spp.affect soil microbial community structure,biomass and activity in a tropical Ultisol

Integrated grain cropping systems promote soil health(SH)and sustainability.microbial biomass and activity(mBA)and community structure(mcS)are key to SH.Integration of maize with Urochloa pastures strongly impacts mBA and mcS.mBA is more sensitive than mcS to shifts in grain cropping systems.Systems under continuous Urochloa increased microbial activity and AmF abundance.Tropical soils are prone to degradation.Adoption of conservation agricultural practices is essential to improve soil health,which is influenced by soil microbes.In this study we analyzed shifts in microbial biomass and activity(mBA)and microbial community structure(mcS)based on fatty acid methyl esthers(FAmEs)between five no-till agricultural practices:maize monoculture(mm);maize annualy intercropped with Urochloa decumbens(m/Ud);m/Ud with soybean rotation every other year(m/Ud-S);m/Ud keeping the pasture for the next two years(m/Ud-Ud-Ud);and maize intercropped with U.ruziziensis keeping the pasture for the next two years(m/Ur-Ur-Ur).Results indicated that mBA was affected by the inclusion of Urochloa intercropping and by rotation with soybean.Systems under a longer residence time with Urochloa in the field had higherβ-glucosidase activity and soil basal respiration,indicating a greater microbial activity.mcS was less affected than mBA by the investigated cropping systems.mcS changed only in the continuous pasture systems,which were enriched in arbuscular mycorrhyzal fungi(AmF).Additionally,the continuous pasture systems had lower microbial stress ratios than the other agricultural practices.In sum,our study showed that utilization of Urochloa spp.under longer periods in no-till agricultural practices contributes to increase microbial activity,AmF abundance and decrease microbial stress ratio.These changes are primarily beneficial for soil health.

The effect of abiotic stresses on plant c:N:P homeostasis and their mitigation by silicon

In crop plants, various environmental stresses affect the balance of carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus(c:N:P), leading to biochemical and physiological alterations and reductions in yield. Silicon(Si) is a beneficial element that alleviates plant stress. most studies involving silicon have focused on physiological responses, such as improvements in photosynthetic processes, water use efficiency, and antioxidant defense systems. But recent research suggests that stressed plants facing either limited or excessive resources(water, light, nutrients, and toxic elements), strategically employ Si to maintain c:N:P homeostasis, thereby minimizing biomass losses. Understanding the role of Si in mitigating the impact of abiotic stresses on plants by regulating c:N:P homeostasis holds great potential for advancing sustainable agricultural practices in crop production. This review presents recent advances in characterizing the influence of environmental stresses on c:N:P homeostasis, as well as the role of Si in preserving c:N:P equilibrium and attenuating biological damage associated with abiotic stress. It underscores the beneficial effects of Si in sustaining c:N:P homeostasis and increasing yield via improved nutritional efficiency and stress mitigation.

The influence of resistance exercise training prescription variables on skeletal muscle mass,strength,and physical function in healthy adults:An umbrella review

Purpose:The aim of this umbrella review was to determine the impact of resistance training(RT)and individual RT prescription variables on muscle mass,strength,and physical function in healthy adults.methods:Following Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and meta-Analyses(PRISmA)guidelines,we systematically searched and screened eligible systematic reviews reporting the effects of differing RT prescription variables on muscle mass(or its proxies),strength,and/or physical function in healthy adults aged>18 years.Results:We identified 44 systematic reviews that met our inclusion criteria.The methodological quality of these reviews was assessed using A measurement Tool to Assess Systematic Reviews;standardized effectiveness statements were generated.We found that RT was consistently a potent stimulus for increasing skeletal muscle mass(4/4 reviews provide some or sufficient evidence),strength(4/6 reviews provided some or sufficient evidence),and physical function(1/1 review provided some evidence).RT load(6/8 reviews provided some or sufficient evidence),weekly frequency(2/4 reviews provided some or sufficient evidence),volume(3/7 reviews provided some or sufficient evidence),and exercise order(1/1 review provided some evidence)impacted RT-induced increases in muscular strength.We discovered that 2/3 reviews provided some or sufficient evidence that RT volume and contraction velocity influenced skeletal muscle mass,while 4/7 reviews provided insufficient evidence in favor of RT load impacting skeletal muscle mass.There was insufficient evidence to conclude that time of day,periodization,inter-set rest,set configuration,set end point,contraction velocity/time under tension,or exercise order(only pertaining to hypertrophy)influenced skeletal muscle adaptations.A paucity of data limited insights into the impact of RT prescription variables on physical function.conclusion:Overall,RT increased muscle mass,strength,and physical function compared to no exercise.RT intensity(load)and weekly frequency impacted RT-

Semi-analytical investigation of heat transfer in a porous convective radiative moving longitudinal fin exposed to magnetic field in the presence of a shape-dependent trihybrid nanofluid

The thermal examination of a non-integer-ordered mobile fin with a magnetism in the presence of a trihybrid nanofluid(Fe_3O_4-Au-Zn-blood) is carried out. Three types of nanoparticles, each having a different shape, are considered. These shapes include spherical(Fe_3O_4), cylindrical(Au), and platelet(Zn) configurations. The combination approach is utilized to evaluate the physical and thermal characteristics of the trihybrid and hybrid nanofluids, excluding the thermal conductivity and dynamic viscosity. These two properties are inferred by means of the interpolation method based on the volume fraction of nanoparticles. The governing equation is transformed into a dimensionless form, and the Adomian decomposition Sumudu transform method(ADSTm) is adopted to solve the conundrum of a moving fin immersed in a trihybrid nanofluid. The obtained results agree well with those numerical simulation results, indicating that this research is reliable. The influence of diverse factors on the thermal overview for varying noninteger values of γ is analyzed and presented in graphical representations. Furthermore, the fluctuations in the heat transfer concerning the pertinent parameters are studied. The results show that the heat flux in the presence of the combination of spherical, cylindrical, and platelet nanoparticles is higher than that in the presence of the combination of only spherical and cylindrical nanoparticles. The temperature at the fin tip increases by 0.705 759% when the value of the Peclet number increases by 400%, while decreases by 11.825 13% when the value of the Hartman number increases by 400%.

cannabinoids are lipophilic substances derived from cannabis sativa that can exert a variety of effects in the human body.They have been studied in cellular and animal models as well as in human clinical trials for their therapeutic benefits in several human diseases.Some of these include central nervous system(cNS)diseases and dysfunctions such as forms of epilepsy,multiple sclerosis,Parkinson’s disease,pain and neuropsychiatric disorders.In addition,the endogenously produced cannabinoid lipids,endocannabinoids,are critical for normal cNS function,and if controlled or modified,may represent an additional therapeutic avenue for cNS diseases.This review discusses in vitro cellular,ex vivo tissue and in vivo animal model studies on cannabinoids and their utility as therapeutics in multiple cNS pathologies.In addition,the review provides an overview on the use of cannabinoids in human clinical trials for a variety of cNS diseases.cannabinoids and endocannabinoids hold promise for use as disease modifiers and therapeutic agents for the prevention or treatment of neurodegenerative diseases and neurological disorders.
