The centro de Laseres Pulsados in Salamanca,Spain has recently started operation phase and the first user access period on the 6 J 30 fs 200 TW system(VEGA 2)already started at the beginning of *** this paper we report on two c.mmissioning experiments recently performed on the VEGA 2 system in preparation for the user *** 2 system has been tested in different configurations depending on the focusing optics and targets *** configuration(long focal length F=130 cm)is for underdense laser-matter interaction where VEGA 2 is focused onto a low density gas-jet generating electron beams(via laser wake field acceleration mechanism)with maximum energy up to 500 meV and an X-ray betatron source with a 10 keV critical energy.A second configuration(short focal length F= 40 cm)is for overdense laser-matter interaction where VEGA 2 is focused onto a 5 μm thick Al target generating a proton beam with a maximum energy of 10 meV and temperature of 2.5 *** this paper we present preliminary experimental results.

This paper deals with the problem of recreating horizontal alignments of existing railway *** main objective is to propose a simple method for automatically obtaining optimized recreated alignments located as close as possible to an existing *** on a previously defined geometric.model,two different constrained optimization problems are *** first problem uses only the information provided by a set of points representing the track centerline while the second one also considers additional data about the existing *** proposed methodology consists of a two-stage process in which both problems are solved consecutively using numerical *** main results obtained applying this methodology are presented to show its performance and to prove its practical usefulness:an academic example used to c.mpare with other methods,and a case study of a railway section located in Parga(Spain)in which the geometry of its horizontal alignment is successfully recovered.

Nano phosphors of 2%Dy^(3+)(wt%)doped La_(2)mgTiO_(6) and monovalent/divalent/trivalent co-doped La_(1.98)Dy_(0.02)mgTiO_(6):x%A^(y+)(A^(y+):Li+,Ba^(2+),Sr^(2+),Bi^(3+),and Sm^(3+);0≤x≤2 wt%)were synthesized by c.mbustion *** the XRD data,it is deduced that an increase in the valency of co-dopant increases the crystallinity of the double perovskite orthorhombic nanocrystal *** an increase in co-dopant size,an elevation in optical bandgap is visible with the highest bandgap of 3.835 eV for Bi^(3+).The photo-absorption is monotonically broadened for Sr^(2+),Sm^(3+),and Li+around 200-450 ***351 nm,Dy^(3+)triggered lattice shows major characteristic emission peaks at 480 nm(^(4)F_(9/2)→^(6)H_(15/2)),574 nm(^(4)F_(9/2)→^(6)H_(13/2)),and 670 nm(^(4)F_(9/2)→^(6)H_(11/2)).leading to near white light emission with cIE coordinates(0.341,0.376).Upon co-doping,the PL intensity is significantly increased with maximum emission for trivalent Sm^(3+),followed by divalent Sr^(2+)and monovalent Li+*** increasing excitation wavelength,Sr^(2+)shows a dominated output and it is found that divalent Sr^(2+)is a potential codopant that could enhance luminescence intensity up to 6 times with a Sr^(2+)→Dy^(3+)energy transfer efficiency of 86%.It is specified that the cIE coordinates of Li+co-doped samples show ideal white emission with color coordinates(0.333,0.336).The concluding outc.mes signify the noblest rare earth Sm^(3+)co-doping and thus Sm^(3+)→Dy^(3+)energy transfer mechanism is discussed in detail.

G protein-coupled receptors(GPcRs) are key players in cell c.mmunication and are encoded by the largest family in our genome. As such, GPcRs represent the main targets in drug development programs. Sequence analysis revealed several classes of GPcRs: the class A rhodopsin-like receptors represent the majority, the class B includes the secretin-like and adhesion GPcRs, the class F includes the frizzled receptors, and the class c includes receptors for the main neurotransmitters, glutamate and GABA, and those for sweet and umami taste and calcium receptors. class c receptors are far more c.mplex than other GPcRs, being mandatory dimers, with each subunit being c.mposed of several domains. In this review, we summarize our actual knowledge regarding the activation mechanism and subunit organization of class c GPcRs, and how this brings information for many other GPcRs.

As environmental concerns from fossil fuel consumption intensify,large-scale energy storage bec.mes imperative for the integration of renewable sources like wind,hydro,and solar with the electrical *** flow batteries,particularly those employing organic.molecules,are positioned as a key technology for this *** review explores the growing field of symmetric organic redox flow batteries(ORFBs)within this *** traditional asymmetric designs based on unique active materials for each electrode,symmetric ORFBs involve a single bipolar species for both *** review highlights the benefits of a symmetric design,and categorizes five distinct classes of organic bipolar molecules used in both aqueous and non-aqueous *** providing a c.mprehensive overview of their cell cycling and performance characteristics,the strengths and weaknesses of the diverse categories of bipolar molecules are highlighted for both solvent systems,as are opportunities for future *** should guide new research directions and advance the development of practical symmetric ORFBs.

Objective: We describe patients with mcS, the evolution of the Quick Environmental Exposure and Sensitivity Inventory (QEESI) score with a special focus on people whose fillings were removed. methods: We have conducted a retrospective longitudinal cohort study in patients diagnosed with mcS and attended in the outpatient Internal medicine department of the University Hospital of San Juan de Alicante, from January 1, 2008 to January 1, 2021. Sociodemographic, clinical, QEESI and treatment-related variables were collected. We performed descriptive and inferential analyses. mixed linear models were used to analyze the QEESI. calculations were carried out with an α error of 5%. Results: Thirty-three patients were included (72.7% women, mean age 56.2). mcS was mainly triggered by mercury (N = 20) and food intolerance (N = 22). The mean interval from symptoms onset was 120 months (SD 81.6). 114 QEESIs were analyzed: 82 (N = 17 without amalgams) and 32 (N = 16 with amalgams). In patients without amalgams, severity scores increased across all subscales except the masking index (vs. with amalgams). mean scores for the group without amalgams (vs. with amalgams) were: chemical intolerance, 62.8 points (vs. 63.4 and 46.7);other intolerances, 52.7 points (vs. 62.8 and 50.3);symptom severity, 63.2 (vs. 76.7 and 63.3);masking index, 3.9 (vs. 3.2 and 2.8);and life impacts, 63.1 (vs. 58.4 and 49.8). conclusion: The profile of patient with mcS is a middle-aged woman who is a frequent user of healthcare services, presents a long diagnostic delay and has borne a great personal, work and socioeconomic impact. The QEESI is useful for the clinical follow-up of patients, including the optimal treatment response in the case of amalgams. clinical Significance: People affected by multiple chemical Sensitivity deserve the attention, understanding and help of health professionals and family members, to face an invisible illness for those who do not suffer from it. The emergence of new technological tools for territorial analysis,such as cloud-based GIS,or GIS viewers,c.mpels us to closely examine its usefulness in geographic education. Specifically,it raises the professors and teachers’ questions: what to teach? how to teach? and what will students learn? This research responds to these three questions by interviewing Spanish experts who know how to use these tools to teach geography at university and secondary school levels. The Delphi technique was applied to achieve this,which established consensus and led to the following results from experts’ own experience: (1) that GIS help to understand territory in an experiential and non-memoristic way and (2) they enable the development of spatial thinking. This paper concludes that changes in methodologies and integrate technical knowledge into teacher training are needed.
