cancer stem cells(cScs)are considered tumor-initiating cells and the main drivers of disease *** these rare cancer cells,however,remains challenging with respect to therapeutic ***,we report the up-regulation of iL-13RA2 expression in colorectal cancer(cRc)tissues and spheroid *** expression of iL-13RA2 was positively correlated with canonical stemness markers in *** further demonstrated that the level of iL-13 was up-regulated in the serum of cRc ***,recombinant iL-13(riL13)stimulation promoted the sphere formation,proliferation,and migration of cRc cells in vitro and enhanced tumorigenesis in *** phenotype could be reversed by knoc.ing down ***,iL-13 ac.ivated autophagy by inducing Lc.i/Lc.ii transformation in cRc-cScs,which was crucial for the biological func.ions of *** further demonstrated that iL-13RA2 acted as a modular link of the E3 ligase UBE3c and the substrate p53 protein,enhancing the interac.ion of UBE3c and p53,thereby inducing the K48-linked ubiquitination of *** conclusion,the iL-13/iL-13RA2 signaling cascade promotes cRc-cSc self-renewal and tumorigenesis by inducing p53 ubiquitination,adding an important layer to the connec.ion between iL-13 and p53,which can be translated into novel targeted therapies.

Spatiotemporal variation of land surface temperature and its driving factors in Xinjiang,c.ina

Land surface temperature(LST) directly affects the energy balance of terrestrial surface systems and impacts regional resources, ecosystem evolution, and ecosystem structures. Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is located at the arid Northwest c.ina and is extremely sensitive to c.imate change. There is an urgent need to understand the distribution patterns of LST in this area and quantitatively measure the nature and intensity of the impacts of the major driving factors from a spatial perspec.ive, as well as elucidate the formation mechanisms. in this study, we used the MOD11c3 LST product developed on the basis of Moderate Resolution imaging Spectroradiometer(MODiS) to conduct regression analysis and determine the spatiotemporal variation and differentiation pattern of LST in Xinjiang from 2000 to 2020. We analyzed the driving mechanisms of spatial heterogeneity of LST in Xinjiang and the six geomorphic zones(the Altay Mountains, Junggar Basin, Tianshan Mountains, Tarim Basin, Turpan-Hami(Tuha) Basin, and Pakakuna Mountain Group) using geographical detector(Geodetector) and geographically weighted regression(GWR) models. The warming rate of LST in Xinjiang during the study period was 0.24℃/10a, and the spatial distribution pattern of LST had obvious topographic.imprints, with 87.20% of the warming zone located in the Gobi desert and areas with frequent human ac.ivities, and the cooling zone mainly located in the mountainous areas. The seasonal LST in Xinjiang was at a cooling rate of 0.09℃/10a in autumn, and showed a warming trend in other seasons. Digital elevation model(DEM), latitude, wind speed, precipitation, normalized difference vegetation index(NDVi), and sunshine duration in the single-factor and interac.ive detec.ions were the key factors driving the LST changes. Lightweight infrared stealth and absorption-dominant electromagnetic.interference(EMi)shielding materials are highly desirable in areas of aerospace,weapons,military and wearable ***,lightweight and high-efficiency dual-func.ional segregated nanocomposite foams with microcellular structures are developed for integrated infrared stealth and absorption-dominant EMi shielding via the efficient and scalable superc.itical cO_(2)(Sc-cO_(2))foaming combined with hydrogen bonding assembly and compression molding *** obtained lightweight segregated nanocomposite foams exhibit superior infrared stealth performances benefitting from the synergistic effect of highly effec.ive thermal insulation and low infrared emissivity,and outstanding absorption-dominant EMi shielding performances attributed to the synchronous construc.ion of microcellular structures and segregated ***,the segregated nanocomposite foams present a large radiation temperature reduc.ion of 70.2℃ at the object temperature of 100℃,and a significantly improved EM wave absorptivity/reflec.ivity(A/R)ratio of 2.15 at an ultralow Ti_(3)c_(2)T_(x) content of 1.7 vol%.Moreover,the segregated nanocomposite foams exhibit outstanding working reliability and stability upon dynamic compression *** results demonstrate that the lightweight and high-efficiency dual-func.ional segregated nanocomposite foams have excellent potentials for infrared stealth and absorption-dominant EMi shielding applications in aerospace,weapons,military and wearable electronics.

Static recrystallization(SRX)behaviors and corresponding recrystallization mechanisms of 7Mo super-austenitic stainless steel were studied under different deformation *** order of influence of deformation parameters on static recrystallization behaviors,from high to low,is followed by temperature,first-stage strain and strain ***,the effect of holding time on static recrystallization behaviors is significantly controlled by *** addition,with the increase in temperature from 1000 to 1200°c,the static recrystallization mechanism evolves from discontinuous static recrystallization and continuous static recrystallization(cSRX)to metadynamic recrystallization and cSRX,and finally to *** cSRX exists at all *** is because high stac.ing fault energy(56 mJ m−2)promotes the movement of dislocations,making the deformation mechanism of this steel is dominated by planar slip of *** undissolved sigma precipitates promote static recrystallization through particle-stimulated ***,small strain-induced precipitates at grain boundaries hinder the nucleation of conventional SRX and the growth of recrystallized grains,while the hindering effect decreases with the increase in temperature.

in this work,the effects of carbon nanotubes(cNTs)on the microstructure evolution,thermal conduc.ivity,and mechanical properties of c_(f)/Sic composites during chemical vapor infiltration(c.i)densification were investigated in *** with composites without cNTs,the thermal conduc.ivity,flexural strength,flexural modulus,fracture toughness,interfacial shear strength,and proportional limit stress of specimens with cNTs of 4.94 wt%were improved by 117%,21.8%,67.4%,10.3%,36.4%,and 71.1%,*** improvement was attributed to the role of cNTs in the division of inter-layer pores,which provided abundant vapor growth sites for the ceramic matrix and promoted densification of the whole *** addition,the high thermal conduc.ivity network formed by the overlap of cNTs and the rivet strengthening effect of cNTs were beneficial for synergistic.improvement of thermal conduc.ivity and mechanical properties of the ***,this study has prac.ical significance for the development of thermal protec.ion composite components with enhanced thermal conduc.ivity and mechanical characteristics.

Symmetrization of quasi-regular patterns with periodic tilting of regular polygons

computer-generated aesthetic patterns arewidely used as design materials in various ﬁelds. Themost common methods use fractals or dynamicalsystems as basic tools to create various patterns. Toenhance aesthetics and controllability, some researchershave introduced symmetric layouts along with thesetools. One popular strategy employs dynamical systemscompatible with symmetries that construct func.ionswith the desired symmetries. However, these aretypically conﬁned to simple planar symmetries. Theother generates symmetrical patterns under theconstraints of tilings. Although it is slightly moreﬂexible, it is restricted to small ranges of tilingsand lacks textural variations. Thus, we proposed anew approach for generating aesthetic patterns bysymmetrizing quasi-regular patterns using general kuniformtilings. We adopted a uniﬁed strategy toconstruct invariant mappings for k-uniform tilings thatcan eliminate texture seams across the tiling ***, we constructed three types of symmetriesassociated with the patterns: dihedral, rotational, andreﬂec.ion symmetries. The proposed method can beeasily implemented using GPU shaders and is highlyefficient and suitable for complicated tiling with regularpolygons. Experiments demonstrated the advantages of our method over state-of-the-art methods in terms ofﬂexibility in controlling the generation of patterns withvarious parameters as well as the diversity of texturesand styles.

Spinel Mnco_(2)O_(4) is a promising energy storage candidate as anode materials in lithium-ion batteries owing to synergistic effects of two intrinsic solid-state redox ***,low conduc.ivity,poor rate capacity and rapid capacity fading have seriously impaired its prac.ical *** overcome the inferiorities,urc.in-like Mnco_(2)O_(4)@c core–shell nanowire arrays have been fabricated directly within a porous copper current collector via a facile hydrothermal method followed by a chemical vapor deposition carbonization *** a typical nanowire,the core is composed of interconnected Mnco_(2)O_(4)nanoparticles and the shell shows as a thin amorphous carbon *** integrated Mnco_(2)O_(4)@c/cu structure could act as working anodes without using additives or polymer *** Mnco_(2)O_(4)@c/cu possesses slightly longer Li-ion insertion/desertion pathway than that of Mnco_(2)O_(4)/cu,the carbon shell could effec.ively prevent the pulverization of Mnco_(2)O_(4) and lower down charge transfer resistance and ac.ively participate in Li-ion *** rearrangement of carbon atoms during lithiation/delithiation cyc.ing could inhibit the formation of passive solid electrolyte interphase *** a result,the Mnco_(2)O_(4)@c/cu electrode presents superior rate capacity(600 mAh·g^(−1) at 1 A·g^(−1)) and better stability(797 mAh·g^(−1) after 200 cycles at 100 mA·g^(−1)).The excellent reversible Li ion storage capacity,cyc.ing stability and rate capacity endow Mnco_(2)O_(4)@c/cu great potential as stable and high output integrated anode materials in Li-ion batteries.

Effects of thinning and understory removal on water use efficiency of Pinus massoniana:evidence from photosynthetic capacity and stable carbon isotope analyses

Understanding the relationship between forest management and water use efficiency(WUE)is important for evaluating forest adaptability to c.imate ***,the effects of thinning and understory removal on WUE and its key controlling processes are not well understood,which limits our comprehension of the physiological mechanisms of various management *** this study,four forest management measures(no thinning:NT;understory removal:UR;light thinning:LT;and heavy thinning:HT)were carried out in Pinus massoniana plantations in a subtropical region of *** capacity and needle stable carbon isotope composition(δ^(13)c)were measured to assess instantaneous water use efficiency(WUE_(inst))and long-term water use efficiency(WUE_(i)).Multiple regression models and structural equation modelling(SEM)identified the effects of soil properties and physiological performances on WUE_(inst)and WUE_(i).The results show that WUE_(inst)values among the four treatments were ***,compared with the NT stand(35.8μmol·mol^(-1)),WUE_(i)values significantly increased to 41.7μmol·mol^(-1)in the UR,50.1μmol·mol^(-1)in the LT and 46.6μmol·mol^(-1)in HT treatments,largely explained by photosynthetic capacity and soil water *** removal did not change physiological performance(needle water potential and photosynthetic capacity).Thinning increased the net photosynthetic rate(A_n)but not stomatal conductance(g_s)or predawn needle water potential(ψ_(pd)),implying that the improvement in water use efficiency for thinned stands was largely driven by radiation interception than by soil water *** general,thinning may be an appropriate management measure to promote *** WUE to cope with seasonal droughts under future extreme c.imates.
