Study of the ability of SWOT to detect sea surface height changes caused by internal solitary waves

Surface Water and Ocean Topography(SWOT)is a next-generation radar altimeter that offers high resolution,wide swath,imaging *** has provided free public data worldwide since December *** paper aims to preliminarily analyze the detection capabilities of the Ka-band radar interferometer(KaRIn)and Nadir altimeter(NAlT),which are carried out by SWOT for internal solitary waves(ISWs),and to gather other remote sensing images to validate SWOT *** effectively detects ISW surface features and generates surface height variation maps reflecting the modulations induced by ***,its swath width does not completely cover the entire wave packet,and the resolution of l2/l3 level products(about 2 km)cannot be used to identify ISWs with smaller ***,significant wave height(SWH)images exhibit blocky structures that are not suitable for ISW studies;sea surface height anomaly(SSHA)images display systematic leftright *** optimize this imbalance using detrending methods;however,more precise treatment should commence with l1-level *** analysis based on l3-level SSHA data indicates that the average SSHA variation induced by ISWs ranges from 10 cm to 20 *** disturbed by ISWs record unusually elevated SWH and SSHA values,rendering the data unsuitable for analysis and necessitating targeted corrections in future retracking *** the normalized radar cross section,Ku-band and four-parameter maximum likelihood estimation retracking demonstrated greater sensitivity to minor changes in the sea surface,making them more suitable for ISW *** conclusion,SWOT demonstrates outstanding capabilities in ISW detection,significantly advancing research on the modulation of the sea surface by ISWs and remote sensing imaging mechanisms.

Biomimetic porous silicon oxycarbide ceramics with improved specific strength and efficient thermal insulation

considering the challenge of aerodynamic heating,the development of high-performance insulating ce-ramic materials with lightweight and low thermal conductivity is crucially important for aerospace vehi-cles to achieve flight at high speed for a long *** this work,macro-porous silicon oxycarbide(SiOc)ceramics with directional pores(DP-SiOc)(mean pore size of 88.1μm)were prepared using polysiloxane precursors via freeze casting and photocrosslinking,followed by *** DP-SiOc samples were lightweight(density∼0.135 g cm^(-3))with a porosity of 90.4%,which showed good shapability through the molding of polysiloxane *** DP-SiOc samples also exhibited an ultra-low thermal con-ductivity of 0.048 W(m K)^(-1)at room temperature,which can also withstand heat treatment at 1200°c for 1 *** addition,scaffolds with triply periodic minimal surfaces(TPMS)were fabricated using digital light processing(DlP)printing,which was further filled with polysiloxane precursors for increasing the strength of *** TPMS scaffolds filled with macro-porous SiOc ceramics(TPMS-DP-SiOc)showed good integration between TPMS and macro-pore structures,which had a porosity∼75%and high specific strength of 9.73×10^(3)N m kg^(-1).The thermal conductivity of TPMS-DP-SiOc samples was 0.255 W(m K)^(-1)at room *** biomimetic TPMS-DP-SiOc ceramics developed in this study are likely used for thermal protection systems.

Yttrium iron garnet(YIG)is a promising material for various terahertz applications due to its special optical *** present,a high-quality YIG wafer is the desire of terahertz communities and it is still challenging to prepare substrate-free YIG single crystal *** this work,we prepared wafer-level substrate-free la:YIG single crystal films,for the first time,to our *** optical and magneto-optical properties of la:YIG films were characterized by terahertz time domain spectroscopy(THz-TDS).Results show that the as-prepared la:YIG film has an insertion loss of less than 3 dB and a low absorption coefficient of less than10 cm-1below 1.6 *** from the thickness of the substrate-free YIG films and low insertion loss,their terahertz properties could be further manipulated by simply using a wafer-stacking *** four la:YIG films were stacked,there was an insertion loss of less than 10 dB in the range of 0.1-1.2 *** Faraday rotation angle of the four-layer-stacked la:YIG films reached 19°,and the isolation could reach17 *** further increasing the stacking number to eight pieces,a remarkable Faraday rotation angle of45°was achieved with an isolation of 23 dB,which is important for practical application in the THz *** material may provide a milestone opportunity to make various non-reciprocal devices,such as isolators and phase shifters.

Rapid lithium-ion insertion/extraction and migration behavior of Na_(2)WO_(4)-encapsulated lithium-rich layered oxide cathode

Due to the low cost,high working voltage and high storage capacity,li-rich Mn-based layered compounds show promise as the cathode materials for lithiumion batteries(lIBs).However,the side reactions at the solid-liquid interface of the cathode will lead to rapid capacity decay and inferior rate ***,this article proposes a liquid-phase dispersion strategy to introduce a Na_(2)WO_(4)layer on the li_(1.2)Ni_(0.13)-co_(0.13)Mn_(0.54)O_(2) cathode,which can reduce the side effects between raw materials and electrolyte and promote the insertion/extraction rate of li^(+),thus enhancing the material stability and rate *** a result,the capacity retention rate is 96.9%after 200 cycles under ***,the capacities are 177.5,149.5,111.1 and58.3 mAh·g^(-1)at 1c,2c,5c and 10c,implying a superior fast charging *** exceptional performance can be ascribed to both the increased conductivity and enhanced structural stability of the cathode ***'s more,based on the investigation of ion insertion/extraction behavior in electrode materials and the ion migration kinetics in the electrolyte,this study suggests that coating li-rich Mn-based materials with Na_(2)WO_(4)can be a promising strategy to improve their performance in lIBs.

S-scheme regulated Ni_(2)P-NiS/twinned Mn_(0.5)cd_(0.5)S hetero-homojunctions for efficient photocatalytic H_(2)evolution

Effective bulk phase and surface charge separation is critical for charge utilization during the photo-catalytic energy conversion *** this work,the ternary Ni_(2)P-NiS/twinned Mn_(0.5)cd_(0.5)S(T-McS)nanohybrids were successfully constructed via combining Ni_(2)P-NiS with T-McS solid solution for visible light photocatalytic H_(2)evolution.T-McS is composed of zinc blende Mn_(0.5)cd_(0.5)S(ZB-McS)and wurtzite Mn_(0.5)cd_(0.5)S(WZ-McS)and those two alternatively arranged crystal phases endow T-McS with excellent bulk phase charge separation performance for the slight energy level difference between ZB-McS and WZ-McS.S-scheme carriers transfer route between NiS and T-McS can accelerate the interfacial charge separation and retain the active electrons and holes,meanwhile,co-catalyst Ni_(2)P as electron receiver and proton reduction center can further optimize the H_(2)evolution reaction kinetics based on the surface Schottky barrier *** above-formed homo-heterojunctions can establish multiple charge transfer channels in the bulk phase of T-McS and interface of T-McS and Ni_(2)*** the synergistic effect of twinned homojunction,S-scheme heterojunction,and Schottky barrier,the ternary Ni_(2)P-NiS/T-McS com-posite manifested an H_(2)production rate of 122.5 mmol h^(-1)g^(-1),which was 1.33,1.24,and 2.58 times higher than those of the NiS/T-McS(92.4 mmol h^(-1)g^(-1)),Ni_(2)P/T-McS(98.4 mmol h^(-1)g^(-1)),and T-McS(47.5 mmol h^(-1)g^(-1)),*** work demonstrates a promising strategy to develop efficient sul-fides photocatalyst toward targeted solar-driven H_(2)evolution through homo-heterojunction engineering.

Effects of shore-normal coastal structure on medium-to long-term embayed shoreline evolution

Based on high-tide shoreline data extracted from 87 landsat satellite images from 1986 to 2019 as well as using the linear regression rate and performing a Mann-Kendall(M–K)trend test,this study analyzes the linear characteristics and nonlinear behavior of the medium-to long-term shoreline evolution of Jinghai Bay,eastern Guangdong *** particular,shoreline rotation caused by a shore-normal coastal structure is *** results show that the overall shoreline evolution over the past 30 years is characterized by erosion on the southwest beach,with an average erosion rate of 3.1 m/a,and significant accretion on the northeast beach,with an average accretion rate of 5.6 m/*** of the M–K trend test indicate that significant shoreline changes occurred in early 2006,which can be attributed to shore-normal *** to that engineering construction,the shorelines are slightly eroded,where the average erosion rate is 0.7 m/***,after shore-normal engineering is performed,the shoreline is characterized by significant erosion(3.2 m/a)on the southwest beach and significant accretion(8.5 m/a)on the northeast beach,thus indicating that the shore-normal engineering at the updrift headland contributes to clockwise shoreline *** analysis shows that the clockwise shoreline rotation is promoted not only by longshore sediment transport processes from southwest to northeast,but also by cross-shore sediment transport *** findings are crucial for beach erosion risk management,coastal disaster zoning,regional sediment budget assessments,and further observations and predictions of beach morphodynamics.

Designing metal-organic framework fiber network reinforced polymer electrolytes to provide continuous ion transport in solid state lithium metal batteries

Polyethylene oxide(PEO)-based solid-state electrolytes are considered ideal for electrolyte materials in solid-state lithium metal batteries(SSlMBs).However,practical applications are hindered by the lower conductivity and poor interfacial ***,we propose a strategy to construct a three-dimensional(3D)fiber network of metal-organic frameworks(MOFs).composite solid electrolytes(cSEs)with continuous ion transport pathways were fabricated by filling a PEO polymer matrix in fibers containing interconnected *** 3D fiber network provides a fast li+transport path and effectively improves the ionic conductivity(1.36×10^(-4) S·cm^(-1),30℃).In addition,the network of interconnected MOFs not only effectively traps the anions,but also provides sufficient mechanical strength to prevent the growth of li *** from the advantages of structural design,the cSEs stabilize the li/electrolyte interface and extend the cycle life of the li-symmetric cells to 3000 *** assembled SSlMBs exhibit excellent cycling performance at both room and high *** addition,the constructed pouch cells can provide an areal capacity of 0.62 mA·h·cm^(-2),which can still operate under extreme *** work provides a new strategy for the design of cSEs with continuous structure and stable operation of SSlMBs.

In this paper,a multi-bus distributed Power conditioning Unit(PcU)is proposed for the Space Solar Power Station with large scale photovoltaic(PV)array and power levels reaching MW *** this unit,there are multiple independent PV *** each PV array,there are multiple independent PV *** this paper,a V-P droop control method with adaptive droop coefficient is proposed,which modifies the droop intercept based on the bus voltage deviation and the power per unit value of the PV *** method ensures the accuracy of bus voltage and achieves proportional distribution of power between PV arrays based on the proposed topology structure in this *** the load changes or the output power of the PV array fluctuates,this method can ensure that power is distributed *** principle and control method of the proposed droop control method is analyzed in this *** effectiveness of the method is verified through MATlAB/Simulink simulation and *** and experimental results show that the proposed method can achieve power distributed proportionally when load changes and PV output power fluctuates,reduce bus voltage error caused by line impedance and differences in rated power of different PV arrays,and improve the performance of PV power generation system applied to space.

cooperative decision-making algorithm with efficient convergence for UcAV formation in beyond-visual-range air combat based on multi-agent reinforcement learning

Highly intelligent Unmanned combat Aerial Vehicle(UcAV)formation is expected to bring out strengths in Beyond-Visual-Range(BVR)air *** Multi-Agent Reinforcement learning(MARl)shows outstanding performance in cooperative decision-making,it is challenging for existing MARl algorithms to quickly converge to an optimal strategy for UcAV formation in BVR air combat where confrontation is complicated and reward is extremely sparse and *** to solve this problem,this paper proposes an Advantage Highlight Multi-Agent Proximal Policy Optimization(AHMAPPO)***,at every step,the AHMAPPO records the degree to which the best formation exceeds the average of formations in parallel environments and carries out additional advantage sampling according to ***,the sampling result is introduced into the updating process of the actor network to improve its optimization ***,the simulation results reveal that compared with some state-of-the-art MARl algorithms,the AHMAPPO can obtain a more excellent strategy utilizing fewer sample episodes in the UcAV formation BVR air combat simulation environment built in this paper,which can reflect the critical features of BVR air *** AHMAPPO can significantly increase the convergence efficiency of the strategy for UcAV formation in BVR air combat,with a maximum increase of 81.5%relative to other algorithms.

Enhancing Evolutionary Algorithms With Pattern Mining for Sparse large-Scale Multi-Objective Optimization Problems

Sparse large-scale multi-objective optimization problems(SlMOPs)are common in science and ***,the large-scale problem represents the high dimensionality of the decision space,requiring algorithms to traverse vast expanse with limited computational ***,in the context of sparse,most variables in Pareto optimal solutions are zero,making it difficult for algorithms to identify non-zero variables *** paper is dedicated to addressing the challenges posed by *** start,we introduce innovative objective functions customized to mine maximum and minimum candidate *** substantial enhancement dramatically improves the efficacy of frequent pattern *** this way,selecting candidate sets is no longer based on the quantity of nonzero variables they contain but on a higher proportion of nonzero variables within specific ***,we unveil a novel approach to association rule mining,which delves into the intricate relationships between non-zero *** novel methodology aids in identifying sparse distributions that can potentially expedite reductions in the objective function *** extensively tested our algorithm across eight benchmark problems and four real-world *** results demonstrate that our approach achieves competitive solutions across various challenges.
