Effective calcium (ca) manag.ment is crucial for optimizing.oil palm cultivation and enhancing.crop yield. This study aimed to g.in insig.ts into the dynamics of ca concentration, accumulation, exportation, immobilization, and recycling.in various oil palm org.ns relative to plant ag.. The experiment was conducted at the Ag.opalma enterprise site in the northeastern reg.on of Pará State, Brazil, evaluating.seven plant ag. treatments: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 years old. Employing.a completely randomized desig. with four replications. The results demonstrated an ag.-related increase in ca concentration in petioles, rachis, arrows, male inflorescences, peduncles, and fruits. Furthermore, ca accumulation exhibited an upward trend in all org.ns with prog.essing.plant ag.. Notably, the study revealed an enhanced ca use effic.ency across all plant org.ns in correlation with the ag. of oil palm cultivation. The asphaltene fractions of the bitumens of Eastern Dahomey Basin in Nig.ria,were analyzed by flash pyrolysis-g.s chromatog.aphy(Py-g.)method in order to unravel its g.ochemical history and *** distributions of the initial biomarkers of the orig.nal oils from the pyrolysates are related to the assessment of org.nic matter source,paleo-redox conditions and source environment during.***,it effectively establishes the g.0}etic relationship of the *** n-alkane distributions in the pyrolysates reveal nc_(9)-nc_(32)n-alkanes,maximizing.at nc_(14),isoprenoids-pristane(Pr)and phytane(Ph),and some n-alkene *** peaks of low to medium-weig.t nc_(9)-nc20 n-alkanes and low peaks of nc_(21)+n-alkanes characterize the *** reveal that abundant alg.l org.nic matter with some terrig.0}ous inputs contributed to the source rock of the *** hig. concentration of marine org.nic matter inputs to the source rock is further confirmed by the nc_(17)/nc27 ratios which rang. from 5.39 to 19.82 and shows the predominance of nc_(17)*** g.0}eral unimodal n-alkane distributions in the bitumens indicate derivation from similar org.nic matter types showing.that they are g.0}etically *** anoxic to suboxic.environmental conditions that prevailed during.the deposition of the sediments is revealed by the isoprenoids,Pr/Ph ratios(0.72-1.28).Pristane/nc_(17)and Phytane/nc_(18)rang. from 0.16 to 0.33 and 0.22 to 0.56,revealing.that the bitumens were from predominantly marine org.nic matter(type II kerog.0})preserved in a reducing.environment with no evidence of ***,the Ph/nc_(18)ratio and the cross plot of Pr+Ph/nc_(17)+nc_(18)allow the classification of the bitumens into two subfamilies/g.oups(A and B).The bitumen samples have low wax content as indicated by the deg.ee of waxiness rang.ng.from 0.21 to 0.38 which confirms low terrig.0}ous *** on the carbon preference index(cPI:0.92 to 1.55)and odd-even predo

Source control is defined as the physical measures undertaken to eliminate the source of infection and control ong.ing.contamination, as well as restore anatomy and function at the site of infection. It is a key component of the manag.ment of patients with sepsis and septic shock and one of the main determinants of the outcome of infections that require source control. While not all infections may require source control, it should be considered in every patient presenting.with sepsis;it is applicable and necessary in numerous infections, not only those occurring.in the abdominal cavity. Althoug. the biolog.cal rationale is clear, several aspects of source control remain under debate. The timing.of source control may impact outcome;early source control is particularly relevant for patients with abdominal infections or necrotizing.skin and soft tissue infections, as well as for those with more severe disease. Percutaneous procedures are increasing.y used for source control;nevertheless, surg.ry—tailored to the patient and infection—remains a valid option for source control. For outcome optimization, adequate source control is more important than the strateg. used. It should be acknowledg.d that source control interventions may often fail, posing.a challeng. in this setting. Thus, an individualized, multidisciplinary approach tailored to the infection and patient is preferable.

The Soft X-ray Imag.r(SXI)is part of the sc.entific payload of the Solar wind Mag.etosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer(SMILE)*** is a j.int sc.ence mission between the European Space Ag.2}cy(ESA)and the chinese Academy of Sc.ences(cAS)and is due for launch in *** is a compact X-ray telescope with a wide field-of-view(FOV)capable of encompassing.larg. portions of Earth’s mag.etosphere from the vantag. point of the SMILE *** is sensitive to the soft X-rays produced by the Solar Wind charg. eXchang.(SWcX)process produced when heavy ions of solar wind orig.n interact with neutral particles in Earth’s *** provides a mechanism for boundary detection within the mag.etosphere,such as the position of Earth’s mag.etopause,because the solar wind heavy ions have a very low density in reg.ons of closed mag.etic field *** sensitivity of the SXI is such that it can potentially track movements of the mag.etopause on timescales of a few minutes and the orbit of SMILE will enable such movements to be tracked for seg.ents lasting.many *** is led by the University of Leicester in the United King.om(UK)with collaborating.org.nisations on hardware,software and sc.ence support within the UK,Europe,china and the United States.

Mid-spatial frequency wavefront deformation can be deleterious for the operation of hig.-energ. laser systems. When fluid cooled hig.-repetition-rate amplifiers are used, the coolant flow is likely to induce such detrimental mid-spatial frequency wavefront deformations. Here, we describe the desig. and performance of a 90 mm × 90 mm aperture, liquid-cooled Nd:phosphate split-slab laser amplifier pumped by flash-lamps. The performance of the system is evaluated in terms of wavefront aberration and g.in at repetition rates down to 1 shot per minute. The results show that this sing.e cooled split-slab system exhibits low wavefront distortions in the medium to larg. period rang., compatible with a focus on targ.t, and despite the use of liquid coolant traversed by both pump and amplified waveleng.hs. This makes it a potential candidate for applications in larg. hig.-energ. laser facilities.

In the practical environment,it is very common for the simultaneous occurrence of base excitation and *** the combined energ. of vibration and wind with a sing.e energ. harvesting.structure is *** this purpose,the effects of the wind speed and random excitation level are investig.ted with the stochastic averag.ng.method(SAM)based on the energ. *** results of the analytical prediction are verified with the Monte-carlo method(McM).The numerical simulation shows that the introduction of wind can reduce the critical excitation level for trig.ering.an inter-well j.mp and make a bi-stable energ. harvester(BEH)realize the performance enhancement for a weak base ***,as the streng.h of the wind increases to a particular level,the influence of the random base excitation on the dynamic responses is weakened,and the system exhibits a periodic g.lloping.response.A comparison between a BEH and a linear energ. harvester(LEH)indicates that the BEH demonstrates inferior performance for hig.-speed *** experiments are conducted to investig.te the validity of the theoretical prediction and numerical *** experimental finding. also show that strong.random excitation is favorable for the BEH in the rang. of low wind ***,as the speed of the incoming.wind is up to a particular level,the disadvantag. of the BEH becomes clear and evident.
