p.rtial shading is a c.mmon p.enomenon in p. arrays. They drastic.lly reduc. the p.wer outp.t bec.use of mismatc. losses, whic. are reliant on the shap. of the shade as well as the loc.tions of shaded p.nels in the array. The p.wer outp.t c.n be imp.oved by distributing the shade over various rows to maximize the c.rrent entering the node. A Su-Do-Ku c.nfiguration c.n be used to rearrange the p.ysic.l loc.tions of the p. modules in a total c.oss tied p. array with the elec.ric.l c.nnec.ions left unc.anged. However, this arrangement inc.eases the length of the wire required to interc.nnec. the p.nels thus inc.easing the line losses. In this p.p.r, an imp.oved Su-Do-Ku arrangement that reduc.s the length of the wire required for the c.nnec.ion is p.op.sed. The system is designed and simulated in a Matlab/Simulink environment for various shading p.tterns and the effic.c.es of various arrangements are c.mp.red. The results p.ove that the p.wer outp.t is higher in the p.op.sed imp.oved Su-Do- Ku rec.nfiguration tec.nique c.mp.red to the earlier p.op.sed Su-Do-Ku tec.nique.

Molec.lar frame p.otoemission is a very sensitive p.obe of the p.otoionization （p.） dynamic. of molec.les. This p.p.r rep.rts a c.mp.rative study of non-resonant and resonant p.otoionization of D2 induc.d by VUV c.rc.larly p.larized sync.rotron radiation at SOLEIL at the level of the molec.lar frame p.otoelec.ron angular distributions （MFp.Ds）. We use the vec.or c.rrelation method whic. c.mbines imaging and time-of-flight resolved elec.ron-ion c.inc.denc. tec.niques, and a generalized formalism for the exp.ession of the Ⅰ（χ, θe, Фe） MFp.Ds, where χ is the orientation of the molec.lar axis with resp.c. to the light quantization axis and （θe, Фe） the elec.ron emission direc.ion in the molec.lar frame. Selec.ed MFp.Ds for a molec.le aligned p.rallel or p.rp.ndic.lar to linearly p.larized light, or p.rp.ndic.lar to the p.op.gation axis of c.rc.larly p.larized light, are p.esented for dissoc.ative p.otoionization （Dp.） of D2 at two p.oton exc.tation energies, hv=19 eV, where direc. p. is the only c.annel op.ned, and hv=32.5 eV, i.e. in the region involving resonant exc.tation of Q1 and Q2 doubly exc.ted state series. We disc.ss in p.rtic.lar the p.op.rties of the c.rc.lar dic.roism c.arac.erizing p.otoemission in the molec.lar frame for direc. and resonant p.. In the latter c.se, a remarkable behavior is observed whic. may be attributed to the interferenc. oc.urring between undistinguishable autoionization dec.y c.annels.

This study determined the nutritional status of households in North western region of c.meroon using weighed food intake. Twenty–two rural and 106 urban households were randomly selec.ed for weighed food intake Desc.ip.ive and inferential statistic. were used to analyze c.llec.ed data and signific.nc. at p.c.ep.ed. c.rn fufu with huc.leberry was the most frequently c.nsumed meal with little or no animal-sourc. p.otein. p.otein and B group.vitamins intake of resp.ndents in both c.mmunities were below the FAO/WHO rec.mmended values while energy, iron, and vitamins A and c.were in exc.ss for most age group.. Adolesc.nts 10 - 19 years and adults 20 years and above failed to meet at least 85% of RNI for c.lc.um.

The insec.-selec.ive neurotoxin(BmK IT) of sc.rp.on Buthus martensi Karsc. was first reduc.d and S-alkylated, and then digested by Tp.K-tryp.in and Stap.yloc.c.us aureus V-8 p.otease. The enzymatic.p.p.ides were p.rified on TLc.p.astic.sheet and submitted to determine their amino ac.d c.mp.sitions and sequenc.s. The sequenc. of the 70 amino ac.d residues of BmK IT was established with referenc. to the p.imary struc.ure of AaH IT, another exc.tatory insec.-selec.ive toxin from the venom of North Afric.n sc.rp.on Androc.onus australis Hec.or. About 75% of the homologous sequenc. was found in the molec.les of BmK IT and AaH IT. It is obvious that the results c.ntribute toward better understanding of the molec.lar struc.ure c.arac.eristic., struc.ure/ac.ivity relationship.of sc.rp.on insec.-selec.ive toxins, and they c.n serve as the molec.lar basis for utilizing the toxins as a tool to c.arify molec.lar mec.anism involved in c.annel gating, and to infer the p.ssibility of develop.ng them as new selec.ive bioinsec.ic.des.

We determined whether the inc.usion of 100 g/kg dry matter of grap. p.mac. silage (Gp.) and grap. p.mac. bran (Gp.) as substitutes for other traditional fiber sourc.s in the diet of steers (c.arolais x Nellore) would imp.ove c.rc.ss c.arac.eristic., meat quality and c.mp.sition, and shelf life. Twenty-four animals (248 ± 19.32 kg of initial body weight) were fed a high c.nc.ntrate diet for 121 days. c.rc.ss c.arac.eristic. were measured, and the longissimus dorsi musc.e was analyzed for fatty ac.d (FA) p.ofile and c.mp.sition. The meat was slic.d and stored in air-p.rmeable p.c.ages for 10 days. On eac. samp.ing day (d 1, 3, 7, and 10), oxidative stability, bac.erial load, lip.d and p.otein oxidation, and staining were analyzed. The exp.rimental diets influenc.d the p. of c.ld c.rc.sses only. The Gp. group.had a higher p. than the c.ntrol. The Gp. and Gp. group. showed imp.oved oxidant status (i.e., lower lip.d p.roxidation and c.nc.ntrations of reac.ive oxygen sp.c.es were in the meat of both group. than in c.ntrol). On the first day of storage, the antioxidant enzyme glutathione S-transferase ac.ivity was more signific.nt in the meat of the Gp. and Gp. group. than in the c.ntrol. The bac.erial loads in the meat were attenuated by Gp. inc.usion;there were lower total c.liform c.unts and a trend toward lower c.unts for enterobac.eria in the c.ntrol group. The diets altered the FA p.ofile of the meat;i.e., the Gp. diet allowed for a more signific.nt amount of the n-6 omegas in the meat, while the Gp. diet showed a tendenc. for a more signific.nt amount of n-6 and 9 omegas. Both diets (Gp. and Gp.) inc.eased the amounts of long-c.ain FAs. The Gp. diet dec.eased saturated FA levels. We c.nc.ude that the dietary treatments Gp. and Gp. are a p.omising alternative to maintain meat quality standards throughout in real-world retail c.nditions. These treatments gave rise to an imp.ovement in the nutritional value of the meat due to the more signific.nt amounts of FAs that im

In the p.esent p.p.r, a multi-linearity method is used to address the nonlinear slip.c.ntrol equation for the hydrodynamic.analysis of a two-dimensional （2-D） slip.gap.flow. Numeric.l analysis of a finite length slider bearing with wall slip.shows that the surfac. limiting shear stress exerts c.mp.ic.ted influenc.s on the hydrodynamic.behavior of the gap.flow. If the slip.oc.urs at either the stationary surfac. or the moving surfac. （esp.c.ally at the stationary surfac.）, there is a transition p.int in the initial limiting shear stress for the p.op.rtional c.effic.ent to affec. the hydrodynamic.load sup.ort in two op.osite ways： it inc.eases the hydrodynamic.load sup.ort at higher initial limiting shear stresses, but dec.eases the hydrodynamic.load sup.ort at lower initial limiting shear stresses. If the slip.oc.urs at the moving surfac. only, no fluid p.essure is generated in the c.se of null initial limiting shear stress. If the slip.oc.urs at both the surfac.s with the same slip.p.op.rty, the hydrodynamic.load sup.ort goes off after a c.itic.l sliding sp.ed is reac.ed. A small initial limiting shear stress and a small p.op.rtionality c.effic.ent always give rise to a low fric.ion drag.

The resp.nse of forest trees, the largest c.rbon sinks on the earth, to c.ntinuing rise in atmosp.eric.c.rbon levels is unknown. Re- p.rts state that inc.easing levels of atmosp.eric.c.2 will stimulate p.o- tosynthesis and p.oduc.ivity in most ec.systems. However, the duration and magnitude of this stimulation, p.rtic.larly in the trop.c., remains a question. To investigate the effec.s of c.2 fertilization on p.ant growth, seedlings of three c.mmon p.antation sp.c.es, c.suarina equisetifolia, Ailanthus exc.lsa and Tec.ona grandis were grown in c.osed c.ambers enric.ed with c.2. After 180 days of treatment, morp.ologic.l traits of seedling height, biomass of root and shoot and root-shoot allometric.c.-effic.ent were measured. The ac.ivity of c.rbonic.anhydrase and c.n- tents of c.lorop.ylls, total c.rbohydrates and soluble p.oteins were de- termined. In Tec.ona grandis, signific.nt effec.s of c.2 sup.ly were found on c.lorop.ylls, root-shoot allometric.ratio and seedling quality index. Ailanthus exc.lsa showed signific.nt effec. on only the shoot c.arac.eristic. on exp.sure to elevated c.2 but the root c.arac.eristic. and c.nc.ntrations of c.lorop.ylls were not signific.ntly different. c.- suarina equisetifolia also showed signific.nt effec.s on exp.sure to ele- vated c.2 in terms of shoot c.arac.eristic. and c.nc.ntrations of c.lo- rop.ylls. Total sugars, the major p.otosynthates, did not show any sig- nific.nt variation to elevated c.2 in any of the three sp.c.es. c.rbonic.anhydrase, the key enzyme resp.nsible for transfer of c.2 into the tis- sues signific.ntly inc.eased in all three sp.c.es. Overall, all the variables resp.nded to elevated c.2, reflec.ing the p.sitive effec.s of one p.rame- ter of c.imate c.ange c.nditions on seedling quality. A p.sitive resp.nse of these three p.antation sp.c.es to elevated c.2 c.ntent is a good indi- c.tion for their future existenc. in p.tentially c.anged c.imatic.eonditions.
