In this study,a two-step method was used to synthesize highly luminescent AgGaS/ZnS/ZnS quantum dots(QDs).In the first step,an inner ZnS shell was formed via a one-pot method,which resulted in a smaller lattice mismatch between the AgGaS core and the outer ZnS shell,thereby facilitating the formation of a thick outer *** the two-step shelling process,the synthesized AgGaS/ZnS/ZnS QDs showed an excellent photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQy)of 96.4%with a peak wavelength of 508 nm,repre-senting the highest PLQy reported thus far for AgGaS ***,the effect of halogen ions in Zn precursors on the shelling process was *** was proposed that the capacity of halogen ions to coordinate with the QDs influenced the balance between Zn cation diffusion and ZnS shelling ***,the ZnS shelling reaction was dominant when Zncl_(2)was employed,while Zn cation diffusion was the dominant process under the I^(−)-rich *** work provides insights into the interfacial restructuring during the ZnS shelling and offers a clear map for the tailored synthesis of core/shell QDs.

Multifield coupling is frequently encountered and also an active area of research in geotechnical *** this work,a particle-resolved direct numerical simulation(PR-DNS)technique is extended to simulate particle-fluid interaction problems involving heat transfer at the grain *** this extended technique,an immersed moving boundary(IMB)scheme is used to couple the discrete element method(DEM)and lattice Boltzmann method(LBM),while a recently proposed Dirichlet-type thermal boundary condition is also adapted to account for heat transfer between fluid phase and solid *** resulting DEM-IBM-LBM model is robust to simulate moving curved boundaries with constant temperature in thermal *** facilitate the understanding and implementation of this coupled model for non-isothermal problems,a complete list is given for the conversion of relevant physical variables to lattice ***,benchmark tests,including a single-particle sedimentation and a two-particle drafting-kissing-tumbling(DKT)simulation with heat transfer,are carried out to validate the accuracy of our coupled *** further investigate the role of heat transfer in particle-laden flows,two multiple-particle problems with heat transfer are *** examples demonstrate that the proposed coupling model is a promising high-resolution approach for simulating the heat-particle-fluid coupling at the grain level.

The metal cutting process is accompanied by complex stress field,strain field,temperature *** comprehensive effects of process parameters on chip morphology,cutting force,tool wear and residual stress are complex and *** element method(FEM)is considered as an effective method to predict process variables and reveal microscopic physical phenomena in the cutting ***,the finite element(FE)simulation is used to research the conventional and micro scale cutting process,and the differences in the establishment of process variable FE simulation models are distinguished,thereby improving the accuracy of FE *** reliability and effectiveness of FE simulation model largely depend on the accuracy of the simulation method,constitutive model,friction model,damage model in describing mesh element,the dynamic mechanical behavior of materials,the tool-chip-workpiece contact process and the chip formation *** this paper,the FE models of conventional and micro process variables are comprehensively and up-to-date reviewed for different materials and machining *** purpose is to establish a FE model that is more in line with the real cutting conditions,and to provide the possibility for optimizing the cutting process *** development direction of FE simulation of metal cutting process is discussed,which provides guidance for future cutting process modeling.

This paper proposes a new method for service restoration of distribution network with the support of transportable power sources(TPSs)and repair crews(Rcs).Firstly,a coupling model of distribution networks and vehicle routing of TPSs and Rcs is proposed,where the TPSs serve as emergency power supply sources,and the Rcs are used to repair the faulted *** the uncertainty of traffic congestion,the probability distribution of the travel time spent on each road is derived based on the Nesterov user equilibrium model,and a two-stage stochastic program is formulated to determine the optimal routings of TPSs and *** efficiently solve the proposed stochastic mixed-integer linear program(MILP),a two-phase scenario reduction method is then developed to scale down the problem size,and an adaptive progressive hedging algorithm is used for an efficient *** effectiveness of the proposed methods and algorithms has been illustrated in a modified IEEE 33-bus system.

coral-like structures of the y_(3-x)Pr_(x)Fe_(5-y)yb_(y)O_(12),(0.00 ≤ x ≤ 0.04, 0.00 ≤ y ≤ 0.02) compound were synthesized using the sol-gel method. Structural investigation certified the yIG cubic crystal structure formation, without any secondary phase. It is shown that, the relatively large ionic radius of the dopant cations results in an expansion of the lattice parameter, variations in the Iona-O-Iondangle, Iona-O,Iond-O and Ionc-O bond distances and decrease in the average crystallite size. Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) and Raman measurements are essential to testify the single-phase formation of yIG crystal structure and are observed changes in the stretching and vibrational modes, respectively. The morphological study, energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS) spectra and textural properties show corallike structures, peaks associated with Pr^(3+) and yb^(3+) atoms and the effect of dopants on surface area,diameter, and pore volume, respectively. The optical analysis from diffuse reflectance spectra witnessed an increase in the optical gap band, a decrease in Urbach energy and blue shift in the charge transfer,correlated with the expansion of the unit cell due to the dopant's insertion in the yIG structure. A typical ferrimagnetic behavior is exhibited by the y_(3-x)Pr_(x)Fe_(5-y)yb_(y)O_(12)compound. The saturation magnetization(M_(s)), cubic anisotropy constant(K_(1)) and coercive field(H_(c)) increase with the Pr^(3+)cations content, as consequence of their magnetic nature and distribution around of Fe^(3+)ions due to the coexistence with the yb^(3+). Finally, for the first time, antibacterial tests by mean of the direct contact method were performed for yIG co-doped with Pr^(3+)and yb^(3+)and it is shown that, relatively high dosages of Pr^(3+) cations favored the activity against S. aureus, therefore, a new biological property for yIG doped with rare earths is presented.

cirrhosis is often characterized by decreased liver function,ranging from a compensated,typically asymptomatic phase to a decompensated phase characterized by the appearance of ascites or variceal bleeding,and ultimately hepatorenal syndrome(HRS)or hepatopulmonary syndrome(HPS).The latter two complications are associated with a poor prognosis and limited treatment *** cases of ascites or variceal bleeding resistant to medical therapy,transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt(TIPS)is effective and *** blood by TIPS diverts portal blood to the systemic circulation,potentially increasing systemic blood volume and benefiting renal ***,TIPS could also divert nitric oxide to the systemic circulation,potentially worsening systemic hypotension and perfusion,which could be detrimental to renal *** evidence indicates that TIPS often improves renal function in patients with portal hypertension,with or without *** studies have shown persistently decreased renal function after ***,these data are insufficient to support a recommendation for the use of TIPS specifically for *** patients without pre-existing HPS,TIPS does not appear to significantly affect pulmonary gas *** of TIPS in HPS have been inconsistent;some studies have shown improvement,but effects were *** studies have shown a persistent decline in pulmonary function after *** evidence supports the need for large randomized controlled trials to investigate the beneficial effects of TIPS for *** pulmonary function data are less clear regarding TIPS for *** aim of the current report was to review the literature regarding the effects of TIPS on renal and pulmonary function in hepatic decompensation,with or without the development of HRS or HPS.

The integration of battery energy storage systems(BESS)throughout our energy chain poses concerns regarding safety,especially since batteries have high energy density and numerous BESS failure events have *** spread adoption will only increase the prevalence of these failure events unless there is a step change in the management and design of *** understand the causes of failure,the main challenges of BESS safety are *** consequences and failure events are discussed,including specific focus on the chain of events causing thermal runaway,and a case study of a BESS explosion in Surprise Arizona is *** on the technology and past events,a paradigm shift is required to improve BESS *** this review,a holistic approach is *** combines currently adopted approaches including battery cell testing,lumped cell mathematical modelling,and calorimetry,alongside additional measures taken to ensure BESS safety including the requirement for computational fluid dynamics and kinetic modelling,assessment of installation level testing of the full BESS system and not simply a single cell battery test,hazard and layers of protection analysis,gas chromatography,and composition *** holistic approach proposed in this study aims to address challenges of BESS safety and form the basis of a paradigm shift in the safety management and design of these systems.

Magnetosonic waves are an important medium for energy transfer in collisionless space *** waves have been widely investigated in the upstream of the bow shock at *** waves are believed to originate from pickup ions or reflected *** utilizing MAVEN spacecraft data,we have observed the occurrence of quasi-perpendicularly propagating magnetosonic emissions near the proton gyrofrequency in the Martian magnetotail *** plasma waves are associated with a significant enhancement of proton and oxygen *** excited magnetosonic waves could possibly heat the protons through resonance and facilitate the ionospheric plasma *** results could be helpful to better understand the Mars’magnetospheric dynamics and offer insights into possible energy redistribution between waves and plasma in the Martian nightside magnetosphere.

In this study,we conducted a search for dark matter using a part of the data recorded by the cMS experiment during run-I of the LHc in 2012 with a center of mass energy of 8 TeV and an integrated luminosity of 11.6 fb−*** data were gathered from the cMS open *** matter,in the framework of the simplified model(mono-Z′),can be produced from proton-proton collisions in association with a new hypothetical gauge boson,Z′.Thus,the search was conducted in the dimuon plus large missing transverse momentum *** benchmark scenario of mono-Z′,which is known as light vector,was used for interpreting the cMS open *** evidence of dark matter was observed,and exclusion limits were set on the masses of dark matter and Z′at 95%confidence level.
