A simple and distinguished nebulizer approach to prepare cdS thin films

In this paper, we report the substrate temperature induced change in structural, optical, morphological,luminescence and photoelectrochemical properties of cdS films deposited by a simple and facile approach called nebulized spray pyrolysis technique. X-ray diffraction study confirmed the deposited cdS films belong to hexagonal wurtzite structure, with preferential orientation along c-axis,(002) direction perpendicular to the substrate plane. The crack free, uniform, and homogeneously distributed spherical particles are witnessed from AFM image. Various optical parameters like energy band gap, optical conductivity,refractive index, extinction coefficient, dielectric constants, and dispersion energy parameters of the films were evaluated. The strong band edge emission observed in the PL study may be attributed to the recombination of excitations and/or shallowly trapped electron-hole pairs. The first and second overtone of LO modes of cdS at 302 and 600 cm-1are observed in the Raman study. The photoelectrochemical properties of the films were also tested.

Influence of europium doping on conductivity of LiNiPO_4

Europium doped LiNiPO4 and undoped LiNiPO4 were prepared by Pechini method. compound formation temperature was confirmed from thermogravimetry and differential thermal analysis （TG/DTA）. Powder X-ray diffraction （XRD） pattern confirmed the formation of pure LiNiPO4 compound with an orthorhombic structure. The conductivity and modulus analyses of the samples were carried out at different temperatures and frequencies using the complex impedance spectroscopy technique. The conductivity parameters such as ion hopping frequency and the charge cartier concentration term were calculated using Almond and West formalisms. An increase of one order of magnitude in the ionic conductivity has been observed for 1.0% Eu-doped LiNiPO4. （mole fraction）. The complex modulus studies suggest the presence of non-Debye type of relaxation in the materials.

Spectro-Structural characterization of chalcogenide Films containing cd, Te and Se

chalcogenide films find many applications in electronics as memory device, laser writer & xerography. To tailor the property to the requirement, various compositions of cd, Te and Se have been deposited and characterized optically. Films have been deposited by thermal evaporation as well as by electron beam evaporation. Thermal analysis such as TGA, DTA and DSc has been carried out before deposition to ensure the composition. Dependence of Eg on the composition has been justified from (T% data) Transmittance measurements. Drastic changes in optical property due to annealing in the range 200°c to 400°c have been investigated.

Morphology and Optical Measurements of Nanostructured In2O3:SnO2Nanoparticle

Ultra-fine and uniform ITO nanopowders can be prepared by very simple combustion method. In this paper, effects of Indium oxide with Sn doping on crystallinity, band gap values by UV studies and morphological studies by SEM and TEM analysis of nanopowders are reported. Powder mixtures of In2O3:SnO2 of 90:10 compositions are prepared and calculated grain size from X-ray diffraction measurements. The free electron absorption is determined from spectral transmission and reflection measurements. Key words: In2O3:SnO2, XRD, UV, combustion and SEM.
