Development of a stable attenuated double-mutant of tobacco mosaic virus for cross-protection

Tobacco(Nicotiana tabacum)and tomato(solanum lycopersicum)are two major economic crops in *** mosaic virus(TMV;genus Tobamovirus)is the most prevalent virus infecting both ***,some widely cultivated tobacco and tomato cultivars are susceptible to TMV and there is no effective strategy to control this ***-protection can be a safe and environmentally friendly strategy to prevent viral ***,stable attenuated TMV mutants are *** this study,we found that the substitutions in the replic.s. p126,arginine at position 196(R^(196))with aspartic acid(D),glutamic acid at position 614(E^(614))with glycine(G),serine at position 643(s^(643))with phenylalanine(F),or D at position 730(D^(730))with s,significantly reduced the virulence and replication of ***,only the mutation of s^(643) to F reduced the RNA silencing suppression activity of TMV p126.A double-mutant TMV-E614G-s643F induced no visible symptom and was genetically stable through six succ.s.ive passages in tobacco ***,our results showed that TMV-E614G-s643F double-mutant could provide effective protection against the wild-type TMV infection in tobacco and tomato *** study reports a promising mild mutant for cross-protection to control TMV in tobacco and tomato plants.

Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glasses are promising materials for thermometers based on the fluorescence intensity ratio(FIR)***,at high Nd^(3+)concentrations,energy transfer(ET)proc.s.es such as optical reabsorption and cross-relaxation can affect the Nd^(3+)emission,which has been little explored in the ***,the present work investigated the use of Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glass(samples doped with Nd^(3+)at 0.2 mol%,0.5 mol%,2.0 mol%,and 4.0 mol%)in fluorescence thermometers,in the temperature range from 299 to 371 *** results indicate a strong dependence of the FIR parameters on the Nd^(3+)concentration,due to changes in the emission band profiles caused by optical reabsorption of the Nd^(3+)emissions and cross-relaxation proc.s.es.A decrease of the relative sensitivity of the ratio^(4)F_(5/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)/^(4)F_(3/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)is observed for samples doped with higher amounts of Nd^(3+).The maximum relative sensitivity at 299 K is 3.00%/K,which is the highest value among the reported Nd^(3+)ions.

We investigated ^(50,52-54)cr-induced fusion reactions for the synthesis of the superheavy element in the 104≤Z≤122 *** cross sections produced in this investigation using ^(54)cr projectiles were compared with those obtained in prior *** estimated cross sections from this analysis are consistent with the findings of prior *** the current study,the predicted cross section was found to be 42fb at 236 MeV for ^(53)cr+^(243)Am,23.2 fb at 236 MeV for ^(54)cr+^(247)cm,95.6 fb at 240 MeV for ^(53)cr+248Bk,and 1.33 fb at 242 MeV for ^(53)cr+***,these projected cross sections with excitation energy and beam energy will be useful in future cr-induced fusion reaction investigations.

BAcKGROUND:We aimed to observe the dynamic changes in gluc.s. metabolic reprogrammingrelated parameters and their ability to predict neurological prognosis and all-cause mortality in cardiac arrest patients after the restoration of spontaneous circulation(ROsc).METHODs:Adult cardiac arrest patients after ROsc who were admitted to the emergency or cardiac intensive care unit of the First Aflliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University from August 1,2017,to May 30,2021,were *** to 28-day survival,the patients were divided into a non-survival group(n=82) and a survival group(n=38).Healthy adult volunteers(n=40) of similar ages and sexes were selected as *** serum levels of gluc.s. metabolic reprogrammingrelated parameters(lactate dehydrogenase [LDH],lactate and pyruvate),neuron-specific enolase(NsE) and interleukin 6(IL-6) were measured on days 1,3,and 7 after *** Acute Physiology and chronic Health Evaluation II(APAcHE II) score and sequential Organ Failure Assessment(sOFA) score were *** cerebral Performance category(cPc) score was recorded on day 28 after ***:Following ROsc,the serum LDH(607.0 U/L vs.286.5 U/L),lactate(5.0 mmol/L vs.2.0 mmol/L),pyruvate(178.0 μmol/L vs.70.9 μmol/L),and lactate/pyruvate ratio(34.1 vs.22.1) significantly increased and were higher in the non-survivors than in the survivors on admission(all Pserum LDH,pyruvate,IL-6,APAcHE II score,and sOFA score on days 1,3 and 7 after ROsc were significantly associated with 28-day poor neurological prognosis and 28-day all-cause mortality(all Pserum LDH concentration on day 1 after ROsc had an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUc) of 0.904 [95% confidence interval [95% cI]:0.851–0.957]) with 96.8% specificity for predicting 28-day neurological prognosis and an AUc of 0.950(95% cI:0.911–0.989) with 94.7% specificity for predicting 28-day all-cause mortality,which was the highest among the gluc.s. metabo

staring-imaging satellite pointing estimation based on sequential IsAR images

Pointing estimation for spacecraft using Inverse synthetic Aperture Radar(IsAR)images plays a significant role in space situational awareness and ***,feature extraction and cross-range scaling of IsAR images create bottlenec.s.that limit performanc.s.of current estimation ***,the emergence of staring imaging satellites,characterized by complex kinematic behaviors,presents a novel challenge to this *** address these issues,this article proposes a pointing estimation method based on convolutional Neural Networks(cNNs)and a numerical optimization algorithm.A satellite’s main axis,which is extracted from IsAR images by a proposed semantic Axis Region Regression Net(sARRN),is chosen for investigation in this article due to its unique ***,considering the kinematic characteristic of the staring satellite,an IsAR imaging model is established to bridge the target pointing and the extracted *** on the imaging model,pointing estimation and cross-range scaling can be described as a maximum likelihood estimation problem,and an iterative optimization algorithm modified by using the strategy of random sampling-consistency check and weighted least squares is proposed to solve this ***,the pointing of targets and the cross-range scaling factors of IsAR images are *** experiments based on actual satellite orbital parameters verify the effectiveness of the proposed *** work can improve the performance of satellite reconnaissance warning,while accurate cross-range scaling can provide a basis for subsequent data proc.s.es such as 3D reconstruction and attitude estimation.

As a river with more than 3000 reservoirs in its watershed,the Yellow River has been affected by dams not only on the sediment load,but also on the water ***-sediment regulation scheme(WsRs),which has been carried out annually in the Yellow River since 2002,is a typical human activity affecting river water *** dissolved organic matter(cDOM)in river is susceptible to changes in ecological and environmental conditions as well as human ***,we report variations in dissolved organic carbon concentrations,compositions and sourc.s.of cDOM in time series samples in the lower Yellow River during *** addition,a parallel factor fluorescence analysis(PARAFAc)method is applied to identify different fluorescent components in water samples during WRsR,showing four major components including tryptophan-like component(c1),microbial humic-like component(c2),terrestrial humic-like component(c3)and tyrosine-like component(c4).In general,c1 increased after water regulation,while c2 and c3 increased after sediment regulation,indicating that the water and sediment released by the dam have different effec.s.on cDOM *** the impac.s.of the dam,source of cDOM in the lower Yellow River is mainly autochthonous related to microbial activities,and is regulated by the terrestrial input during WsRs *** resuspension inhibits microbial activities and reduc.s.the production of autochthonous ***,human activities especially WsRs,as exemplified here,significantly alter the quality and quantity of cDOM in the lower Yellow River,affecting cDOM dynamics and biogeochemical proc.s.es in the estuarine environment.
