Ni-rich layered oxide cathodes have shown promise for high-energy lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)but are usually limited to mild environments because of their rapid performance degradation under extreme temperature conditions(below0°c and above 50 °c).Here,we report the design of F/Mo co-doped LiNi_(0.8)co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)(FMNcM)cathode for high-performance LIBs from-20 to 60°c.F^(-) doping with high electronegativity into the cathode surface is found to enhance the stability of surface lattice structure and protect the interface from side reactions with the electrolyte by generating a LiF-rich surface ***,the Mo^(6+) doping suppresses phase transition,which blocks Li^(+)/Ni^(2+) mixing,and stabilizes lithium-ion diffusion ***,the FMNcM cathode demonstrates excellent cycling stability at a high cutoff voltage of 4.4 V,even at 60°c,maintaining 90.6%capacity retention at 3 c after 150 ***,at temperatures as low as-20°c,it retains 77.1%of its room temperature capacity,achieving an impressive 97.5%capacity retention after 500 *** stable operation under wide temperatures has been further validated in practical Ah-level *** study sheds light on both fundamental mechanisms and practical implications for the design of advanced cathode materials for wide-temperature LIBs,presenting a promising path towards high-energy and long-cycling LIBs with temperatureadaptability.

Lithiophilic coF_(2)@c hollow spheres towards spatial lithium deposition for stable lithium metal batteries

Lithium metal(LM)is a promising anode for next-generation batteries due to its high theoretical capacity and low electrode ***,side reactions,volume change,and unwanted lithium dendrite growth seriously limit the practical application of ***,with the aid of a hard template approach,a novel lithiophilic coF_(2)-carbon hollow sphere(coF_(2)@c-HS)composite material is successfully prepared via a facile in-situ fluorination and etching *** lithiophilic coF_(2) acts as nucleation sites to reduce nucleation overpotential as well as induces the spatial Li deposition and the formation of LiFrich solid electrolyte interphase(SEI),and the hollow carbon matrix can enhance the electrical conductivity and offer free space for LM *** simulations reveal that the synergistic effect of lithiophilic coF_(2) and hollow carbon matrix homogenizes the electric field distribution and Li~+*** from these advantages,the coF_(2)@c-HS-modified copper substrate electrode delivers an enhanced coulombic efficiency(cE)of 93.7%for 280 cycles at 1 mA cm^(-2)and 1 mA h cm^(-2).The symmetrical cell using coF_(2)@c-HS can stably cycle more than 1800 h with a low voltage hysteresis of 11 mV at a current density of 0.5 MA cm^(-2)and an areal capacity of 0.5 mA h cm^(-2).Moreover,the Li@coF_(2)@c-HS composite anode enables more than 300 stable cycles at 1 c with a capacity retention of 95%in LiFePO_(4)-based full cell and 110 stable cycles at 1 c in LiNi_(0.8)co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)(NcM811)-based highvoltage full *** work might shed a new light on designing lithiophilic hosts to spatially confine LM deposition,realizing dendrite-free LM anodes and the practical applications of LM batteries.

Discrete element method(DEM)is an effective approach for studying the screening process of flip-flow ***,there have been few studies focusing on the thick layer of sticky-wet particles on flip-flow *** achieve accurate simulations of the thick layer of sticky-wet particles on a flip-flow screen,firstly,the movement law of particle flow was studied,and a multi-regime combination cali-bration method based on characteristics of particle flow regimes was *** on the Plackett-Burman experiment,the curse of dimensionality caused by multi-state and multi-contact parameters was ***,the lifting cylinder,rotating drum,and trampoline tests were carried out to obtain macroscopic reference values under various granular flow *** calibration results were then determined using the response surface method and climbing ***,the calibration results were tested at both macroscopic and mesoscopic scales and compared with a commonly used calibration *** results demonstrate that the calibration method,which considers the multi-state characteristics,improves simulation accuracy by 2%-10%and reduces the simulation error to less than 10%,thus meeting the requirements for engineering optimization of flip-flow screens.

Parkinson’s disease is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by motor and gastrointestinal *** dysfunction can precede the onset of motor symptoms by several *** microbiota dysbiosis is involved in the pathogenesis of Parkinson’s disease,whether it plays a causal role in motor dysfunction,and the mechanism underlying this potential effect,remain ***/enhancer binding proteinβ/asparagine endopeptidase(c/EBPβ/AEP)signaling,activated by bacterial endotoxin,can promoteα-synuclein transcription,thereby contributing to Parkinson’s disease *** this study,we aimed to investigate the role of the gut microbiota in c/EBPβ/AEP signaling,α-synuclein-related pathology,and motor symptoms using a rotenone-induced mouse model of Parkinson’s disease combined with antibiotic-induced microbiome depletion and fecal microbiota *** found that rotenone administration resulted in gut microbiota dysbiosis and perturbation of the intestinal barrier,as well as activation of the c/EBP/AEP pathway,α-synuclein aggregation,and tyrosine hydroxylase-positive neuron loss in the substantia nigra in mice with motor ***,treatment with rotenone did not have any of these adverse effects in mice whose gut microbiota was depleted by pretreatment with ***,we found that transplanting gut microbiota derived from mice treated with rotenone induced motor deficits,intestinal inflammation,and *** of fecal microbiota from healthy control mice alleviated rotenone-induced motor deficits,intestinal inflammation,endotoxemia,and intestinal barrier *** results highlight the vital role that gut microbiota dysbiosis plays in inducing motor deficits,c/EBPβ/AEP signaling activation,andα-synuclein-related pathology in a rotenone-induced mouse model of Parkinson’s ***,our findings suggest that supplementing with healthy microbiota may be a safe and effective treatment that c

A Simplified Method for the Stress Analysis of Underground Transfer Structures crossing Multiple Subway Tunnels

According to the design specifications,the construction of extended piles involves traversing the tunnel’s upper region and extending to the underlying rock *** address this challenge,a subterranean transfer structure spanning multiple subway tunnels was *** on the function of piles in the transfer structure as springs with axial and bending stiffness,and taking into account the force balance and deformation coordination conditions of beams and plates within the transfer structure,we established a simplified mechanical model that incorporates soil stratification by combining it with the Winkler elastic foundation beam *** resolved established simplifiedmechanicalmodel employed finite difference technology and the Newton-Simpsonmethod,elucidating the mechanical mechanism of the transfer *** research findings suggest that the load carried by the upper structural columns can be transferred to the pile foundation beneath the beams through the transfer structure,subsequently reaching the deep soil layer and ensuring minimal impact on adjacent *** established simplified analysis method can be used for stress analysis of the transfer structure,concurrently considering soil stratification,pile foundation behavior,and plate *** pile length,pile section size,and beam section size within the transfer structure should account for the characteristics of the upper load,ensuring an even distribution of the beam bending moment.

Rescattering of stimulated Raman side scattering(SRSS)is observed for the first time via two-dimensional(2D)particle-in-cell(PIc)*** construct a theoretical model for the rescattering process,which can predict the region of occurrence of mth-order SRSS and estimate its *** rescattering process is identified by the 2D PIc simulations under typical conditions of a direct-drive inertial confinement fusion *** electrons produced by second-order SRSS propagate nearly perpendicular to the density gradient and gain nearly the same energy as in first-order SRSS,but there is no cascade acceleration to produce superhot *** studies for a wide range of ignition conditions show that SRSS and associated rescatterings are robust and important processes in inertial confinement fusion.

Stress relaxation properties of calcium silicate hydrate:a molecular dynamics study

The time-dependent viscoelastic response of cement-based materials to applied deformation is far from fully understood at the atomic *** silicate hydrate(c-S-H),the main hydration product of Portland cement,is responsible for the viscoelastic mechanism of cement-based *** this study,a molecular model of c-S-H was developed to explain the stress relaxation characteristics of c-S-H at different initial deformation states,ca/Si ratios,temperatures,and water contents,which cannot be accessed *** stress relaxation of c-S-H occurs regardless of whether it is subjected to initial shear,tensile,or compressive deformation,and shows a heterogeneous *** plays a crucial role in the stress relaxation process.A large ca/Si ratio and high temperature reduce the cohesion between the calcium-silicate layer and the interlayer region,and the viscosity of the interlayer region,thereby accelerating the stress relaxation of *** effect of the hydrogen bond network and the morphology of c-S-H on the evolution of the stress relaxation characteristics of c-S-H at different water contents was elucidated by nonaffine mean squared *** results shed light on the stress relaxation characteristics of c-S-H from a microscopic perspective,bridging the gap between the microscopic phenomena and the underlying atomic-level mechanisms.
