Potassium ions （k+） doped graphitic carbon nitride （g-c3N4） was prepared by a thermal etching method using potassium hydroxide （kOH） as an ion *** transform infrared spectroscopy （FTIR） and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS）results showed that the generation of the cyano group was detected while introducing k+.Under simulated sunlight irradiation,the sample with a k+doping amount of 10%showed the highest hydrogen peroxide （H2O2） generation rate of2,140.2μmol *** apparent quantum yield （AQY） at 400 nm and the solar-to-chemical conversion （Scc） are 4.35%and1.23%,respectively.k+acted as a bridge between g-c3N4layers,which enhanced charge transfer ***,the cyano group enhanced the adsorption capacity of protons （H+） and promoted the yield of *** catalyst exhibited excellent photocatalytic stability based on four-cycle *** addition,a mechanism study showed that superoxide radicals （·O2-）were the most important active species in the reaction *** production of H2O2was achieved through consecutive single-electron *** study deepens the understanding of the oxygen reduction reaction process and opens up a new venue for improving H2O2generation.

The origin and evolution of sponges have attracted interest, not only because they are among the most basal metazoans, but also because they act as important ecological engineers in the ocean. Previous research suggested that sponge groups diversified quickly during the cambrian Series 2, while Terreneuvian sponge fossils are conspicuously rare and poorly substantiated. Yet, an increasing number of sponge spicules have been reported from the Ediacaran-cambrian(E-c, ca.551–523 Ma) transitional carbonates/cherts worldwide, particularly in South china, which calls for updated discussions. Ocean oxygenation has been widely proposed to play a critical role in organismal evolution, but its relationship with sponges is unclear and falls into a “chicken-egg” dilemma. In this study, we summarize reported sponge spicule distributions from five E-c sections in South china to investigate the early evolutionary pattern of siliceous sponges. According to current stratigraphic correlation,monaxons first appear in the late Ediacaran in the intrashelf basin-slope area, and then potentially expand to the continental shelf and deep basin in the lower cambrian. In these sections, the abundance, size, and diversity of monaxons increase upwards,followed by the appearance of diaxons, triaxons and then polyactines. Despite the uncertain affinity of the sponge fossils, it is possible that siliceous hexactinellids evolved later than siliceous demosponges, given that the earliest spicule assemblages are exclusively composed of monaxons, which commonly form bundles comparable to modern demosponges. New geochemical data from the Sifangjing section, Guizhou Province and the yanziqiao section, Hunan Province, South china show that the appearance of sponges usually corresponds to anoxic environment. Several studies have shown that activation of unfolded protein response and endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress plays a crucial role in severe cerebral ischemia/reperfusion *** occurs within hours after cerebral ischemia,but the relationship between ER stress and autophagy remains *** this study,we established experimental models using oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation in Pc12 cells and primary neurons to simulate cerebral ischemia/reperfusion *** found that prolongation of oxygen-glucose deprivation activated the ER stress pathway protein kinase-like endoplasmic reticulum kinase(PERk)/eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 subunit alpha(e IF2α)-activating transcription factor 4(ATF4)-c/EBP homologous protein(cHOP),increased neuronal apoptosis,and induced ***,inhibition of ER stress using inhibitors or by si RNA knockdown of the PERk gene significantly attenuated excessive autophagy and neuronal apoptosis,indicating an interaction between autophagy and ER stress and suggesting PERk as an essential target for regulating *** autophagy with chloroquine exacerbated ER stress-induced apoptosis,indicating that normal levels of autophagy play a protective role in neuronal injury following cerebral ischemia/reperfusion *** from this study indicate that cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury can trigger neuronal ER stress and promote autophagy,and suggest that PERk is a possible target for inhibiting excessive autophagy in cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury.

cerebral edema caused by blood-brain barrier injury after intracerebral hemorrhage is an important factor leading to poor ***-induced pluripotent stem cell-derived neural stem cell exosomes(hiPSc-NSc-Exos)have shown potential for brain injury repair in central nervous system *** this study,we explored the impact of hiPSc-NSc-Exos on blood-brain barrier preservation and the underlying *** results indicated that intranasal delivery of hiPSc-NSc-Exos mitigated neurological deficits,enhanced blood-brain barrier integrity,and reduced leukocyte infiltration in a mouse model of intracerebral ***,hiPSc-NSc-Exos decreased immune cell infiltration,activated astrocytes,and decreased the secretion of inflammatory cytokines like monocyte chemoattractant protein-1,macrophage inflammatory protein-1α,and tumor necrosis factor-αpost-intracerebral hemorrhage,thereby improving the inflammatory *** sequencing indicated that hiPSc-NSc-Exo activated the PI3k/AkT signaling pathway in astrocytes and decreased monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 secretion,thereby improving blood-brain barrier *** with the PI3k/AkT inhibitor LY294002 or the monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 neutralizing agent c1142 abolished these *** summary,our findings suggest that hiPSc-NSc-Exos maintains blood-brain barrier integrity,in part by downregulating monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 secretion through activation of the PI3k/AkT signaling pathway in astrocytes.

This paper proposes a computational fluid dynamics(cFD)model,along with dimensionless quantitative assessment standard—air pollution residual time(APRT)for the evaluation of local haze-fog(HF)dispersion in a built environment.A low APRT value ensures good ventilation.A building group model that comprises high-rise business building,mid-rise office buildings,low-mid-rise residential buildings(at the center of the building group),a mid-rise recreational center,and a local road(open terrain),was scaled down(1:100)to simulate the HF dispersion *** orientation of the building group was numerically modified to generate a wind incidence normal to the high-rise building,mid-rise buildings,recreational center,and *** results showed that the orientation of the building group largely determines the *** most favorable orientation can reduce APRT by more than 50%.Our results strongly suggested that in order to reduce the consequential negative effect of air pollution,future urban designs should undergo a comprehensive ventilation assessment to ensure a low APRT value.

Developing highly efficient and cost-effective electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction（HER） is grandly challenging in alkaline and alkaline seawater electrolytes. Herein, the asymmetric interfacial active sites with Ru nanoparticles and Ni single atoms in Ru/Ni-N-c were designed through a solvothermal-pyrolysis process. constructing highly asymmetric interfacial active sites with a strong electron delocalization effect significantly improves HER kinetics. As expected, Ru/Ni-N-c requires low overpotentials with around 20 mV at 10 mA cm-2and robust durability over 48 h in alkaline and alkaline seawater *** at 200 mA cm-2, the overpotentials are close to 100 mV in both above electrolytes for Ru/Ni-N-c. Density function theory calculation results suggest that the asymmetric interface between Ru nanoparticle and Ni-N-c could accelerate the dissociation of water molecules and modulate the hydrogen species, consequently improving the HER performances. This work opens a unique approach for constructing advanced materials for energy conversion.

The precise building performance assessment of residential housings in subtropical regions is usually more difficult than that for the commercial premises due to the much more complicated behavior of the occupants with regard to the change in indoor *** conventional use of a fixed schedule for window opening,clothing insulation and cooling equipment operation cannot reflect the real situation when the occupants respond to the change in thermal comfort,thus affecting the appropriateness of the assessment *** rectify the situation,a new modeling strategy in which the modification of the various operation schedules was based on the calculated thermal comfort(Tc),was developed in this *** this new Tc-based strategy,the realistic building performances under different cooling provision scenarios applied to a high-rise residential building under the near extreme weather conditions were investigated and *** was found that sole provision of ventilation fans could not meet the zone thermal comfort by over 68%of the time,and air-conditioning was *** optimal use of ventilation fans for cooling could only help reduce the total cooling energy demand by less than 12%at best which could only be realistically evaluated by adopting the present *** studies were conducted which revealed that some design factors could offer opportunities for reducing the total cooling energy under the near extreme weather conditions.

Ovarian endometrioma（OE）, also known as “chocolate cysts,” is a cystic mass that develops in the ovaries due to endometriosis and is a common gynecological condition characterized by the growth of endometrial tissue outside the uterus, leading to symptoms such as dysmenorrhea, pelvic pain, and infertility. However, the precise molecular and cellular mechanisms driving this pathophysiology remain largely unknown, posing challenges for diagnosis and treatment. Here, we employed integrated single-cell transcriptomic profiling of over 52,000 individual cells from endometrial tissues of OE patients and healthy donors and identified twelve major cell populations. We identified notable alterations in cell type-specific proportions and molecular signatures associated with OE. Notably, the activation of IGFBP5+macrophages with pro-inflammatory properties, Nk cell exhaustion, and aberrant proliferation of IQcG+and kLF2+epithelium are key features and may be the potential mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of OE. collectively, our data contribute to a better understanding of OE at the single cell level and may pave the way for the development of novel therapeutic strategies.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the interaction between dispersed and elongated bubbles in horizontal slug flow utilizing the laser-induced fluorescence method. A Segmentation method based on the fuzzy c-mean (FcM) algorithm is proposed to effectively separate elongated bubbles from the liquid phase， and an extreme value extraction method is developed to calculate the number of dispersed bubbles in front of the nose of elongated bubbles. Moreover， the velocity offsets of elongated bubbles with and without dispersed bubbles are calculated separately based on contour extraction. In addition， the effect of dispersed bubbles on the fluctuating offsets of the nose tip position and velocity of elongated bubbles are statistically investigated under different flow velocities. The experimental results show that the increase of the gas-liquid flow velocity exacerbates the radial deviation of the nose tip and the fluctuation of axial velocity.

Titanium/Gold （Ti/Au） metals have been widely employed as ohmic metal contacts on n+Ga2O3,exhibiting the specific contact resistance （ρc） of 10-5-10-6Ω·cm2[1].But previous studies have revealed the presence of a defective Ga2O3layer and reactive Ti-Ga2O3layer at the annealed Ti/*** an interfacial layer can afect the performance of ohmic contact,which may become more pronounced in power devices subjected to electrical stress and high-frequency ***,there have been no reports on the impact of bias stress effects and dynamic degradation of Ti/Au ohmic contacts on n+Ga2O3.
