Preparation and Performance of Ternary Early Strength Agent and Quercetin composite cement Sealing Material

A ternary early-strengthening agent consisting of calcium formate+triethanolamine+lithium sulfate was compounded with quercetin to shorten the setting time of cementitious materials while ensuring their early *** optimum ratio of the three early-strengthening agents was determined as 0.5%calcium formate+0.04%triethanolamine+0.4%lithium sulfate by response surface *** effects of the ternary early-strengthening agent composed of calcium formate+triethanolamine(TEA)+lithium sulfate on cementitious pore sealing materials under the synergistic effect of quercetin were studied by means of the performance tests of compressive strength,fluidity,and setting time,and the microstructural characterizations of X-ray powder diffractometer(XRD),thermogravimetry(TG-DSc)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The study shows that the synergistic effect of ternary early-strengthening agent and quercetin forms a multi-performance composite admixture for cementitious *** best performance was obtained with the compounding scheme of 0.5%calcium formate+0.04%triethanolamine+0.4%lithium sulfate ternary early-strengthening agent and 0.05%*** compressive strength of 1,3,7,and 28 d are 94.8%,39.8%,42%,and 28%higher than those of the blank group,*** initial time and final setting time are 41 and 57 minutes,*** to the microscopic analysis,the network and fibrous c-S-H gels generated by ternary early-strengthening agents are attached to the surface promoted by quercetin,which forms skeleton support while thic.ening and solidifying the cement slurry,which enhances the early compressive strength of the cement-based materials.

Lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)have dominated the portable electronic and electrochemical energy markets since their commercialisation,whose high cost and lithium scarcity have prompted the development of other alkali-ion batteries(AIBs)including sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)and potassium-ion batteries(PIBs).Owing to larger ion sizes of Na^(+)and K^(+)compared with Li^(+),nanocomposites with excellent crystallinity orientation and well-developed porosity show unprecedented potential for advanced lithium/sodium/potassium *** enticing open rigid framework structures,Prussian blue analogues(PBAs)remain promising self-sacrificial templates for the preparation of various nanocomposites,whose appeal originates from the well-retained porous structures and exceptional electrochemical activities after thermal *** review focuses on the recent progress of PBA-derived nanocomposites from their fabrication,lithium/sodium/potassium storage mechanism,and applications in AIBs(LIBs,SIBs,and PIBs).To distinguish various PBA derivatives,the working mechanism and applications of PBA-templated metal oxides,metal chalcogenides,metal phosphides,and other nanocomposites are systematically evaluated,facilitating the establishment of a structure–activity correlation for these *** on the fruitful achievements of PBA-derived nanocomposites,perspectives for their future development are envisioned,aiming to narrow down the gap between laboratory study and industrial reality.

Refractory lipoatrophy treated with autologous whole blood injection:A case report

BAcKGROUND Intramuscular corticosteroid injection may cause adverse effects such as dermal and/or subcutaneous atrophy,alopecia,hypopigmentation,and *** cutaneous atrophy can spontaneously resolve,several treatment options have been suggested for this *** SUMMARY In this paper,we report a case of corticosteroid injection induced lipoatrophy treated with autologous whole blood(AWB)injection,as the condition had been unresponsive to fractional laser therapy.A 29-year-old female patient visited the dermatology clinic complaining of skin depression on her right buttock area,which had appeared six months *** had been only subtle improvement at the margins after fractional cO_(2) laser treatment;therefore,after obtaining informed consent from the patient,AWB treatment was *** month after the first AWB injection,the size and depth of the lesion had noticeably improved,and a slight improvement was also observed in *** close observation is the initial treatment of choice for steroid induced skin atrophy;however,for patients in need of immediate cosmetic improvement,AWB injection may be a safe and cost-effective alternative.

Status and prospects for symmetric organic redox flow batteries

As environmental concerns from fossil fuel consumption intensify, large-scale energy storage becomes imperative for the integration of renewable sources like wind, hydro, and solar with the electrical *** flow batteries, particularly those employing organic molecules, are positioned as a key technology for this purpose. This review explores the growing field of symmetric organic redox flow batteries(ORFBs) within this context. Unlike traditional asymmetric designs based on unique active materials for each electrode, symmetric ORFBs involve a single bipolar species for both electrodes. This review highlights the benefits of a symmetric design, and categorizes five distinct classes of organic bipolar molecules used in both aqueous and non-aqueous solvents. By providing a comprehensive overview of their cell cycling and performance characteristics, the strengths and weaknesses of the diverse categories of bipolar molecules are highlighted for both solvent systems, as are opportunities for future development. This should guide new research directions and advance the development of practical symmetric ORFBs.

A modified Rushton impeller with two circular covering-plates mounted on the upper and lower sides of the blades was *** are gaps between the plates and the *** turbulent hydrodynamics was analyzed by the computational fluid dynamics(cFD) ***,the reliability of the numerical model and simulation method was verified by comparing with the experimental results from ***,the power consumption,flow pattern,mean velocity and mixing time of the covering-plate Rushton impeller(RT-c) were studied and compared with the standard Rushton impeller(RT) operated under the same *** show that the power consumption can be decreased about 18%.compared with the almost unchanged flow field in the lower stirred tank,the mean velocity was increased at the upper half of the stirred *** in the impeller region,the mean axial and radial velocities were increased,the mean tangential velocity was *** addition,the average mixing time of RT-c was shortened about 4.14% than the counterpart of *** conclusions obtained here indicated that RT-c has a more effective mixing performance and it can be used as an alternative of RT in the process industries.

Dark Forest Algorithm:A Novel Metaheuristic Algorithm for Global Optimization Problems

Metaheuristic algorithms,as effective methods for solving optimization problems,have recently attracted considerable attention in sc.ence and engineering *** are popular and have broad applications owing to their high effic.ency and low *** algorithms are generally based on the behaviors observed in nature,physical sc.ences,or *** study proposes a novel metaheuristic algorithm called dark forest algorithm(DFA),which can yield improved optimization results for global optimization *** DFA,the population is divided into four groups:highest civilization,advanced civilization,normal civilization,and low *** civilization has a unique way of *** verify DFA’s capability,the performance of DFA on 35 well-known benchmark functions is compared with that of six other metaheuristic algorithms,including artificial bee colony algorithm,firefly algorithm,grey wolf optimizer,harmony search algorithm,grasshopper optimization algorithm,and whale optimization *** results show that DFA provides solutions with improved effic.ency for problems with low dimensions and outperforms most other algorithms when solving high dimensional *** applied to five engineering projects to demonstrate its *** results show that the performance of DFA is competitive to that of current well-known metaheuristic ***,potential upgrading routes for DFA are proposed as possible future developments.
