catalytic transfer hydrogenation(cTH)is a green and efficient pathway for selective hydrogenation of unsaturated aldehydes and ***,managing the abilities of solid catalysts to adsorb substrates and to convert them into desired products is a challenging ***,we report the synthesis of carbon coated LaFe_(0.92)Pd_(0.08)O_(3) composites(LFPO-8@c)for cTH of benzaldehyde(BzH)into benzyl alcohol(BzOH),using isopropanol(IPA)as hydrogen *** coating with carbon improves the ability to adsorb/transfer reactants from solution to active sites,and the doping of Pd2+at Fe3+site strengthens the ability of LaFeO_(3) to convert BzH into BzOH.A balanced point between them(i.e.,abilities to adsorb BzH and to convert BzH into BzOH)is obtained at LFPO-8@c,which exhibits a BzOH formation rate of 3.88 mmol·gcat^(-1)·h^(-1) at 180℃ for 3 h,which is 1.50 and 2.72 times faster than those of LFPO-8 and LaFeO_(3)@c.A reaction mechanism is proposed,in which the acidic sites(e.g.,Fe^(4+),oxygen vacancy)are used for the activation of c=O bond of BzH and O-H bond of IPA,and the basic sites(e.g.,lattice oxygen)for the activation ofα-H(O-H)bond of IPA.

Exclusive responsiveness to ultraviolet light (~3.2 eV) and high photogenerated charge recombination rate are the two primary drawbacks of pure TiO_(2). We combined N-doped graphene quantum dots (N-GQDs), morphology regulation, and heterojunction construction strategies to synthesize N-GQD/N-doped TiO_(2)/P-doped porous hollow g-c_(3)N_(4) nanotube (PcN) composite photocatalysts (denoted as G-TPcN). The optimal sample (G-TPcN doped with 0.1wt% N-GQD, denoted as 0.1% G-TPcN) exhibits significantly enhanced photoabsorption, which is attributed to the change in bandgap caused by elemental doping (P and N), the improved light-harvesting resulting from the tube structure, and the upconversion effect of N-GQDs. In addition, the internal charge separation and transfer capability of0.1% G-TPcN are dramatically boosted, and its carrier concentration is 3.7, 2.3, and 1.9 times that of N-TiO_(2), PcN, and N-TiO_(2)/PcN(TPcN-1), respectively. This phenomenon is attributed to the formation of Z-scheme heterojunction between N-TiO_(2) and PcNs, the excellent electron conduction ability of N-GQDs, and the short transfer distance caused by the porous nanotube structure. compared with those of N-TiO_(2), PcNs, and TPcN-1, the H2 production activity of 0.1%G-TPcN under visible light is enhanced by 12.4, 2.3, and 1.4times, respectively, and its ciprofloxacin (cIP) degradation rate is increased by 7.9, 5.7, and 2.9 times, respectively. The optimized performance benefits from excellent photoresponsiveness and improved carrier separation and migration efficiencies. Finally, the photocatalytic mechanism of 0.1% G-TPcN and five possible degradation pathways of cIP are proposed. This study clarifies the mechanism of multiple modification strategies to synergistically improve the photocatalytic performance of 0.1% G-TPcN and provides a potential strategy for rationally designing novel photocatalysts for environmental remediation and solar energy conversion.

With the aging population,intertrochanteric femur fracture in the elderly has become one of the most serious public health issues and a hot topic of research in trauma *** to the limitations of internal fixation techniques and the insufficient mechanical design of nails,the occurrence of complications delays patient recovery after surgical *** of a proximal femur bionic nail(PFBN)based on zhang’s N triangle theory provides triangular supporting fixation,which dramatically decreases the occurrence of complications and has been widely used for clinical treatment of unstable intertrochanteric femur fracture *** this work,we developed an equivalent biomechanical model to analyze improvement in bone remodeling of unstable intertrochanteric femur fracture through PFBN *** results show that compared with proximal femoral nail antirotation(PFNA)and InterTan,PFBN can dramatically decrease the maximum strain in the proximal *** on Frost’s mechanostat theory,the local mechanical environment in the proximal femur can be regulated into the medium overload region by using a PFBN,which may render the proximal femur in a state of physiological overload,favoring post-operative recovery of intertrochanteric femur fracture in the *** work shows that PFBN may constitute a panacea for unstable intertrochanteric femur fracture and provides insights into improving methods of internal fixation.

Objective:Bladder neck contracture and vesicourethral anastomotic stenosis are difficult to manage endoscopically,and open repair is associated with high rates of *** recent years,there have been increasing reports of robotic-assisted bladder neck reconstruction in the ***,existing studies are small,heterogeneous case *** objective of this study was to perform a systematic review of robotic-assisted bladder neck reconstruction to better evaluate patency and incontinence ***:We performed a systematic review of PubMed from first available date to May 2023 for all studies evaluating robotic-assisted reconstructive surgery of the bladder neck in adult *** in non-English,author replies,editorials,pediatric-based studies,and reviews were *** of interest were patency and incontinence rates,which were pooled when ***:After identifying 158 articles on initial search,we included only ten studies that fit all aforementioned criteria for robotic-assisted bladder neck *** were case series published from March 2018 to March 2022 ranging from six to 32 men,with the median follow-up of 5e23 months.A total of 119 patients were included in our analysis.A variety of etiologies and surgical techniques were *** rates ranged from 50%to 100%,and pooled patency was 80%(95/119).De novo incontinence rates ranged from 0%to 33%,and pooled incontinence was 17%(8/47).Our findings were limited by small sample sizes,relatively short follow-ups,and heterogeneity between studies.

Unveiling the protective role of biofilm formation on the photoaging of microplastics

In natural water, microplastics（MPs） inevitably undergo microbial colonization to form biofilm, while the effect of biofilm formation on the photoaging of MPs remains unknown. This study systematically investigated the photoaging behavior of disposable box-derived polypropylene（PPMPs） and polystyrene（PSMPs） mediated by formed biofilm in water. After incubating in Weihe water samples for 105 d, the biofilm was validated to form in PPMPs and PSMPs, with higher formation in PSMPs. In particular, biofilm formation inhibited the photoaging of PPMPs and PSMPs, with an 11.1% and 50.6% decrease in photooxidation compared to their virgin counterparts after 20 d of ultraviolet（UV） irradiation. Moreover, the photoaging route of MPs such as the reaction priority of functional groups（e.g., c–H, c=O, and benzene ring） was altered, indicating the important role of biofilm formation in the photoaging process of MPs. The protective effect of the biofilm was mainly caused by the role of optical light filters that absorbed UV energy by sacrificing themselves. Also, as the main attacker on MPs, the production of reactive oxygen species（ROS, mainly1O2and ·OH） was inhibited by biofilm, which was mainly responsible for the decreased photoaging of MPs. This study revealed the important role of biofilm in the photoaging process of MPs and suggested a higher resistance of（micro）plastics in natural water than that in the laboratory using pure MPs, which contributed to a deeper understanding of the environmental fate and pollution of MPs.

In this paper,new light curves(Lcs) of contact eclipsing binary(cEB) systems LX Lyn and V0853 Aur are presented and analyzed by using the 2015 version of the Wilson-Devinney(W-D) *** order to explain their asymmetric Lcs,cool starspots on the components were *** is suggested that their fill-out degrees are f=12.0%(LX Lyn) and f=26.3%(V0853 Aur).At the same time,we found that LX Lyn is a W-type eclipsing binary(EB) with an orbital inclination of i=84°.88 and a mass ratio of q=2.31.V0853 Aur is also a W-type cEB with a mass ratio of q=2.77 and an orbital inclination of i= 79°.*** on all available times of light minimum,their orbital period changes are studied by using the O-c *** O-c diagram of LX Lyn reveals a cyclic oscillation with a period of about 14.84 yr and an amplitude of 0.0019 days,which can be explained by the light-travel time effect(LTTE) due to the presence of a third body with a minimum mass of0.06M_⊙.For V0853 Aur,it is discovered that the O-c diagram of the system also shows a cyclic oscillation with a period of 9.64 yr and an amplitude of 0.03365 *** cyclic oscillation of V0853 Aur can be attributed to the LTTE by means of a third body with a mass no less than 3.77M_⊙.The third body may play an important role in the formation and evolution of these systems.
