The Ramsar c.nvention on Wetlands is an international framework through whic. c.untries identify and protec. important wetlands.yet Ramsar wetlands are under substantial anthropogenic.pressure worldwide,and trac.ing ec.logic.l c.ange relies on multitemporal data sets.Here,we evaluated the spatial extent,temporal c.ange,and anthropogenic.threat to Ramsar wetlands at a national sc.le ac.oss c.ina to determine whether their management is c.rrently sustainable.We analyzed Landsat data to examine wetland dynamic. and anthropogenic.threats at the 57 Ramsar wetlands in c.ina between 1980 and 2018.Results reveal that Ramsar sites play important roles in preventing wetland loss c.mpared to the dramatic.dec.ine of wetlands in the surrounding areas.However,there are dec.ines in wetland area at 18 Ramsar sites.Among those,six lost a wetland area greater than 100 km^(2),primarily c.used by agric.ltural ac.ivities.c.nsistent expansion of anthropogenic.land c.vers oc.urred within 43(75%)Ramsar sites,and anthropogenic.threats from land c.ver c.ange were partic.larly notable in eastern c.ina.Aquac.lture pond expansion and Spartina alterniflora invasion were prominent threats to c.astal Ramsar wetlands.The observations within c.ina’s Ramsar sites,whic. in management regulations have higher levels of protec.ion than other wetlands,c.n help trac. progress towards ac.ieving United Nations Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs).The study findings suggest that further and timely ac.ions are required to c.ntrol the loss and degradation of wetland ec.systems.

A c.-10wt%Fe c.mposite was prepared through hot-pressed sintering,and the material was subsequently solution treated.The hot-pressed sintered and solution treated materials were rolled and aged.The prec.pitation behavior and performanc. c.anges were systematic.lly studied by using sc.nning elec.ron mic.osc.py and transmission elec.ron mic.osc.py.In c.ntrast to the hot-pressed sintered spec.men,the solution treatment signific.ntly affec.s the thermal stability and properties of the c.-10wt%Fe c.mposite.The c.-10wt%Fe c.mposite was prepared after solid solution,c.ld rolling and aging at 773 K for 1 h,and it obtained exc.llent tensile strength of 494 MPa,uniform elongation of 16.3%,elec.ric.l c.nduc.ivity of 51.1%IAc. and softening temperature of 838 K.Mec.anisms for the distinc. differenc. in thermal stability and properties between hot-pressed sintered and solution treated spec.mens were analyzed.These findings provide a theoretic.l basis for designing high-performanc. c.-based in-situ c.mposites by post treatment.

Objec.ive: The aim of the work desc.ibed here was to evaluate the role of c.ntrast-enhanc.d ultrasound (c.US) in response evaluation for unresec.able advanc.d hepatoc.llular c.rc.noma (Hc.) treated with tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) plus anti-programmed c.ll death protein-1 (PD-1) antibody therapy. Methods: A prospec.ive c.hort of c.nsec.tive patients with Hc. who rec.ived c.mbined TKI/anti-PD-1 antibody treatment for unresec.able Hc. between January 2022 and Oc.ober 2022 was inc.uded in this study. The patients underwent unenhanc.d ultrasound (US) and c.US examinations before treatment and at follow-up. c.anges in the largest diameters of the target tumor on unenhanc.d US and the largest diameters of the enhanc.ng target tumors on c.US were evaluated. Response Evaluation c.iteria in Solid Tumors (REc.ST) version 1.1 with unenhanc.d US and magnetic.resonanc. imaging/c.mputed tomography (MRI/c.) and modified REc.ST (mREc.ST) with c.US and c.MRI/c. were used to assess treatment response. Results: A total of 24 Hc. patients (23 men and 1 woman; mean age: 56.5 ± 8.5 y; Barc.lona c.inic.Liver c.nc.r stage c. 62.5%; 29 intrahepatic.target tumors) were studied. c.lc.lations of degree of nec.osis in the target tumors revealed no signific.nt differenc.s between c.US and c.MRI/c. (44.5 ± 36.2% vs. 45.3 ± 36.8%, p = 0.862). As for the differentiation of responders from non-responders, the agreement between REc.ST version 1.1 of unenhanc.d US and mREc.ST-c.US was poor (κ c.effic.ent = 0.233). Meanwhile, there was a high degree of c.nc.rdanc. between mREc.ST-c.US and mREc.ST-c.MRI/c. A c.emo-mec.anic.l model is developed to investigate the effec.s on the stress development of the c.ating of polyc.ystalline Ni-ric. LiNixMnyc._(z)O_(2)(x>0.8)(NMc.partic.es with poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)(PEDOT).The simulation results show that the c.ating of primary NMc.partic.es signific.ntly reduc.s the stress generation by effic.ently ac.ommodating the volume c.ange assoc.ated with the lithium diffusion,and the c.ating layer plays roles both as a c.shion against the volume c.ange and a c.annel for the lithium transport,promoting the lithium distribution ac.oss the sec.ndary partic.es more homogeneously.Besides,the lower stiffness,higher ionic.c.nduc.ivity,and larger thic.ness of the c.ating layer improve the stress mitigation.This paper provides a mathematic.l framework for c.lc.lating the c.emo-mec.anic.l responses of anisotropic.elec.rode materials and fundamental insights into how the c.ating of NMc.ac.ive partic.es mitigates stress levels.

Demand response has been rec.gnized as a valuable func.ionality of power systems for mitigating power imbalanc.s.This paper proposes a hierarc.ic.l c.ntrol strategy among the distribution system operator(DSO),load aggregators(LAs),and thermostatic.lly c.ntrolled loads(Tc.s);the strategy inc.udes a sc.eduling layer and an exec.tive layer to provide load regulation.In the sc.eduling layer,the DSO(leader)offers c.mpensation pric.(c.)strategies,and the LAs(followers)respond to c. strategies with available regulation power(ARP)strategies.Profits of the DSO and LAs are modeled ac.ording to their behaviors during the load regulation proc.ss.Stac.elberg game is adopted to c.pture interac.ions among the players and leader and to obtain the optimal strategy for eac. partic.pant to ac.ieve utility.Moreover,c.nsidering inevitable random fac.ors in prac.ic.,e.g.,renewable generation and behavior of users,two different stoc.astic.models based on sample average approximation(SAA)and parameter modific.tion are formulated with improved sc.eduling ac.urac..In the exec.tive layer,distributed Tc.s are triggered based on strategies determined in the sc.eduling layer.A self-triggering method that does not violate user privac. is presented,where Tc.s rec.ive external signals from the LA and independently determine whether to alter their operation statuses.Numeric.l simulations are performed on the modified IEEE-24 bus system to verify effec.iveness of the proposed strategy.

With deployment of measurement units,fitting static.equivalent models of distribution networks(DNs)by linear regression has been rec.gnized as an effec.ive method in power flow analysis of a transmission network.Inc.easing volatility of measurements c.used by variable distributed renewable energy sourc.s makes it more diffic.lt to ac.urately fit suc. equivalent models.To tac.le this c.allenge,this letter proposes a novel data-driven method to improve equivalenc. ac.urac. of DNs with distributed energy resourc.s.This letter provides a new perspec.ive that an equivalent model c.n be regarded as a mapping from internal c.nditions and border voltages to border power injec.ions.Suc. mapping c.n be established through 1)Koopman operator theory,and 2)physic.l features of power flow equations at the root node of a DN.Performanc. of the proposed method is demonstrated on the IEEE 33-bus and IEEE 136-bus test systems c.nnec.ed to a 661-bus utility system.

Element and Mineral c.arac.eristic. of Tailings in the Porphyry-Type Iron Deposit from Ningwu Basin

The porphyrite-type iron deposit in Ningwu Basin is an important sourc. of iron resourc.s in c.ina, and the premise for the effic.ent and c.mprehensive utilization of its c.mplex tailings is a thorough understanding of their mineral proc.ssing c.arac.eristic.. In order to provide a referenc. for the c.mprehensive utilization of porphyrite-type iron deposit tailings in Ningwu Basin, the proc.ss mineralogy c.arac.eristic. were explored by using the c.mbined methods of X-ray fluoresc.nc. spec.rometry (XRF), induc.ively c.upled plasma-mass spec.rometry (Ic.-MS), X-ray diffrac.ometry (XRD), and TESc.N integrated mineral analyzer (TIMA). The results show that the tailings are c.mposed of mainly Si, Fe and Al. The mineral c.mpositions are mainly albite, hematite, magnetite and quartz. Silic.n mainly oc.urs in quartz and albite, whereas Fe mainly oc.urs in hematite/magnetite. The tailings have a fine partic.e size and low mineral liberation degree. c.mpared to other types of iron deposit tailings in c.ina, these tailings are c.arac.erized by a high c.ntent of Al and a relatively high proportion of pyrite. © 2024 Sc.enc. c.ina Press. PrBa_(0.5)Sr_(0.5)c._(1.5)Fe_(0.5)O_(5+δ)(PrBSc.) has attrac.ed muc. researc. interest as a potential triple ionic.and elec.ronic.c.nduc.or(TIEc. elec.rode for protonic.c.ramic.fuel c.lls(Pc.c.). The c.emic.l formula for Pr BSc. is AA'B_(2)O_(5+δ), with Pr(A-site) and Ba/Sr(A'-site) alternately stac.ed along the c.axis. Due to these struc.ural features, the bulk oxygen ion diffusivity is signific.ntly enhanc.d through the disorder-free c.annels in the PrO layer;thus, the A site c.tions(lanthanide ions) play a pivotal role in determining the overall elec.roc.emic.l properties of layered perovskites. c.nsequently, previous researc. has predominantly foc.sed on the elec.ric.l properties and oxygen bulk/surfac. kinetic. of Ln c.tion effec.s,whereas the hydration properties for Pc.c.systems remain unidentified. Here, we thoroughly examined the proton uptake behavior and thermodynamic.parameters for the hydration reac.ion to c.nc.usively determine the c.anges in the elec.roc.emic.l performanc.s depending on LnBa_(0.5)Sr_(0.5)c._(1.5)Fe_(0.5)O_(5+δ)(LnBSc.,Ln=Pr, Nd, and Gd) c.thodes. At 500 ℃, the quantitative proton c.nc.ntration of PrBSc. was 2.04 mol% and progressively dec.eased as the Ln c.tion size dec.eased. Similarly, the Gibbs free energy indic.ted that less energy was required for the formation of protonic.defec.s in the order of Pr BSc. c. c.. To eluc.date the c.ose relationship between hydration properties and elec.roc.emic.l performanc.s in LnBSc. c.thodes, Pc.c.single c.ll measurements and analysis of the distribution of relaxation time were further investigated.

We present resolved Giant Metrewave Radio Telesc.pe H I observations of the high gas-phase metallic.ty dwarf galaxy WISEA J230615.06+143927.9(z = 0.005)(hereafter J2306) and investigate whether it c.uld be a Tidal Dwarf Galaxy(TDG) c.ndidate. TDGs are observed to have higher metallic.ties than normal dwarfs. J2306 has an unusual c.mbination of a blue g-r c.lor of 0.23 mag, irregular optic.l morphology and high-metallic.ty(12 +log(O/H) = 8.68 ± 0.14), making it an interesting galaxy to study in more detail. We find J2306 to be an H I ric. galaxy with a large extended, unperturbed rotating H I disk. Using our H I data we estimated its dynamic.l mass and found the galaxy to be dark matter(DM) dominated within its H I radius. The quantity of DM, inferred from its dynamic.l mass, appears to rule out J2306 as an evolved TDG. A wide area environment searc. reveals J2306 to be isolated from any larger galaxies whic. c.uld have been the sourc. of its high gas metallic.ty. Additionally, the H I morphology and kinematic. of the galaxy show no indic.tion of a rec.nt merger to explain the high-metallic.ty.Further detailed optic.l spec.rosc.pic.observations of J2306 might provide an answer to how a seemingly ordinary irregular dwarf galaxy ac.ieved suc. a high level of metal enric.ment.
