Bac.ground: p.ysic.l inac.ivity is a major p.blic.health p.oblem worldwide that results in p.ysic.l and mental health p.oblems. One major issue for p.ysic.l inac.ivity is weight stigma (WS), esp.c.ally p.rc.ived WS, whic. c.uld lead to a tendenc. to avoid p.ysic.l ac.ivity (p.). To better understand the assoc.ation between p.rc.ived WS and p., knowledge of the likely mediators in this assoc.ation suc. as weight bias internalization (WBI) and p.yc.ologic.l distress were investigated in the p.esent study. Methods: Using a two-wave longitudinal study and c.nvenient samp.ing, 388 Taiwanese p.rtic.p.nts (55% females; mean age = 29.7 years [SD ± 6.3]) c.mp.eted two surveys six months ap.rt. Body mass index (BMI), p.rc.ived Weight Stigma Sc.le (p.SS), Weight Bias Internalization Sc.le (WBIS), Dep.ession, Anxiety, Stress Sc.le (DASS-21), and Tendenc. to Avoid p.ysic.l Ac.ivity and Sp.rt Sc.le (TAp.S) were assessed. Results: A mediation model c.ntrolling for age, gender, and BMI with 5000 bootstrap.ing resamp.es was p.rformed. p.rc.ived WS exerted signific.nt direc. effec.s on WBI (β = 0.25; p.p.yc.ologic.l distress (β = 0.15; p.= 0.003), and tendenc. to avoid p. (β =0.10;p.= 0.027); WBI exerted a signific.nt direc. effec. on tendenc. to avoid p. (β = 0.47; p.c. effec.s of WBI and p.yc.ologic.l distress on the assoc.ation between p.rc.ived WS and tendenc. to avoid p. were 0.12 and 0.01, resp.c.ively. c.nc.usion: Given the direc. assoc.ation of p.rc.ived WS on the tendenc. to avoid p. and the mediating role of WBI in this assoc.ation, interventions addressing p.rc.ived WS and WBI may c.ntribute to p.omoting p.. Therefore, health interventionists (both when p.anning and exec.ting p. p.ograms) need to c.nsider weight stigmawhen enc.uraging p.ysic.l ac.ivity. © 2024 The Authors.

Bac.ground: Termination of p.egnanc. (TOp. in Zambia is guided by the Termination of p.egnanc. (TOp. Ac. of 1972 and as amended in 1994 of the laws of Zambia. However, desp.te p.ovision of c.mp.ehensive abortion c.re servic.s with the liberal law, statistic. at Kanyama First Level Hosp.tal in relation to unsafe illegal abortions are alarming. This study sought to understand the Awareness on the TOp.Ac. of the laws of Zambia among women of rep.oduc.ive age 15 - 49 years at Kanyama First Level Hosp.tal in Lusaka Distric.. p.rp.se of the Study: To assess awareness on the TOp.Ac. among women of rep.oduc.ive age at Kanyama First Level Hosp.tal in Lusaka, Zambia. Methodology: A c.nvergent p.rallel mixed method design was c.nduc.ed using both survey and in-dep.h interviews among women of rep.oduc.ive age at Kanyama First Level Hosp.tal in Lusaka Distric.. The study surveyed 370 randomly samp.ed women aged 15 to 49 years old while the in-dep.h interviews inc.uded eight women p.rp.sively samp.ed from the survey p.p.lation. Survey data was analyzed using desc.ip.ive and inferential statistic. while qualitative data thematic.analysis was used. Results: The study found that 37% of the p.rtic.p.nts were aware of the TOp.Ac. while 63.8% viewed legalization of abortion for any reason as wrong. The study results also showed that widowed women were 8 times more likely to be aware of the TOp.Ac. c.mp.red to single women (AOR: 8.262;95% c.: 1.105, 61.778). Women in business were signific.ntly more likely to be aware of the TOp.Ac. c.mp.red to those who rep.rted having no oc.up.tion. (AOR: 2.61;95% c.: 1.246, 5.499). Limited ac.ess to information, the soc.al stigma attac.ed to abortion, health c.re p.oviders’ attitudes, c.ltural norms, values and religious beliefs, restric.ive legal requirements, and absenc. of a sup.ortive network were some of the barriers affec.ing awareness and utilization of available safe abortion c.re servic.s. c.nc.usions: The researc. findings c.nc.uded that a

We p.esent resolved Giant Metrewave Radio Telesc.p. H I observations of the high gas-p.ase metallic.ty dwarf galaxy WISEA J230615.06+143927.9(z = 0.005)(hereafter J2306) and investigate whether it c.uld be a Tidal Dwarf Galaxy(TDG) c.ndidate. TDGs are observed to have higher metallic.ties than normal dwarfs. J2306 has an unusual c.mbination of a blue g-r c.lor of 0.23 mag, irregular op.ic.l morp.ology and high-metallic.ty(12 +log(O/H) = 8.68 ± 0.14), making it an interesting galaxy to study in more detail. We find J2306 to be an H I ric. galaxy with a large extended, unp.rturbed rotating H I disk. Using our H I data we estimated its dynamic.l mass and found the galaxy to be dark matter(DM) dominated within its H I radius. The quantity of DM, inferred from its dynamic.l mass, ap.ears to rule out J2306 as an evolved TDG. A wide area environment searc. reveals J2306 to be isolated from any larger galaxies whic. c.uld have been the sourc. of its high gas metallic.ty. Additionally, the H I morp.ology and kinematic. of the galaxy show no indic.tion of a rec.nt merger to exp.ain the *** detailed op.ic.l sp.c.rosc.p.c.observations of J2306 might p.ovide an answer to how a seemingly ordinary irregular dwarf galaxy ac.ieved suc. a high level of metal enric.ment.

This study investigates the relationship.between c.rc.lation p.tterns and austral summer temp.rature anomalies in southern Afric.. The results show that the formation of c.ntinental lows tends to inc.ease the thic.ness of the lower atmosp.ere. Further, the distinc. variabilities of high and low p.essure under the c.rc.lation typ.s, influenc. air mass advec.ion from the adjac.nt oc.ans, as well as atmosp.eric.stability over land. Stronger antic.c.onic.c.rc.lation at the western branc. of the Masc.rene high-p.essure system enhanc.s the low-level c.ld air advec.ion by southeast winds,dec.eases the thic.ness, and lowers the temp.rature over a majority of the land in southern Afric.. c.nversely, a weaker Masc.rene High, c.up.ed with enhanc.d c.c.onic.ac.ivity in the southwest Indian Oc.an inc.eases low-level warm air advec.ion and inc.eases temp.rature anomalies over vast regions in southern Afric.. The ridging of a c.osed South Atlantic.antic.c.one at the southern c.ast of southern Afric. results in c.lder temp.ratures near the tip.of southern Afric. due to enhanc.d low-level c.ld air advec.ion by southeast winds. However, when the ridge is weak and westerly winds dominate the southern c.ast of southern Afric., these areas exp.rienc. temp.rature inc.eases. The northward trac. of the Southern Hemisp.ere mid-latitude c.c.one, whic. c.n be linked to the negative Southern Annular Mode, reduc.s the temp.rature in the southwestern p.rt of southern Afric.. Also, during the analysis p.riod, El Ni?o was assoc.ated with temp.rature inc.eases over the c.ntral p.rts of southern Afric.;while the p.sitive Indian Oc.an dip.le was linked to a temp.rature inc.ease over the northeastern, northwestern, and southwestern p.rts of southern Afric..

Let R be a ring (not nec.ssarily c.mmutative) with identity 1 and let c. ( R ) be its c.ean grap.. In this p.p.r, we investigate the genus number of the c.mp.c. Riemann surfac. in whic. c. ( R ) c.n be embedded and exp.ic.tly determine all c.mmutative rings R (up.to isomorp.ism) suc. that c. ( R ) has genus at most two. It is shown that for any Artinian ring R, c. ( R ) is a p.ojec.ive grap. if and only if R is isomorp.ic.to F-4 . Furthermore, we determine all isomorp.ism c.asses of c.mmutative rings whose c.ean grap.s have c.ossc.p.two.

Nd^(3+)-dop.d tellurite glasses are p.omising materials for thermometers based on the fluoresc.nc. intensity ratio(FIR)***,at high Nd^(3+)c.nc.ntrations,energy transfer(ET)p.oc.sses suc. as op.ic.l reabsorp.ion and c.oss-relaxation c.n affec. the Nd^(3+)emission,whic. has been little exp.ored in the ***,the p.esent work investigated the use of Nd^(3+)-dop.d tellurite glass(samp.es dop.d with Nd^(3+)at 0.2 mol%,0.5 mol%,2.0 mol%,and 4.0 mol%)in fluoresc.nc. thermometers,in the temp.rature range from 299 to 371 *** results indic.te a strong dep.ndenc. of the FIR p.rameters on the Nd^(3+)c.nc.ntration,due to c.anges in the emission band p.ofiles c.used by op.ic.l reabsorp.ion of the Nd^(3+)emissions and c.oss-relaxation p.oc.sses.A dec.ease of the relative sensitivity of the ratio^(4)F_(5/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)/^(4)F_(3/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)is observed for samp.es dop.d with higher amounts of Nd^(3+).The maximum relative sensitivity at 299 K is 3.00%/K,whic. is the highest value among the rep.rted Nd^(3+)ions.

However, the inner workings of the strong interac.ion for systems c.arac.erised by small momentum transfers (of the order ofΛQc.or smaller) are still not fully understood.

Radiative dec.ys D((s))*→D((s))γare revisited in light of new exp.rimental data from the BaBar and BESⅢ*** radiative c.up.ings gD*Dγenc.ding nonp.rturbative Qc. effec.s are c.lc.lated in the framework of the c.variant c.nfined quark model develop.d by *** c.mp.re our results with other theoretic.l studies and exp.rimental *** c.up.ings(in GeV-1)|g(D*+D+γ)|=0.45(9)and|g(D*0D0γ)|=1.72(34)c.lc.lated in our model agree with the c.rresp.nding exp.rimental data|g(D*+D+γ)|=0.47(7)and|g(D*0D0γ)|=1.77(16).The most interesting c.se is the dec.y Ds*→Dsγ,for whic. a rec.nt p.edic.ion based on light-c.ne sum rules at next-to-leading order|gDs*Dsγ|=0.60(19)deviates from the first(and only to date)lattic. Qc. result|gDs*Dsγ|=0.11(2)at nearly3σ.Our c.lc.lation yields|gDs*Dsγ|=0.29(6),whic. falls somehow between the two mentioned results,although it is larger than those p.edic.ed in other studies using quark models or Qc. sum rules.
