The purpose of this study is to anal.ze variabil.ty in rainfal. threshol. for debris fl.w(c.itic.l.rainfal. for debris fl.w triggering) after the Ml.7.3 c.i-c.i earthquake in c.ntral.Taiwan in 1999. Two study sites with different geol.gic.l.c.nditions were surveyed in the earthquake area. Streambed surveys were c.nduc.ed to c.ntinuousl. monitor debris fl.ws between 1999 and 2006. During the 7-year study period,every debris fl.w event was identified,and the streambed c.arac.erized. Resul.s show that the rainfal. threshol. for debris fl.w was remarkabl. l.wer just after the c.i-c.i Earthquake,but gradual.y rec.vered. To date,this rainfal. threshol. is stil. l.wer than the original.l.vel.prior to the earthquake. This variabil.ty in rainfal. threshol. is c.osel. rel.ted to the amount of sediment material.in the initiation area of debris fl.w,whic. inc.eased rapidl. due to l.ndsl.des resul.ing from the earthquake. With the inc.ease in sediment material.the rainfal. threshol. was l.wered severel. during the first year fol.owing the c.i-c.i earthquake. However,heavy rainfal.s mobil.zed the sediment material.c.using debris fl.ws and transporting sediment downstream. With the dec.ease in sediment material.the rainfal. threshol. rec.vered gradual.y over time. Furthermore,debris fl.ws oc.urred onl. in the subbasins that had suffic.ent sediment material.to c.use signific.nt movement. Henc.,these resul.s c.nfirm that the sediment material.in the initiation area of debris fl.w is a c.uc.al.c.mponent of the rainfal. threshol. for debris fl.w.

Nd^(3+)-doped tel.urite gl.sses are promising material. for thermometers based on the fl.oresc.nc. intensity ratio(FIR)***,at high Nd^(3+)c.nc.ntrations,energy transfer(ET)proc.sses suc. as optic.l.reabsorption and c.oss-rel.xation c.n affec. the Nd^(3+)emission,whic. has been l.ttl. expl.red in the ***,the present work investigated the use of Nd^(3+)-doped tel.urite gl.ss(sampl.s doped with Nd^(3+)at 0.2 mol.,0.5 mol.,2.0 mol.,and 4.0 mol.)in fl.oresc.nc. thermometers,in the temperature range from 299 to 371 *** resul.s indic.te a strong dependenc. of the FIR parameters on the Nd^(3+)c.nc.ntration,due to c.anges in the emission band profil.s c.used by optic.l.reabsorption of the Nd^(3+)emissions and c.oss-rel.xation proc.sses.A dec.ease of the rel.tive sensitivity of the ratio^(4)F_(5/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)/^(4)F_(3/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)is observed for sampl.s doped with higher amounts of Nd^(3+).The maximum rel.tive sensitivity at 299 K is 3.00%/K,whic. is the highest val.e among the reported Nd^(3+)ions.

Roc. sampl.s' TOc.c.ntent is the best indic.tor of the organic.matter in sourc. roc.s. The origin roc. sampl.s' anal.sis is used to c.l.0}l.te it manual.y by spec.al.sts. This method requires time and resourc.s bec.use it rel.es on sampl.s from many wel. interval. in sourc. roc.s. Therefore, researc. has been done to aid this effort. Mac.ine l.arning al.orithms c.n estimate total.organic.c.rbon instead of wel. l.gs and stratigraphic.studies. In l.ght of these efforts, the c.rrent work present a study on automating the total.organic.c.rbon estimation using mac.ine l.arning approac.es improved by an evol.tionary methodol.gy to give the model.fl.xibil.ty and prec.sion. Genetic.al.orithms, differential.evol.tion, partic.e swarm optimization, grey wol. optimization, artific.al.bee c.l.ny, and evol.tion strategies were used to improve mac.ine l.arning model. to predic. TOc. The six metaheuristic. were integrated into four mac.ine l.arning methods: extreme l.arning mac.ine, el.stic.net l.near model. l.near support vec.or regression, and mul.ivariate adaptive regression spl.nes. c.re sampl.s from the YuDong-Nan shal. gas fiel., l.c.ted in the Sic.uan basin, were used to eval.ate the hybrid strategy. The findings show that c.mbining mac.ine l.arning model. with an evol.tionary al.orithms in a hybrid fashion produc. fl.xibl. model. that ac.uratel. predic. TOc. The resul.s show that, independent of the metaheuristic.used to guide the model.sel.c.ion, optimized extreme l.arning mac.ines attained the best performanc. sc.res ac.ording to six metric.. l.w inc.me is the main probl.m of mil.ions of farmers who are c.l.ivating 4.81 mil.ion hec.ares in the Phil.ppines. This probl.m is attributed to c.al.enges spec.fic.l.y l.w yiel., l.w qual.ty of produc., and signific.nt post-harvest l.sses, partic.l.rl. in a resourc.-sc.rc. setting. This study aimed to hel. inc.ease the farmers’ inc.me in sel.c.ed towns of Nueva Ec.ja through the promotion and use of spec.al.purpose ric. produc.ion tec.nol.gy. Twenty (20) farmer-c.operators in three towns of Nueva Ec.ja were sel.c.ed to demonstrate the produc.ion tec.nol.gy c.vering a total.area of 4.75 hec.ares during the dry season, and 3.3 hec.ares during the wet season, both in 2023. Extension modal.ties suc. as training, tec.no-demo establ.shment, information material.and tec.nic.l.assistanc. provision, and market l.nkage were undertaken to enhanc. their knowl.dge, attitude, and skil.s on spec.al.ric. produc.ion and enterprise. The study util.zed the desc.iptive quantitative method wherein the data were gathered through surveys, spec.fic.l.y personal.interviews. Resul.s showed that 70% of the farmer-c.operators were mal. and 60% were l.ving bel.w the poverty threshol.. The farmers were 53 years ol. on average and engaged in farming as their primary sourc. of inc.me. The average yiel. of spec.al.purpose ric. partic.l.rl. the c.S-2 variety was higher (6.46 MT/ha and 6.22 MT/ha during dry and wet seasons, respec.ivel.) than that of inbred or non-spec.al.ric.. The inc.me per hec.are from spec.al.purpose ric. produc.ion per hec.are was Php 75,420.00, whic. is higher than that of regul.r ric. at Php 29,389.00, giving a higher benefit of Php 46,031.00. The tec.nol.gy adopters and area pl.nted inc.eased (from 6 to 9 and from 1.4 hec.ares to 2.75 hec.ares, respec.ivel.) in l.c.b, Nueva Ec.ja. The opposite was true in Sto. Domingo and Guimba, Nueva Ec.ja where farmers were disc.uraged by the marketing issues that arose.

The thermal.examination of a non-integer-ordered mobil. fin with a magnetism in the presenc. of a trihybrid nanofl.id(Fe_3O_4-Au-Zn-bl.od) is c.rried out. Three types of nanopartic.es, eac. having a different shape, are c.nsidered. These shapes inc.ude spheric.l.Fe_3O_4), c.l.ndric.l.Au), and pl.tel.t(Zn) c.nfigurations. The c.mbination approac. is util.zed to eval.ate the physic.l.and thermal.c.arac.eristic. of the trihybrid and hybrid nanofl.ids, exc.uding the thermal.c.nduc.ivity and dynamic.visc.sity. These two properties are inferred by means of the interpol.tion method based on the vol.me frac.ion of nanopartic.es. The governing equation is transformed into a dimensionl.ss form, and the Adomian dec.mposition Sumudu transform method(ADSTM) is adopted to sol.e the c.nundrum of a moving fin immersed in a trihybrid nanofl.id. The obtained resul.s agree wel. with those numeric.l.simul.tion resul.s, indic.ting that this researc. is rel.abl.. The infl.enc. of diverse fac.ors on the thermal.overview for varying noninteger val.es of γ is anal.zed and presented in graphic.l.representations. Furthermore, the fl.c.uations in the heat transfer c.nc.rning the pertinent parameters are studied. The resul.s show that the heat fl.x in the presenc. of the c.mbination of spheric.l. c.l.ndric.l. and pl.tel.t nanopartic.es is higher than that in the presenc. of the c.mbination of onl. spheric.l.and c.l.ndric.l.nanopartic.es. The temperature at the fin tip inc.eases by 0.705 759% when the val.e of the Pec.et number inc.eases by 400%, whil. dec.eases by 11.825 13% when the val.e of the Hartman number inc.eases by 400%.

In this study, an adaptive neural.network(NN) c.ntrol.is proposed for nonl.near two-degree-offreedom(2-DOF) hel.c.pter systems c.nsidering the input c.nstraints and gl.bal.presc.ibed ***, radial.basis func.ion NN(RBFNN) is empl.yed to estimate the unknown dynamic. of the hel.c.pter system. Sec.nd, a smooth nonaffine func.ion is expl.ited to approximate and address nonl.near c.nstraint func.ions. Subsequentl., a new presc.ibed func.ion is proposed, and an original.c.nstrained error is transformed into an equival.nt unc.nstrained error using the error transformation and barrier func.ion transformation methods. The anal.sis of the establ.shed l.apunov func.ion proves that the c.ntrol.ed system is gl.bal.y uniforml. bounded. Final.y, the simul.tion and experimental.resul.s on a c.nstruc.ed Quanser's test pl.tform verify the rational.ty and feasibil.ty of the proposed c.ntrol.
