Isolation of Fuc.xanthin from the Rhizoid of Laminariajaponic. Aresc.

Fuc.xanthin was extrac.ed from the intac. rhizoid of Laminariajaponic. Aresc. with dimethyl sulfoxide （DMSO）, and then rec.vered from the DMSO extrac. by partitioning into ethyl ac.tate and subsequent evaporation. Some isolation c.nditions suc. as solvent volume and extrac.ion time were sc.eened. The quantity and quality of the extrac.ed fuc.xanthin were determined by spec.ral analysis （absorption spec.ra and fluoresc.nc. emission spec.ra）. The results indic.ted that：（1） the average total c.ntent of fuc.xanthin was 122.1μg in 1 g of fresh L. japonic. rhizoid; （2） in c.mparison with the widely used organic.solvent, ac.tone, DMSO was muc. more effec.ive for the extrac.ion of fuc.xanthin; （3） both DMSO volume and extrac.ion time influenc.d extrac.ion effic.enc. suc. as the rec.very rate and purity of fuc.xanthin （1 g of fresh L. japonic. rhizoid treated with 4 mL DMSO for 60 min, yielded 〉 88% of the total fuc.xanthin with purity 0.63）; （4） when （NH4）2SO4 c.nc.ntration was in the range of 0.5-1.0 mol/L, the pigments rapidly and entirely moved from DMSO into the ethyl ac.tate phase; （5） the ethyl ac.tate and DMSO were rec.c.ed using a rotary evaporator.

Biotic.and abiotic.stresses impose a serious limitation on c.op produc.ivity worldwide. Prior or simultaneous exposure to one type of stress often affec.s the plant response to other stresses, indic.ting extensive overlap and c.oss-talk.between stress-response signaling pathways. Systems biology approac.es that integrate large genomic.and prot-eomic.data sets have fac.litated identific.tion of c.ndidate genes that govern this stress-regulatory c.osstalk. Rec.ntly, we c.nstruc.ed a yeast two-hybrid map around three ric. proteins that c.ntrol the response to biotic.and abiotic.stresses, namely the immune rec.ptor XA21, whic. c.nfers resistanc. to the Gram-negative bac.erium, Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae; NH1, the ric. ortholog of NPR1, a k.y regulator of systemic.ac.uired resistanc.; and the ethylene-responsive transc.iption fac.or, SUBIA, whic. c.nfers toleranc. to submergenc. stress. These studies c.upled with transc.iptional profiling and c.-expression analyses identified a suite of proteins that are positioned at the interfac. of biotic.and abiotic.stress responses, inc.uding mitogen-ac.ivated protein k.nase 5 （OsMPk.）, wall-assoc.ated k.nase 25 （WAk.5）, suc.ose non-fermenting-l-related protein k.nase-1 （SnRk.）, SUBIA binding protein 23 （SAB23）, and several WRk. family tran- sc.iption fac.ors. Emerging evidenc. suggests that these genes orc.estrate c.osstalk.between biotic.and abiotic.stresses through a variety of mec.anisms, inc.uding regulation of c.llular energy homeostasis and modific.tion of synergistic.and/or antagonistic.interac.ions between the stress hormones salic.lic.ac.d, ethylene, jasmonic.ac.d, and absc.sic.ac.d.

An ideal and simple formulation is suc.essfully derived that well represents a quasi-linear relationship found between the domain-averaged water vapor, Q （ram）, and temperature, T （k., fields for the three tropic.l oc.ans （i.e., the Pac.fic. Atlantic.and Indian Oc.ans） based on eleven GEOS-3 [Goddard Earth Observing System （EOS） Version-3] global re-analysis monthly produc.s. A Q - T distribution analysis is also performed for the tropic.l and extra-tropic.l regions based on in-situ sounding data and numeric.l simulations [GEOS-3 and the Goddard c.mulus Ensemble （Gc.） model]. A similar positively c.rrelated Q - T distribution is found over the entire oc.anic.and tropic.l regions; however, Q inc.eases faster with T for the former region. It is suspec.ed that the tropic.l oc.ans may possess a moister boundary layer than the Tropic.. The oc.anic.regime falls within the lower bound of the tropic.l regime embedded in a global, c.rvilinear Q - T relationship. A positive c.rrelation is also found between T and sea surfac. temperature （SST）; however, for one degree of inc.ease in T, SST is found to inc.ease 1.1 degrees for a warmer oc.an, whic. is slightly less than an inc.ease of 1.25 degrees for a c.lder oc.an. This seemingly indic.tes that more （less） heat is needed for an open oc.an to maintain an air mass above it with a same degree of temperature rise during a c.lder （warmer） season [or in a c.lder （warmer） region]. Q and SST are also found to be positively c.rrelated. Relative humidity （RH） exhibits similar behaviors for oc.anic.and tropic.l regions. RH inc.eases with inc.easing SST and T over oc.ans, while it inc.eases with inc.easing T in the Tropic.. RH, however, dec.eases with inc.easing temperature in the extratropic.. In the present work. hybrid sintering tec.nique whic. c.uples the resistive heating and mic.owave heating is employed to sinter infrared transparent La0.15Y1.85O3 to 99.2% of the theoretic.l density for the first time to the best of our k.owledge. The presenc. of La3+ in the yttria matrix improves the hardness properties to a greater extent without affec.ing the transmittanc. properties, but there is a deterioration in the thermal properties of the sample. So we have limited our studies to La0.15Y1.85O3 whic. shows better optic.l, thermal, and hardness properties. The pellets fabric.ted from the ultra-fine nano powder with average partic.e size of ~12 nm synthesized by c.mbustion tec.nique and sintered at 1430 ℃ with an average grain size of 0.22 μm show ~80.1% transmittanc. in the UV–visible region and 81% in mid infrared region. For a c.mparative study of the optic.l, mec.anic.l, and thermal properties, two other variants of sintering strategies namely c.nventional sintering and mic.owave sintering are also employed. A c.mprehensive analysis on the hardness reveals that the hardness of the pellets sintered via hybrid heating is 9.73 GPa and is superior to the pellets sintered using the other two tec.niques. The thermal c.nduc.ivity of the sample is also analyzed in detail. The results c.early indic.te that the La0.15Y1.85O3 ultra-fine nano powder synthesised by the single-step c.mbustion method and sintered via mic.owave hybrid heating shows better transmittanc. properties without c.mpromising the mec.anic.l properties, and c.n be used very effec.ively for the fabric.tion of infrared transparent windows and domes.

c.rbon dioxide (c.2) is the major c.mponent of greenhouse gas. Inc.ease in c.nc.ntration of c.2 in the atmosphere leads to global warming. To remove the c.2 from waste flue gas a four-stage c.unter-c.rrent multistage fluidized bed adsorber was developed and operated in c.ntinuous bubbling fluidization regime for the two丒phase system. This paper desc.ibes the optimum c.ndition for c.2 removal effic.enc. in a multistage fluidized bed reac.or using amine impregnated ac.ivated c.rbon. Response surfac. methodology with c.ntral c.mposite design was used to determine the effec. of three variables on the response. The variables are inlet c.nc.ntration of c.2 in ppm (ranging from 3000 to 20,000), impregnation ratio of monoethanol amine (ranging from 0.2 to 0.6) and weir height in mm (20-60). The response was c.2 removal effic.enc.. The fac.or whic. was most influential has been identified from the analysis of varianc.. The optimum c.2 removal effic.enc. for the amine impregnated ac.ivated c.rbon (MEA-Ac. was found to be 95.17%, at initial c.nc.ntration of c.2 7312.85 ppm, c.emic.l impregnation ratio of 0.31, and weir height 48.65 mm. From the experiment, the c.2 removal effic.enc. was found to be 95.97% at the same operating c.nditions. The predic.ed response was found to relevanc. with experimental data.

Two struc.urally c.arac.erized metal-c.uster-c.ntered supramolec.lar arc.itec.ures named [Ag8（1,2-（c. c.2-c.H4）（Py[6]）（c.3c.2）6]·2.5MeOH （1） and [Ag12（1,2,4,5-（c.c.ac.H2）（Py[6]）2（c.3SO3）s]·4MeOH·3H2O （2） are synthesized through the interac.ion with a bowl-shaped mac.oc.c.ic.ligand PyI61. Partic.larly, two dissimilar silver（I） c.usters are resulted in 2 within the struc.ure under the influenc. of the mac.oc.c.ic.ligand Py[6]. Suc. dissimilarity of the silver（1） c.uster is also reflec.ed on the struc.ural and photophysic.l differenc.s between 1 and 2.

The c.rrent researc. was investigated the mec.anism of c.al demineralization and the effec. of leac.ing parameters on high ash c.al and study the c.arac.erization of pre and post-treated c.al. The two high ash Indian c.al selec.ed from Mahanadi c.alfield Limited, Odisha, pulverized to 375, 230 and 180 gm partic.e size were undergone simultaneous ac.d and alk.li treatment at a different c.nc.ntration, temperature and time. The perc.nt demineralization was inc.eased with dec.ease the size of the partic.e and rises with leac.ing parameters. The investigation suggested 180 μm partic.e size offers effic.ent demineralization for both c.als at 30% NaOH and 30% H2SO4 c.nc.ntration. The alk.li leac.ing leads to obtaining the demineralization 46% and 42% whereas ac.d treatment resulted in 34% and 32% of the original c.al samples. The extent of demineralization was improved the c.lorific.value of c.al. Besides, the degree of demineralization was proved from the FTIR, XRF and FESEM-EDX analysis results. FTIR analysis result showed that the peak.intensity of mineral band dec.eased by the leac.ing effec. and the degree of demineralization was signific.ntly obtained to large extent by the X-ray Fluoresc.nc. spec.rometer; whic. eluc.dates major minerals removed from c.al by the leac.ing effec. of ac.d and alk.li solution.

The ionization energies （IEs） of c.c.opropenylidene （c.c.H2）, propargylene （Hc.c.） and propadienylidene （H2c.c. have been c.mputed using the c.SD（T）/c.S method, whic. involves the approxixnation to the c.mplete basis set （c.S） limit at the c.upled c.uster level with single and double exc.tations plus quasi-perturbative triple exc.tation effec. （c.SD（T））. The zero-point vibrational energy c.rrec.ion, the c.re-valenc. elec.ronic.c.rrec.ion, the sc.lar relativistic.effec. and the high level c.rrec.ion beyond the c.SD（T） exc.tations have also been made in these c.lc.lations. The c.SD（T）/c.S values for the IN（c.c.H2） and IE（Hc.c.） of 9.164, 8.987 eV are in good agreement with the experimental values of （9.15±0.03） and （8.96±0.04） eV. The c.SD（T）/c.S c.lc.lations yield the IE values of 10.477 and 10.388 eV for the ionization transitions H2c.c.H2c.c.＋（^2A1, c.v） and H2c.c.H2c.c. （^2A＇, c.）, respec.ively. On the basis of the Franek.c.ndon fac.or c.nsideration, the IE of （10.43±0.02） eV determined in the previous single-photon ionization experiment most lik.ly c.rresponds to the ionization threshold for the H2c.c.H2c.c.＋（^2A1, c.v） transition. Although the prec.sion of the experimental IN measurements fpr c.c.H2, Hc.c., and H2c.c.is insuffic.ent to pin down the ac.urac. of the theoretic.l c.lc.lations to better than ±30 meV, the exc.llent agreement between the experimental and theoretic.l IE values observed in the present study indic.tes that the c.SD（T）/c.S c.lc.lations together with high-order c.rrelation c.rrec.ions are c.pable of yielding reliable IE predic.ions for simple hydroc.rbon c.rbenes and bi-radic.ls. We have also reported the heats of formation at 0 k.（△H^of0） and 298 k.（△H^of298）for c.c.H2/c.c.H2^＋, Hc.c./Hc.c.^＋, and H2c.c.H2c.c.＋, The available experimental △H^of0 and △H^of298 values for c.c.H2/c.c.H2^＋, Hc.c./Hc.c.^＋ are found to be in good ac.ord with the c.SD（T）/c.S predic.ions after tak.ng into ac.ount the experimental unc.rtainties.
