Understanding the in vivo transport proc.ss provides guidelines for designing ideal nanopartic.es (NPs) with higher effic.c. and fewer off-target effec.s. Many.fac.ors, suc. as partic.e size, morphology. surfac. potential, struc.ural stability. and etc., may.influenc. the delivering proc.ss of NPs due to the existenc. of various phy.iologic.l barriers within the body. Herein, we summarise the distinc. influenc.s of NP phy.ic.c.emic.l properties on the four c.nsec.tive in vivo transport steps: (1) navigating with bloodstream within blood vessels, (2) transport ac.oss vasc.lature walls into tumour tissues, (3) intratumoural transport through the interstitial spac., and (4) c.llular uptake & intrac.llular delivery.by.c.nc.rous c.lls. We found that the philosophy.behind the c.rrent c.nsensus for NP design has c.rtain similarities to the “y.n-y.ng” theory.in traditional c.inese c.lture. Almost all phy.ic.c.emic.l properties, regardless of big or small sizes, long or short length, positive or negative zeta potentials, are double-edged swords. The balanc. of potential benefits and side effec.s, drug selec.ivity.and ac.essibility.should be fully.c.nsidered when optimising partic.e design, similar to the “y.n-y.ng harmony.. This paper presents a c.mprehensive review of the advanc.ments in NPs researc., foc.sing on their distinc. features in tumour targeting, drug delivery. and c.ll uptake. We present resolved Giant Metrewave Radio Telesc.pe H I observations of the high gas-phase metallic.ty.dwarf galaxy.WISEA J230615.06+143927.9(z = 0.005)(hereafter J2306) and investigate whether it c.uld be a Tidal Dwarf Galaxy.TDG) c.ndidate. TDGs are observed to have higher metallic.ties than normal dwarfs. J2306 has an unusual c.mbination of a blue g-r c.lor of 0.23 mag, irregular optic.l morphology.and high-metallic.ty.12 +log(O/H) = 8.68 ± 0.14), making it an interesting galaxy.to study.in more detail. We find J2306 to be an H I ric. galaxy.with a large extended, unperturbed rotating H I disk. Using our H I data we estimated its dy.amic.l mass and found the galaxy.to be dark matter(DM) dominated within its H I radius. The quantity.of DM, inferred from its dy.amic.l mass, appears to rule out J2306 as an evolved TDG. A wide area environment searc. reveals J2306 to be isolated from any.larger galaxies whic. c.uld have been the sourc. of its high gas metallic.ty. Additionally. the H I morphology.and kinematic. of the galaxy.show no indic.tion of a rec.nt merger to explain the *** detailed optic.l spec.rosc.pic.observations of J2306 might provide an answer to how a seemingly.ordinary.irregular dwarf galaxy.ac.ieved suc. a high level of metal enric.ment.

We apply.the loc.l method of fundamental solutions (LMFS) to boundary.value problems (BVPs) for the Laplac. and homogeneous biharmonic.equations in annuli. By.appropriately.c.oosing the c.lloc.tion points, the LMFS disc.etization y.elds sparse bloc. c.rc.lant sy.tem matric.s. As a result, matrix dec.mposition algorithms (MDAs) and fast Fourier transforms (FFTs) c.n be used for the solution of the sy.tems resulting in c.nsiderable savings in both c.mputational time and storage requirements. The ac.urac. of the method and its ability.to solve large sc.le problems are demonstrated by.apply.ng it to several numeric.l experiments.

Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glasses are promising materials for thermometers based on the fluoresc.nc. intensity.ratio(FIR)***,at high Nd^(3+)c.nc.ntrations,energy.transfer(ET)proc.sses suc. as optic.l reabsorption and c.oss-relaxation c.n affec. the Nd^(3+)emission,whic. has been little explored in the ***,the present work investigated the use of Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glass(samples doped with Nd^(3+)at 0.2 mol%,0.5 mol%,2.0 mol%,and 4.0 mol%)in fluoresc.nc. thermometers,in the temperature range from 299 to 371 *** results indic.te a strong dependenc. of the FIR parameters on the Nd^(3+)c.nc.ntration,due to c.anges in the emission band profiles c.used by.optic.l reabsorption of the Nd^(3+)emissions and c.oss-relaxation proc.sses.A dec.ease of the relative sensitivity.of the ratio^(4)F_(5/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)/^(4)F_(3/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)is observed for samples doped with higher amounts of Nd^(3+).The maximum relative sensitivity.at 299 K is 3.00%/K,whic. is the highest value among the reported Nd^(3+)ions.

Leptin Modulates the Differentiation of Keratinoc.tes via Autophagy.in Psoriasis Patients with Metabolic.Sy.drome

Objec.ive: Psoriasis is assoc.ated with a high prevalenc. of metabolic.sy.drome (MS), and patients with c.nc.mitant psoriasis and MS are more severely.affec.ed and less responsive to treatment. However, the molec.lar mec.anisms behind these effec.s are unknown. Rec.nt studies have shown that leptin may.serve as a molec.lar link between psoriasis and MS, suggesting that high leptin c.nc.ntrations may.exac.rbate psoriasis. However, the molec.lar mec.anism of this effec. is still unc.ear. We aimed to investigate the effec. of leptin on autophagy.in patients with psoriasis. Methods: From January.2021 to June 2022 in PLA General Hospital, we enrolled 51 patients with psoriasis, inc.uding 21 patients with MS and 30 without MS, and 30 healthy.c.ntrols who had undergone nevus surgery. We measured the epidermal leptin, P62, and Lc.B c.nc.ntrations of patients by.immunohistoc.emistry. and measured the serum leptin c.nc.ntration by.enzy.e-linked immunosorbent assay. We then performed c.rrelation analy.es to c.mpare these proteins' c.nc.ntrations between patients with c.nc.mitant psoriasis and MS, patients with psoriasis alone, and healthy.c.ntrol groups. Additionally. we performed western blotting after in vitro c.lture of Hac.T c.lls with different c.nc.ntrations of leptin and measured the expression levels of the autophagy.markers Bec.in1, Lc.B, and P62; the differentiation markers K10, K16, and K17; and PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway.related proteins of Hac.t c.lls. Next, we transfec.ed ATG5 into Hac.T c.lls to revert autophagy.and used the spec.fic.PI3K inhibitor Ly.94002 to bloc. PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling. The expression levels of K10, K16, and K17 of Hac.t c.lls were again measured. One-way.analy.is of varianc. was used for the c.mparison of means of multiple samples, and LSD-t post hoc.test was used for c.mparison between the 2 groups. This study.investigates the relationship between c.rc.lation patterns and austral summer temperature anomalies in southern Afric.. The results show that the formation of c.ntinental lows tends to inc.ease the thic.ness of the lower atmosphere. Further, the distinc. variabilities of high and low pressure under the c.rc.lation ty.es, influenc. air mass advec.ion from the adjac.nt oc.ans, as well as atmospheric.stability.over land. Stronger antic.c.onic.c.rc.lation at the western branc. of the Masc.rene high-pressure sy.tem enhanc.s the low-level c.ld air advec.ion by.southeast winds,dec.eases the thic.ness, and lowers the temperature over a majority.of the land in southern Afric.. c.nversely. a weaker Masc.rene High, c.upled with enhanc.d c.c.onic.ac.ivity.in the southwest Indian Oc.an inc.eases low-level warm air advec.ion and inc.eases temperature anomalies over vast regions in southern Afric.. The ridging of a c.osed South Atlantic.antic.c.one at the southern c.ast of southern Afric. results in c.lder temperatures near the tip of southern Afric. due to enhanc.d low-level c.ld air advec.ion by.southeast winds. However, when the ridge is weak and westerly.winds dominate the southern c.ast of southern Afric., these areas experienc. temperature inc.eases. The northward trac. of the Southern Hemisphere mid-latitude c.c.one, whic. c.n be linked to the negative Southern Annular Mode, reduc.s the temperature in the southwestern part of southern Afric..
