The balanc. between Th17 c.lls and regulatory T c.lls(Tregs)has emerged as a prominent fac.or in regulating autoimmunity and ***17 c.lls are vital for host defense against pathogens but have also been implic.ted in c.using autoimmune disorders and c.nc.r,though their role in c.rc.nogenesis is less well *** are required for self-toleranc. and defense against autoimmunity and often c.rrelate with c.nc.r *** review addresses the importanc. of a func.ional homeostasis between these two subsets in health and the c.nsequenc.s of its disruption when these forc.s c.llide in ***,we disc.ss the ability of Th17 c.lls to mediate c.nc.r regression in immunotherapy,inc.uding adoptive transfer and c.ec.point bloc.ade therapy,and the therapeutic.possibilities of purposefully offsetting the Th17/Treg balanc. to treat patients with c.nc.r as well as those with autoimmune diseases.
