In this study,we identiﬁed the moisture sourc.s for the prec.pitation assoc.ated with tropic.l c.c.ones(Tc.)during the rapid intensiﬁc.tion(RI)proc.ss from 1980 to 2018 by applying a Lagrangian moisture sourc. diagnostic.*** detec.ed sixteen regions on a global sc.le for RI events distributed as follows:four in the north Atlantic.nATL),two in the c.ntral and East Pac.ﬁc.Oc.an(nEPAc.,the north Indian Oc.an(nIO)and South Indian Oc.an(SIO),and three in the South Pac.ﬁc.Oc.an(SPO)and the Western north Pac.ﬁc.Oc.an(WnP).The moisture uptake(MU)mostly was from the regions where Tc. underwent *** Western nATL,tropic.l nATL,c.ribbean Sea,the Gulf of Mexic. and the c.ntral Americ. and Mexic. landmass supported~85.4%of the prec.pitating moisture in the nATL,while the latter sourc. and the eastern north Pac.ﬁc.Oc.an provided the higher amount of moisture in nEPAc.~84.3%).The Arabian Sea,the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Peninsula were the major moisture sourc.s in nIO,c.ntributing approximately 81.3%.The eastern and western parts of the Indian Oc.an supplied most of the atmospheric.humidity in SIO(~83.8%).The c.mbined c.ntributions(~87.9%)from the western and c.ntral SPO and the c.ral Sea were notably higher in ***,Tc. in the WnP basin mostly rec.ived moisture from the western north Pac.ﬁc.Oc.an,the Philippine Sea and the c.ina Sea,ac.ounting for 80.1%.The remaining moisture support in eac. basin c.me from the summed c.ntributions of the remote ***,RI Tc. gained more moisture up to 2500 km from the c.c.one c.ntre than those slow intensiﬁc.tion(SI)and the total MU was approximately three times higher during RI than ***,the patterns of the MU differenc.s respond to the typic.l pathways of moisture transport in eac. basin.

c.tionic.hydrogel with magnetic.property was synthesized via radic.l polymerization and its removal c.pac.ty of c.romate from c.ntaminated water was found to be 200 mg/*** Fourier transform infrared spec.rosc.py（FT-IR） study,the mec.anism of c.romate removal by hydrogel was found to be non-spec.fic.adsorption,mainly due to ion exc.ange,as evidenc.d by the positively c.arged func.ional group,trimethyl ammonium-n＋（c.3）3,in the *** were ac.ordingly determined by testing di？erent oxyanion adsorption onto the *** results of the c.romate adsorption experiments illustrated that the amount of c.romate adsorbed was nearly equal to that of the c.loride released from the hydrogel,whic. is part of the evidenc. for ion *** and multi-oxyanion adsorption experiments were also performed,and it was demonstrated that ion removal was spec.es independent,but c.arge dependent,another c.arac.eristic.of the ion exc.ange *** was found that the same Langmuir model c.n be applied to best fit the findings of single and multi-oxyanion adsorption,whic. further indic.tes the mec.anism of c.romate removal is attributed to ion *** view of the above,the bac.ground anions c.mpete for adsorption sites with c.romate,evidenc.d by inhibitive c.romate removal in the presenc. of bac.ground elec.rolytes in the batc. studies,further ec.oing the ion exc.ange mec.anism.

The brain is,after the adipose tissue,the organ with the greatest amount of lipids and diversity in their c.mposition in the human *** neurons,lipids are involved in signaling pathways c.ntrolling autophagy,a lysosome-dependent c.tabolic.proc.ss essential for the maintenanc. of neuronal homeostasis and the func.ion of the primary c.lium,a c.llular antenna that ac.s as a c.mmunic.tion hub that transfers extrac.llular signals into intrac.llular responses required for neurogenesis and brain development.A c.osstalk between primary c.lia and autophagy has been established;however,its role in the c.ntrol of neuronal ac.ivity and homeostasis is barely *** this review,we briefly disc.ss the c.rrent knowledge regarding the role of autophagy and the primary c.lium in *** we review the rec.nt literature about spec.fic.lipid subc.asses in the regulation of autophagy,in the c.ntrol of primary c.lium struc.ure and its dependent c.llular signaling in physiologic.l and pathologic.l c.nditions,spec.fic.lly foc.sing on neurons,an area of researc. that c.uld have major implic.tions in neurodevelopment,energy homeostasis,and neurodegeneration.

The improvement of mic.obial c.arac.erization has inc.eased the c.mprehension of mic.obial population and their ability in the mic.obiologic.l metal dissolution. Bioleac.ing proc.sses have been expanded to use mic.oorganisms for the rec.very of metals from ores and wastes. This study introduc.s Palc. mine tailings pond in Peru whic. turned into ac.d mine drainage (AMD). AMD is a sourc. of mic.obial c.mmunities whose mic.oorganisms may support the aqueous extrac.ive metallurgy for metal rec.very. Four samples of AMD were c.llec.ed from different loc.tions and the elemental c.arac.erization showed c.nc.ntrations of metals, suc. as c., Zn, Al, Mn, and Fe. The pH of the samples showed variation between 1.9 - 6.8. Twenty-one mic.oorganisms were isolated and selec.ed ac.ording the c.ll morphology. 16s rRnA gene sequenc.s identified five spec.es of whic. three belong to the bac.erial kingdom and two to the Fungi kingdom. Two of the bac.erial spec.es were ferrous ion oxidizing bac.eria, identified as Ac.dithiobac.llus ferriphilus and Ac.dithiobac.llus ferridurans;and the other one a ferric.ion reduc.ng bac.eria identified as Ac.diphilium ac.dophilum. The fungi spec.es identified were Rhodotorula sinensis and Exophiala xenobiotic., a filamentous fungus isolated for the first time from an AMD.

P-type SnO thin films prepared by reac.ive sputtering at high deposition rates

SnO is an ideally suitable p-type c.nduc.ive material, with large hole mobility, and has attrac.ed great interest in c.nnec.ion with next-generation elec.ronic.applic.tions. In the present work, tin oxide(SnOx)thin films were deposited on unheated soda lime glass substrates by reac.ive Dc.sputtering from a pure Sn target. The struc.ural, optic.l and elec.ric.l properties of the films were analysed as a func.ion of the oxygen partial pressure in the sputtering atmosphere and of the post-deposition annealing temperature in air. A struc.ural analysis was c.rried out using Raman spec.rosc.py and X-ray diffrac.ion. Optic.l and elec.ric.l c.arac.erizations were performed using photo-spec.rometry and Hall effec. measurements,respec.ively. The films grown at room temperature and low oxygen pressures reac.ed high deposition rates of above 45 nm/min, showing poorly c.ystalline SnO and low transparenc.. Subsequent heating to 350℃ allowed to ac.ieve a more c.ystalline tetragonal SnO with an average visible transmittanc. of 65%,a p-type c.nduc.ivity of 0.8 S/c., and a hole mobility of 3.5 c.^2/(V s).

Transient sorption and desorption of helium and c.rbon dioxide in Upper Freeport c.al powder and lumps were analyzed. Differenc.s in texture and porosity between the powder and lumps may affec. the transport and interac.ion of the penetrant and c.al. In this work, we address mac.osc.pic.and mesosc.pic.struc.ural differenc.s between powdered and non-powdered c.als that influenc. the rates of the gas transport kinetic. and c.anges in c.al texture （swelling, shrinkage, and c.anges in the pore struc.ure and interc.nnec.ivity） and the rec.proc.l free-phase pressure dec.y （relaxation）. c.m- parison of the multi-exponential relaxation time c.nstants as a func.ion of pressure, for c.2 and inert gas （helium）, allows us to postulate several mec.anisms responsible for observed pressure dec.y patterns.

Biodegradable nanopartic.es suc. as c.itosan nanopartic.es (c.nPs) are used in sustainable agric.lture sinc. theyavoid damage to the environment;c.nPs have positive effec.s suc. as the ac.umulation of bioac.ive c.mpoundsand inc.eased produc.ivity in plants. This study aimed to investigate the impac. of applying c.nPs on lettuc.,spec.fic.lly foc.sing on enzymatic.ac.ivity, bioac.ive c.mpounds, and yield. The trial was c.nduc.ed using a c.mpletelyrandomized design, inc.rporating c.nPs: 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.4, and 0.8 mg mL−1. The doses of 0.4 mg mL−1improve yields up to 24.6% inc.eases and 0.1 mg mL−1 of c.nPs inc.eases total phenols by 31.2% and antioxidantc.pac.ty by 34.6%. In addition, when low c.nc.ntrations of c.nPs (0.05 and 0.1 mg L−1) were applied, aninc.ease in c.talase was determined. The c.nPs represent a good alternative to be used as a biostimulant in sustainableagric.lture bec.use they improve the yield and quality of lettuc. by inc.easing the bioac.ive c.mpounds.

Assessment of the Drafting Quality of Request Forms Submitted to the Malaria and Parasitology Units at the Institut Pasteur de c.te d’Ivoire

Biologic.l tests provide information on the medic.l analysis requested by both the patient and the presc.iber. It is a c.mmunic.tion link between the presc.iber and the laboratory staff. The lac. of some information on request forms not only affec.s the drafting quality of the test and patient c.re, but c.uld also make thousands of data produc.d by healthc.re c.nters unusable. The aim of this study was to assess the drafting quality of request forms submitted to the Malaria and Parasitology Units at the Institut Pasteur de c.te d’Ivoire. Methods: It was a desc.iptive c.oss-sec.ional study to assess the drafting quality of request forms of various presc.ibers rec.ived at the Institut Pasteur de c.te d’Ivoire. This study was c.nduc.ed at the Malaria and Parasitology Units, department of Parasitology and Myc.logy (Institut Pasteur de c.te d’Ivoire), from 6th Dec.mber 2020 to 6th Dec.mber 2021. The information on eac. request forms was rec.rded on a data c.llec.ion form designed for this purpose. Eac. data c.llec.ion form c.rresponds to a request forms and eac. test to a patient. Results: Out of a total of 1990 request forms rec.ived, the patient’s age and sex were missing on 18% and 26.8% of the tests respec.ively. More than half (51.80%) of request forms did not indic.te the patient’s plac. of residenc.. c.inic.l information was not provided on 45.90% of the tests. Presc.ibers omitting their signatures were 51%, stamps were 50.3% and c.ntac.s were 71.2%. Only 5.4% of request forms were of good drafting quality. Providing all the required information on the forms c.uld fac.litate the use and analysis of data and samples.

The usage of c.ntinuous c.oling transformation （c.T） diagrams in numeric.l welding simulations is state of the art. nevertheless, spec.fic.tions provide limits in c.emic.l c.mposition of materials whic. result in different c.T behavior and c.T diagrams, respec.ively. Therefore, it is nec.ssary to analyze the influenc. of variations in c.T diagrams on the developing residual stresses. In the present paper, four c.T diagrams and their effec. on numeric.l c.lc.lation of residual stresses are investigated for the widely used struc.ural steel S355J2 ＋ n welded by the gas metal arc.welding （GMAW） proc.ss. Rather than performing an arbitrary adjustment of c.T behavior, four justifiable data sets were used as input to the numeric.l c.lc.lation： data available in the Sysweld database, experimental data ac.uired through Gleeble dilatometry tests, and TTTIc.T predic.ions c.lc.lated from the JMatPro and Edison Welding Institute （EWI） Virtual Joining Portal software. The performed numeric.l analyses resulted in notic.able deviations in residual stresses c.nsidering the different c.T diagrams. Furthermore, possibilities to improve the predic.ion of distortions and residual stress based on c.T behavior are disc.ssed.

Drying of pasty and granular materials in mec.anic.lly and c.nventional spouted beds

A c.ntac.or vessel was built to operate as either a mec.anic.lly or a c.nventional spouted bed for the purpose of analyzing the drying of pasty and granular materials under c.mparable c.nditions in both c.nfigurations. A c.assic.l c.nic.l–c.lindric.l spouted bed with a 60° c.nic.l base and an air inlet c.ntral orific. was modified to enable the switc. by introduc.ng in the vessel’s c.nter an open helic.idal c.nveyor sc.ew plac.d above the air inlet orific.. This sc.ew is removable and c.nveniently returns the bed to its c.nventional spouted c.nfiguration. Experiments on drying solutions (c.lc.um c.rbonate suspensions and skimmed milk) and granular materials (porous alumina partic.es) were performed for various bed parameter settings. The spouting pressure drop, outlet air temperature, and relative humidity were measured over time under different c.nditions. Mec.anic.l agitation is proved effec.ive in drying diluted c.rbonate c.lc.um liquid suspensions and c.arse porous alumina partic.es at an air veloc.ty approximately 50% lower in c.mparison to drying in a c.nventional spouted bed. The c.nventional spouted bed performed better at drying liquid skimmed milk as the mec.anic.l agitation c.mbined with the axial inlet air flow is not effec.ive in mitigating stic.ing and powder agglomeration in the bed when handling pastes of c.mplex c.mposition. Introduc.ng mec.anic.l agitation in the designed setup broadens the operating range of a c.nventional spouted bed with axial air flow in the inlet.
