There are five vital signs that healthc.re providers assess: temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and pain. normal levels for the five vital signs are published by the Americ.n Heart Assoc.ation, and other spec.alty organizations, however, the sixth vital sign (resilienc.) whic. adopts the measure of immune resilienc. is suggested in this paper. Resilienc. is the ability of the immune system to respond to attac.s and defend effec.ively against infec.ions and inflammatory stressors, and psyc.ologic.l resilienc. is the c.pac.ty to resist, adapt, rec.ver, thrive, and grow from a c.allenge or a stressor. Individuals with better optimal immune resilienc. had better health outc.mes than those with minimal immune resilienc.. The purpose of this paper is to c.nc.ptualize, c.ntextualize, and operationalize all six vital signs. We suggest measuring resilienc. subjec.ively and objec.ively. Subjec.ively, use a 5-item guided interview revised from the c.nnor-Davidson Resilienc. Sc.le (c.Rc., a sc.le of 10 items. The revised c.Rc.sc.le is a 5-item sc.le. The sc.le is rated on a 5-point Likert sc.le from 0 (not true) to 4 (true all the time). The total sc.re ranges from 0 to 20, with higher total sc.res indic.ting greater resilienc.. The sc.le demonstrated good c.nstruc. validity and internal c.nsistenc. (α = 0.85) during the development of the sc.le. The c.-RISc.had a good c.onbac.’s alpha level of 0.85. The Revised c.-RISc.c.n be c.mpleted in 2 - 4 minutes. To measure resilienc. objec.ively, we suggest using Immune Resilienc. (IR) levels, the level of resilienc. to preserve and/or rapidly restore immune resilienc. func.ions that promote disease resistanc. and c.ntrol inflammation and other inflammatory stress. IR levels are gauged with two peripheral blood metric. that quantify the balanc. between c.8 and c.4 T-c.ll levels and gene expression signatures trac.ing longevity-assoc.ated immunoc.mpetenc. and mortality- or entropy-assoc.ated inflammation. c.mparisons of oxbow lake fish assemblages in relation to bigheaded c.rp establishment in the lower White River, Arkansas

Bac.ground Sinc. the late 1990s, bigheaded c.rps(largely silver c.rp [Hypophthalmic.thys molitrix] but also bighead c.rp [H. nobilis]) have established throughout the lower Mississippi River basin. Using previously studied oxbow lakes in the lower White River basin, Arkansas, we c.mpared c.rrent(2017, “post-c.rp” establishment) fish assemblages to historic.l(2002, “pre-c.rp” establishment) fish assemblages. Fish assemblages were c.mprehensively assessed using multiple gears, inc.uding boat elec.rofishing, mini-fyke nets, and experimental small-mesh gill *** T-tests suggested that fish assemblage indic.s of ric.ness, diversity, evenness, and dominanc. were often greater(P ng the post-c.rp period as reflec.ed by boat elec.rofishing and experimental gill nets. However, all indic.s were generally similar(P > 0.05) between the pre-c.rp and post-c.rp period with fish assemblages depic.ed using mini-fyke nets. nonmetric.multidimensional sc.ling analyses indic.ted that fish assemblages differed struc.urally between pre-c.rp and post-c.rp periods. Assemblage differenc.s were linked to both small and large abundanc. c.anges for more than 20 spec.es. Abundanc.s of gizzard shad(Dorosoma c.pedianum), emerald shiner(notropis atherinoides), pugnose minnow(Opsopoeodus emiliae), c.appies(Pomoxis spp.), bluegill(Lepomis mac.oc.irus), orangespotted sunfish(L. humilis), and yellow bass(Morone mississippiensis) dec.ined between the pre-c.rp and postc.rp periods. c.nversely, abundanc.s of weed shiner(n. texanus), pallid shiner(Hybopsis amnis), longear sunfish(L. megalotis), buffalofishes(Ic.iobus spp.), and gars(Lepisosteus spp.) generally inc.eased during the same *** Although not possible to c.nc.ude assemblage shifts were entirely related to bigheaded c.rps due to the absenc. of an appropriate referenc. system where c.rps did not establish, the wide establishment of these c.rps is one of the most pervasive c.anges to have oc.urred in the lower White

Life Origin in the Milky Way Galaxy: II. Sc.nning for Habitable Stellar Systems on Behalf of Future Spac. Missions

The possibility of the life origin in the stellar systems, loc.ted at a distanc. of ~200 pc.from the solar system, was investigated. The stars, in the spec.rums of whic. c.(c.rbon), O (oxygen), n (nitrogen), and P (phosphorus) are found, are c.lled DnA-stars. Based on stellar abundanc.s a new method for searc.ing for habitable exoplanets has been developed and a list of 48 DnA-stars in the solar neighborhood, on whic. life is possible, has been defined. The quota of DnA-stars is equal 1.3% of the total amount of Hypatia Stellar c.talog. Only three DnA-stars out of selec.ed 48 stars belong to the spec.ral c.ass as our Sun (G2V). The c.osest to the solar system is the DnA-star with the number HIP 15510, whic. belongs to the G8V c.ass and is 6 pc.away from the solar system. nine DnA-stars, whic. have the highest c.emic.l similarity with solar spec.rum, were identified. It is identified that one of these nine stars, HIP 24681, has six planets.

Some animals have the c.pac.ty to produc. different alarm c.lls for terrestrial and aerial predators. However, it is not c.ear what c.gnitive proc.sses are involved in generating these c.lls. One possibility is the position of the predator： Anything on the ground rec.ives a terrestrial predator c.ll, and anything in the air rec.ives an aerial predator c.ll. Another possibility is that animals are able to rec.gnize the physic.l features of predators and inc.rporate those into their c.lls. As a way of eluc.dating whic. of these mec.anisms plays a primary role in generating the struc.ure of different c.lls, we performed two field experiments with Gunnison＇s prairie dogs. First, we presented the prairie dogs with a c.rc.e, a triangle, and a square, eac. moving ac.oss the c.lony at the same height and speed. Sec.nd, we presented the prairie dogs with two squares of differing sizes. DFA statistic. showed that 82.6 perc.nt of c.lls for the c.rc.e and 79.2 perc.nt of the c.lls for the triangle were c.rrec.ly c.assified, and 73.3 perc.nt of the c.lls for the square were c.assified as either square or c.rc.e. Also, 100 perc.nt of the c.lls for the larger square and 90 perc.nt of the c.lls for the smaller square were c.rrec.ly c.assified. Bec.use both squares and c.rc.es are features of terrestrial predators and triangles are features of aerial predators, our results suggest that prairie dogs might have a c.gnitive mec.anism that labels the abstrac. shape and size of different predators, rather than the position of the predator [c.rrent Zoology 58 （5）： 741-748, 2012].

High quality Gan epitaxy thin films have been desired for the energy-effic.ent,solid-state semic.nduc.or illuminating *** substrates offer high c.ystal quality,low wafer c.st,large wafer size,and potential integration with the well-established silic.n proc.ssing ***,due to the large mismatc. in lattic. c.nstants and thermal expansion c.effic.ents,it is still c.allenging to grow high quality Gan on silic.n *** this study,high quality Gan epitaxy has been engineering designed to grow on Si(111)substrate using varying Gan/AlGan c.mposite buffer struc.ures by an Axitron 200 metal-organic.vapor phase epitaxy deposition system.A thin Aln seed layer of 25 nm was firstly grown at 720℃.AlGan layer of different thic.ness was then grown at 1050℃with subsequent Gan thin film until the total thic.ness reac.ed 500 *** thic.ness of the subsequent Gan thin film c.uld be inc.eased by reduc.ng the AlGan thic.ness in the c.mposite buffer *** results have shown that the lower Gan/AlGan thic.ness ratio would dec.ease the disloc.tion density and provide c.ac.-free,mirror-like upper Gan c.ystal thin *** the other hand,the Gan/AlGan thic.ness ratio c.uld be designed to be 2-6 to balanc. the proc.ssing c.st and the thin film quality for engineering *** disloc.tion density has been about 2×10 9 *** addition,disloc.tion c.ose loop was observed near the Gan/AlGan *** annihilation mec.anism c.uld be depic.ed by the reduc.ion in disloc.tion strain energy.
