Esc.eric.ia c.li are still assoc.ated with long waiting times and high c.sts given the nec.ssity to transport samples to spec.alized *** is a need to develop new tec.nologies that allow c.eap,fast,and direc. monitoring at the site of ***,in this work,we developed optic.l immunosensors for the selec.ive detec.ion of ***,based on liquid c.ystal tec.nology,whose molec.les c.n align in different manners depending on the boundary c.nditions (suc. as substrates) as well as the environment that they *** glass substrate was func.ionalized with *** antibody using c.steamine as an intermediate,and a vertic.l alignment was imposed on the liquid c.ystal molec.les by using DMOAP during *** presenc. of bac.eria disrupts the alignment of the liquid c.ystal molec.les,c.anging the intensity of light emerging between c.oss polarizers,measured using a polarized optic.l mic.osc.pe and a *** was possible to detec. *** in suspensions in the c.nc.ntration range from 2.8 c.lls/mL to 2.8×10^(9) c.lls∕*** was also evaluated,and the sensors were used to analyze c.ntaminated water samples.A prototype was developed to allow faster,in-situ,and easier analysis avoiding bulky instruments.

This study presents an optimisation-based approac. for determining c.ntroller gains in ship path-following under varying sea states, wave, and wind direc.ions. The dynamic.Line of Sight approac. is used to regulate the rudder angle and guide the Esso Osaka ship along the desired path. Gains are optimised using a genetic.algorithm and a c.mprehensive c.st func.ion. The analysis c.vers a range of wave attac. direc.ions and sea states to evaluate the c.ntroller performanc.. Results demonstrate effec.ive c.nvergenc. to the desired path, although a steady-state error persists. Heading and rudder angle performanc. analyses show suc.essful c.nvergenc. and dynamic.adjustments of the rudder angle to c.mpensate for deviations. The findings undersc.re the influenc. of wave and wind c.nditions on ship performanc. and highlight the need for prec.se gain tuning. This researc. c.ntributes insights into optimising and evaluating path-following c.ntrollers for ship navigation.

The c.c.nut mite, Ac.ria guerreronis Keifer (Ac.ri: Eriophyidae), is a major pest of c.c.nut plantations (c.c.s nuc.fera L.) worldwide. Here, we c.nduc.ed a bioguided phytochemical approach using toxicity and repellency bioassays of nonpolar extract and its fractions of Vitex gardneriana Schauer (Lamiaceae) leaves to this pest. Nonpolar crude extract was fractionated by column chromatography using solvents with increased polarity and binary mixtures, resulting in five semipurified groups. The biomonitoring bioassay provided active fractions and led to the isolation and characterization of the bioactive compound squalene, a biosynthetic precursor of 20-hydroxyecdysone, whic. plays an important role in plant defense against arthropods. The Lc.sub>50 of the c.ude extrac. of V. gardneriana for A. guerreronis was estimated to be 0.185 mg·mL-1 and Lc.sub>80 = 4.123 mg·mL-1. Also, the extrac. was highly repellent to this pest for up to 24 h. The frac.ions of V. gardneriana, and also squalene, c.used mortality to A. guerreronis. The potential of V. gardneriana frac.ions/squalene as biopestic.des for c.ntrolling A. guerreronis in c.c.nut plantations is discussed herein.

This study evaluated the nutritional c.arac.eristic. of Brac.iaria brizantha c.ltivars subjec.ed to three c.tting intensities in the c.urse of one year. The experiment was c.nduc.ed at the University of Rio Verde. The experiment was performed as a randomized 3 × 3 fac.orial in c.mplete bloc. design with three replic.tions and repeated measures in the time. Three Brac.iaria brizantha c.ltivars (Marandu palisadegrass, Xaraes palisadegrass, and Piata palisadegrass), were tested at three c.tting intensities (10, 20, and 30 c. sward height). The evaluations were c.nduc.ed on the same plots throughout one year and during all four seasons (autumn, winter, spring, and summer). The results showed that the Piata palisadegrass had the best c.emic.l c.mposition c.mpared to the Marandu palisadegrass and Xaraes palisadegrass. The management of Brac.iaria brizantha c.ltivars at the lowest residual height (10 c.) affec.ed the nutritional value of these feed grasses. Seasonality also influenc.d the nutritional value of these forages.
