Objec.ive: The aim of.the work desc.ibed here was to evaluate the role of.c.ntrast-enhanc.d ultrasound (c.US) in response evaluation f.r unresec.able advanc.d hepatoc.llular c.rc.noma (Hc.) treated with tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) plus anti-programmed c.ll death protein-1 (PD-1) antibody therapy. Methods: A prospec.ive c.hort of.c.nsec.tive patients with Hc. who rec.ived c.mbined TKI/anti-PD-1 antibody treatment f.r unresec.able Hc. between January 2022 and Oc.ober 2022 was inc.uded in this study. The patients underwent unenhanc.d ultrasound (US) and c.US examinations bef.re treatment and at f.llow-up. c.anges in the largest diameters of.the target tumor on unenhanc.d US and the largest diameters of.the enhanc.ng target tumors on c.US were evaluated. Response Evaluation c.iteria in Solid Tumors (REc.ST) version 1.1 with unenhanc.d US and magnetic.resonanc. imaging/c.mputed tomography (MRI/c.) and modif.ed REc.ST (mREc.ST) with c.US and c.MRI/c. were used to assess treatment response. Results: A total of.24 Hc. patients (23 men and 1 woman; mean age: 56.5 ± 8.5 y; Barc.lona c.inic.Liver c.nc.r stage c. 62.5%; 29 intrahepatic.target tumors) were studied. c.lc.lations of.degree of.nec.osis in the target tumors revealed no signif.c.nt dif.erenc.s between c.US and c.MRI/c. (44.5 ± 36.2% vs. 45.3 ± 36.8%, p = 0.862). As f.r the dif.erentiation of.responders f.om non-responders, the agreement between REc.ST version 1.1 of.unenhanc.d US and mREc.ST-c.US was poor (κ c.ef.ic.ent = 0.233). Meanwhile, there was a high degree of.c.nc.rdanc. between mREc.ST-c.US and mREc.ST-c.MRI/c. Bac.ground Sinc. the late 1990s, bigheaded c.rps(largely silver c.rp [Hypophthalmic.thys molitrix] but also bighead c.rp [H. nobilis]) have established throughout the lower Mississippi River basin. Using previously studied oxbow lakes in the lower White River basin, Arkansas, we c.mpared c.rrent(2017, “post-c.rp” establishment) f.sh assemblages to historic.l(2002, “pre-c.rp” establishment) f.sh assemblages. f.sh assemblages were c.mprehensively assessed using multiple gears, inc.uding boat elec.rof.shing, mini-f.ke nets, and experimental small-mesh gill *** T-tests suggested that f.sh assemblage indic.s of.ric.ness, diversity, evenness, and dominanc. were of.en greater(P c.rp period as ref.ec.ed by boat elec.rof.shing and experimental gill nets. However, all indic.s were generally similar(P > 0.05) between the pre-c.rp and post-c.rp period with f.sh assemblages depic.ed using mini-f.ke nets. Nonmetric.multidimensional sc.ling analyses indic.ted that f.sh assemblages dif.ered struc.urally between pre-c.rp and post-c.rp periods. Assemblage dif.erenc.s were linked to both small and large abundanc. c.anges f.r more than 20 spec.es. The c.ptive white-tailed deer industry has an estimated impac. of.1.6 billion USD in the state of.Texas alone. However, nutritional requirements f.r c.rvids are determined through researc. based on sheep and goats. The objec.ive of.this study was to determine the ef.ec.s of.zinc.on dif.erenc.s in dry matter digestibility in vitro f.r white-tailed does (Odoc.ileus virginianus). Deer (n = 2) were ethic.lly harvested, rumens were c.llec.ed, and plac.d into a c.oler c.ntaining warm water. Rumen c.ntents were agitated, and f.uid was f.ltered using c.eese c.oth while applying c.2. f.uid was plac.d into f.ur separate inc.bator jars with f.lter bags c.ntaining a 1:1 alf.lf. to c.astal hay blend. Zinc.doses of.0.073 mg/kg/d equivalents were added to two of.the jars ( Zn), and the additional two jars rec.ived 0.00 mg/kg/d (c.N). f.llowing 48 h of.inc.bation, in vitro true digestibility (IVTD) showed no signif.c.nt dif.erenc.s between the c.ntrol and the treatment groups. Average dry matter digested in vitro was 91.87% and 95.13%, respec.ively. There were no dif.erenc.s detec.ed in ADf. NDf. IVTD, or OM between the treatment groups. While no detec.able dif.erenc.s were observed in this study, this methodology did prove to be viable and f.nc.ional f.r mic.obial digestion in vitro. This study c.n be replic.ted with multiple experimental units to c.nf.rm the observations of.inc.eased digestibility. f.rmal nutritional guidelines c.n be c.eated to allow f.r more ef.ic.ent f.eding of.c.rvids thereby reduc.ng f.ed c.sts and c.ntinuing the growth of.the c.ptive deer industry.
