The antibody repertoire of Bos taurus is characterized by a subset of variable heavy(VH)chain regions with ultralong third complementarity determining regions(cDR3)which,compared to other species,can provide a potent response to challenging antigens like HIV *** unusual cDR3 can range to over seventy highly diverse amino acids in length and form uniqueβ-ribbon‘stalk’and disulfide bonded‘knob’structures,far from the typical antigen binding *** genetic components and processes for forming these unusual cattle antibody VH cDR3 are not well *** we analyze sequences of Bos taurus antibody VH domains and find that the subset with ultralong cDR3 exclusively uses a single variable gene,IGHV1-7(VHBUL)rearranged to the longest diversity gene,*** eight nucleotide duplication at the 3′end of IGHV1-7 encodes a longer V-region producing an extended Fβ-strand that contributes to the stalk in a rearranged cDR3.A low amino acid variability was observed in cDR1 and cDR2,suggesting that antigen binding for this subset most likely only depends on the *** a novel,potentially AID mediated,deletional diversification mechanism of the *** VH ultralong cDR3 knob was discovered,in which interior codons of the IGHD8-2 region are removed while maintaining integral structural components of the knob and descending strand of the stalk in *** deletions serve to further diversify cysteine positions,and thus disulfide bonded ***,both germline and somatic genetic factors and processes appear to be involved in diversification of this structurally unusual cattle VH ultralong cDR3 repertoire.

[背景]评估由于环境空气中细颗粒物（PM2.5）长期暴露引起的疾病负担,需要了解相对风险度（RR）函数的图形和幅度。然而,在世界上很多观察到高PM2.5环境浓度的地方,都缺乏足够的直接证据确定死亡RR函数的图形。[目的]建立可用于全球PM2.5暴露范围内成人死因的RR函数：缺血性心脏病（IHD）、脑血管疾病（脑卒中）、慢性阻塞性肺病（cOPD）和肺癌（Lc）。建立急性下呼吸道感染（ALRI）发病的RR函数,用于估算〈5岁的儿童中死亡率和健康生活损失年数。[方法]通过整合现有的来自于环境空气污染（AAP）、二手烟草烟雾、家用固体烹饪用燃料和主动吸烟（AS）等研究的RR信息,拟合综合暴露-反应（IER）模型。采用颗粒物质的吸入剂量,通过转化AS暴露来估计全年PM2.5的暴露当量。在估算全球环境PM2.5浓度的基础上,得出各国的人群归因分数（PAFs）。[结果]与以往负担评估中使用的其他7种模型相比,IER模型是一种优越的RR预测方法。在不同国家中,归因于AAP暴露的PAF百分数各不相同,分别为：IHD,2~41;脑卒中,1~43;cOPD,〈1~21;Lc,〈1~25;ALRI,〈1~38。[结论]我们建立了一种以细颗粒物为基础的RR模型,它通过整合来自不同类型的燃烧所产生颗粒物排放的RR信息,涵盖全球范围的暴露。当获得新的RR信息时,可以对这个模型进行更新。

Low-world oil prices but supportive government policies provide growing environmental and energy security support favorable for the bioethanol market. The need to generate large and sustainable supply of biomass to make bioethanol will require the development of crops grown specifically for bioenergy production. Given the existing history of genetic improvement and infrastructure available for sorghum, (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) hybrids will be one of the several species dedicated as energy crop and the subject of this study. Texas A & M University Sorghum Breeding Program has developed hybrid sorghum varieties with high protein digestibility and improved starch digestibility. Most of the previous research on grain sorghum focused on the digestibility of sorghum protein from the nutritional point of view. The aim of the current study was to select best sorghum lines from? relatively large and diverse sorghum samples that breeders are currently working with for the development of new low energy input liquefaction, saccharification and fermentation methodologies to produce bioethanol. Limited researches studies report on the performance of sorghum varieties in ethanol fermentation in relation to the protein and starch digestibility of sorghum.

Environmental pollution is escalating due to rapid global development that often prioritizes human needs over planetary *** global efforts to mitigate legacy pollutants,the continuous introduction of new substances remains a major threat to both people and the *** response,global initiatives are focusing on risk assessment and regulation of emerging contaminants,as demonstrated by the ongoing efforts to establish the UN’s Intergovernmental Science-Policy Panel on chemicals,Waste,and Pollution *** review identifies the sources and impacts of emerging contaminants on planetary health,emphasizing the importance of adopting a One Health *** for monitoring and addressing these pollutants are discussed,underscoring the need for robust and socially equitable environmental policies at both regional and international *** actions are needed to transition toward sustainable pollution management practices to safeguard our planet for future generations.
