Due to the researchers’pursuit for bioactive compounds to perform biological activities beneficial for human health,many plants species have been ***,loquat(Eriobotrya japonica),a subtropical plant originated in south-central China and is nowadays cultivated in more than 30 countries across the globe is drawing ***,its leaves and branches are processed into important pharmaceuticals while its fruit(pulp and peel)still remain insufficiently exploited being consumed mainly in *** aim of this work is to conduct a bibliometric survey throughout the Web of Science©(WOS)Main Collection and Dimensions database to highlight and correlate the research that has been carried out on this *** goals are to discover the extent of the research that has already been conducted,from which fields of knowledge the research has been approached,and understand the study trends that point toward future applications in the food *** the data obtained by the up-to-date bibliometric analysis was possible to verify that the plant has been well explored in the medicinal,chemical,and pharmaceutical sector,while the fruit,especially their seed and their starch has been highlighted in the medicinal field or food science but with no extensive industrial *** 112 papers were published regarding the loquat seeds and only 4 studied their by-products which are rich in bioactive compounds and therefore have great potential for food applications.

Background： Natural disturbance is a fundamental component of the functioning of tropical rainforests let to natural dynamics, with tree mortality the driving force of forest renewal. With ongoing global （i.e. land-use and climate） changes, tropical forests are currently facing deep and rapid modifications in disturbance regimes that may hamper their recovering capacity so that developing robust predictive model able to predict ecosystem resilience and recovery becomes of primary importance for decision-making：（i） Do regenerating forests recover faster than mature forests given the same level of disturbance？（ii） is the local topography an important predictor of the post-disturbance forest trajectories？（iii） Is the community functional composition, assessed with community weighted-mean functional traits, a good predictor of carbon stock recovery？（iv） How important is the climate stress （seasonal drought and/or soil water saturation） in shaping the recovery trajectory？ Methods： Paracou is a large scale forest disturbance experiment set up in 1984 with nine 6.25 ha plots spanning on a large disturbance gradient where 15 to 60% of the initial forest ecosystem biomass were removed. More than 70,000 trees belonging to ca. 700 tree species have then been censused every 2 years up today. Using this unique dataset, we aim at deciphering the endogenous （forest structure and composition） and exogenous （local environment and climate stress） drivers of ecosystem recovery in time. To do so, we disentangle carbon recovery into demographic processes （recruitment, growth, mortality fluxes） and cohorts （recruited trees, survivors）. Results： Variations in the pre-disturbance forest structure or in local environment do not shape significantly the ecosystem recovery rates. Variations in the pre-disturbance forest composition and in the post-disturbance climate significantly change the forest recovery trajectory. Rainfall expresses one of the most complex climate factors in Southeastern Brazil. Understanding the dynamics and temporal trends of rainfall represents a significant challenge due to regional and even global mechanisms, such as FS (Frontal Systems) and the SACZ (South Atlantic Convergence Zone), and the interaction with the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. The present study aimed at analyzing the pluviometric tendencies in São Carlos/SP, in the countryside of São Paulo State. Laplace trend test was used to comprehend the temporal evolution of daily rainfall in the region in the historical series 1979-2017, in seven pluviometric stations (climatological or surface stations). Significant fluctuations in interannual trends and between seasons were observed. However, it was noted that the beginning of the 1980s showed positive trends, whereas, as of the year 2000, most of the stations demonstrated negative trends, indicating a reduction in daily rainfall volume due to the great tropical climatic variability of Brazil. Emphasis should also be given to the regional and local effects, such as elevation and urbanization, respectively, which corroborate such differences among the analyzed stations. This methodology is of considerable value for the observation of pluviometric trends, and future studies can validate such a tool in climatological studies.

A factorial experimental design was combined with response surface methodology(RSM) to opti-mize the catalyzed CO2 consumption by coke deposition and syngas production during the dry re-forming of CH4. The CH4 /CO2 feed ratio and the reaction temperature were chosen as the variables, and the selected responses were CH4 and CO2 conversion, the H2 /CO ratio, and coke deposition. The optimal reaction conditions were found to be a CH4 /CO2 feed ratio of approximately 3 at 700 °C, producing a large quantity of coke and realizing high CO2 conversion. Furthermore, Raman results showed that the CH4 /CO2 ratio and reaction temperature affect the system's response, particularly the characteristics of the coke produced, which indicates the formation of carbon nanotubes and amorphous carbon.

The most recent information on fascial tissue indicates that there are not fascial layers, but polyhedral microvacuoles of connective tissue, which connect the body systems and, by hosting specialized cells, permit several functions, such as motor, nervous, vascular and visceral. These microvacuoles（a repetition of polyhedral units of connective fibrils） under internal or external tension change shape and can manage the movement variations, regulating different body functions and ensuring the maintenance of efficiency of the body systems. Their plasticity is based on perfect functional chaos： it is not possible to determine the motion vectors of the different fibrils, which differ in behavior and orientation; this strategy confers to the fascial continuum the maximum level of adaptability in response to the changing internal and external conditions of the cell. The present commentary deals with this concept, providing clinical examples of different disease patterns, providing contrary examples in which this adaptability does not occur, and lastly suggesting considerations for the approach to manipulative therapy of the fascial tissue. The fascial continuum is like a flock of birds flying together without a predetermined logic and maintaining their individuality at the same time.

Fragility curves are commonly used in civil engineering to assess the vulnerability of structures to earthquakes. The probability of failure associated with a prescribed criterion （e.g., the maximal inter-storey drift of a building exceeding a certain threshold） is represented as a function of the intensity of the earthquake ground motion （e.g., peak ground acceleration or spectral acceleration）. The classical approach relies on assuming a lognormal shape of the fragility curves; it is thus parametric. In this paper, we introduce two non-parametric approaches to establish the fragility curves without employing the above assumption, namely binned Monte Carlo simulation and kernel density estimation. As an illustration, we compute the fragility curves for a three-storey steel frame using a large number of synthetic ground motions. The curves obtained with the non-parametric approaches are compared with respective curves based on the lognormal assumption. A similar comparison is presented for a case when a limited number of recorded ground motions is available. It is found that the accuracy of the lognormal curves depends on the ground motion intensity measure, the failure criterion and most importantly, on the employed method for estimating the parameters of the lognormal shape.
