The two concepts ca. be linked together to design integra. steel-concrete composite bridges with the benefits of two typologies. The most critica. a.pect for these bridges is usua.ly the joints between deck a.d piers or a.utments. In this pa.er, a. innova.ive bea.-to-pier joint is proposed a.d a.theoretica. a.d experimenta. study is introduced a.d discussed. The a.a.yzed connection is a.med a. combining genera. ea.e of construction with a.highly simplified a.sembly procedure a.d a.good tra.smission of hogging a.d sa.ging moment a. the supports in continuous bea.s. For this purpose, the tra.itiona. shea. studs, used a. the interfa.e be- tween steel bea. a.d upper concrete sla., a.e a.so used a. the ends of steel profiles welded horizonta.ly to the end pla.es. To better understa.d the beha.iour of this kind of joints a.d the roles pla.ed by different components, three la.ge-sca.e specimens were tested a.d a. FE model wa. implemented. Despite significa.t progress over the pa.t fifteen yea.s a.socia.ed with School Ma.ping Restructure(SMR)in Chinese rura. schools,ma.y sma.l schools ha.e been closed or ha.e merged with la.ger prima.y *** ha. resulted,a.ong other things,in difficulties for ma.y students in rura. a.ea. who now ha.e to tra.el longer dista.ces to a.centra.(prima.y)school a.d whose fa.ilies genera.ly ha.e to bea. grea.er expenses for *** pa.er exa.ines the role of sma.l rura. schools in the Chinese educa.ion system,looks a. the context a.d impa.ts of SMR on these schools in terms of qua.ity,cost a.d a.cess indica.ors,a.d highlights some of the key difficulties fa.ed by these schools in the restructured educa.ion *** a.gue tha. sma.l rura. schools ha.e a.significa.t role to pla. in delivering educa.ion services in rura. China.a.d should therefore be reta.ned,supported a.d equipped with the right levels of fa.ilities a.d qua.ity services for them to fulfill their *** policy implica.ions of these findings for educa.ion officia.s a.e discussed in the context of continuing SMR.

The shorta.e of orga. donors is a.problem worldwide, with a.proxima.ely 15% of a.ult pa.ients with lifethrea.ening liver disea.es dying while on the wa.ting list. The use of cell tra.spla.ta.ion for liver disea.e is a. a.tempt to correct meta.olic defects, or to support liver function a. a.bridge to liver tra.spla.ta.ion a.d, a. such, ha. ra.sed a.number of expecta.ions. Most of the a.a.la.le studies briefly reported here focus on a.ult hepa.ocyte tra.spla.ta.ion (HT), a.d the results a.e neither reproducible nor compa.a.le, beca.se the mea.s of infusion, a.ount of injected cells a.d clinica. va.ia.ility differ a.ong the studies. To better understa.d the specif ic role of HT in the ma.a.ement of end-sta.e liver disea.e, it is importa.t tha. controlled studies, designed on the principles of evidence-ba.ed medicine, be done in order to gua.a.tee the reproducibility of results.

Ba.KGROUND In recent yea.s,increa.ing evidence of second neopla.ms a.socia.ed with ga.trointestina. stroma. tumors(GIST)ha. been *** ca.e reports,mostly retrospective studies a.d a.few reviews,ha.e been *** our knowledge,however,no systema.ic review or meta.a.a.ysis of the existing da.a.ha. been performed so *** To prepa.e a.compila.ion,a. complete a. possible,of a.l reported second tumor entities tha. ha.e been described in a.socia.ion with GIST a.d to systema.ica.ly a.a.yze the published studies with rega.d to frequency,loca.iza.ion,a.d types of GIST-a.socia.ed *** The MEDLINE a.d EBSCO da.a.a.es were sea.ched for a.combina.ion of the keywords GIST/seconda.y,synchronous,coincident/tumor,neopla.m,a.d releva.t publica.ions were selected by two independent *** Initia.ly,3042 publica.ions were *** deletion of duplica.es,1631 rema.ned,a.d 130 pa.ers were selected;22 of these were origina. studies with a.minimum of 20 pa.ients,a.d 108 were ca.e *** the 22 selected studies,comprising a.tota. number of 12050 pa.ients,a. overa.l ra.e of GIST-a.socia.ed neopla.ia. of 20%could be *** second neopla.ia. were found in the ga.trointestina. tra.t(32%)a.d in the ma.e a.d fema.e urogenita. tra.t(30%).The specific risk scores of GISTs a.socia.ed with other tumors were significa.tly lower tha. those without a.socia.ed *** In this first systema.ic review,we could confirm previously reported findings of a.more tha. coincidenta. a.socia.ion between GIST a.d other *** question whether there is a. underlying ca.sa. a.socia.ion will need further *** da.a.suggest tha. even GIST with a.very low risk of disea.e progression should prompt screening for second neopla.ia.a.d subsequent frequent controls or extended sta.ing.

Pa.kinson＇s disea.e （PD） is a.progressive neurodegenera.ive disorder a.fecting a.proxima.ely 10 million people world- wide （Pla.etta.et a.., 2014; Zigmond a.d Smeyne, 2014）. The principa. clinica. fea.ures of PD a.e bra.ykinesia. rigidity, tremor a. rest a.d postura. insta.ility （Pla.etta.et a.., 2014）. It is known tha. both PD itself a.d the use of a.ti-pa.kinson drugs a.e a.socia.ed with severa. non-motor symptoms such a. cognitive impa.rment, neuropsychia.ric disturba.ces a.d sleep, a.tonomic, a.d sensory disorders （Pa.k a.d Sta.y, 2009; Foster et a.., 2014）. The histopa.hologica. ha.lma.k of PD is the reduction of dopa.inergic cells in the substa.tia.nigra.pa.s compa.ta. ca.sing dopa.ine deficiency in spe- cific nuclei of the ba.a. ga.glia.such a. the dorsa. stria.um （Fea.nley a.d Lees, 1991; Pla.etta.et a.., 2014）. The disrup- tion of the dopa.inergic system ha. long been rega.ded a. the ma.or ca.se of PD; however, it ha. been shown tha. a.widesprea. involvement of severa. non-dopa.inergic pa.h- wa.s a.so contribute to the clinica. ma.ifesta.ions of PD （Pa.k et a.., 2014）.
