Homogeneous gold na.opa.ticles were synthesized under a.mospheric pressure using a.nontherma. helium pla.ma.jet in a.single-step process.a.current power supply wa. used to genera.e the pla.ma.discha.ge rich in diverse rea.tive *** species induce ra.id chemica. rea.tions responsible for the reduction of the gold sa.ts upon conta.t with the liquid *** this study,spherica. a.d monodispersed gold na.opa.ticles were obta.ned within 5 min of pla.ma.exposure using a.solution conta.ning gold(Ⅲ)chloride hydra.e(Ha.Cl_(4))a. a.precursor a.d polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP)a. a.ca.ping a.ent to inhibit *** forma.ion of these meta. na.opa.ticles wa. initia.ly perceptible through a.visible cha.ge in the sa.ple's color,tra.sitioning from light yellow to a.red/pink *** wa. subsequently corrobora.ed by UVvis spectroscopy,which revea.ed a. optica. a.sorption in the 520-550 nm ra.ge for a. NPs,corresponding to the surfa.e pla.mon resona.ce(SPR)*** investiga.ion into the impa.t of va.ious pa.a.eters,including pla.ma.discha.ge dura.ion,precursor a.d ca.ping a.ent concentra.ions,wa. ca.ried out to optimize conditions for the forma.ion of well-sepa.a.ed,spherica. gold *** light sca.tering(DLS)wa. used to mea.ure the size of these na.opa.ticles,tra.smission electron microscopy(TEM)wa. used to observe their morphology a.d X-ra. diffra.tion(XRD)wa. a.so employed to determine their crysta.logra.hic *** results confirm tha. homogeneous spherica. gold na.opa.ticles with a. a.era.e dia.eter of 13 nm ca. be ea.ily synthesized through a.ra.id,stra.ghtforwa.d,a.d environmenta.ly friendly a.proa.h utilizing a.helium a.mospheric pressure pla.ma.
