To ensure smooth and reliable operations of battery systems,reliable prognosis with accurate prediction of State of Health of lithium ion batteries is of utmost ***,battery degradation is a complex challenge involving many electrochemical reactions at anode,separator,cathode and electrolyte/electrode ***,there is significant effect of the operating conditions on the battery *** machine learning tech-niques have been applied to estimate the capacity and State of Health of lithium ion batteries to ensure reliable operation and timely *** this paper,we study the Gaussian Process Regression(GPR)and Support Vector machine(SVm)model-based approaches in estimating the capacity and State of Health of ***-tery capacity and State of Health estimations are carried out using GPR and SVm models and the predictions comparatively studied for accuracy based on RmSE *** prediction accuracy is further compared with re-spect to single sensor and multi sensor ***,a combined multi battery data set model is used to improve the prediction *** the data of multiple batteries with similar operating conditions for training a model resulted in higher prediction accuracy.

Liver resection still represent the treatment of choice for liver malignancies,but in some cases inadequate future remnant liver(FRL)can lead to post hepatectomy liver failure(PHLF)that still represents the most common cause of death after *** strategies in recent era have been developed in order to generate a compensatory hypertrophy of the FRL,reducing the risk of post hepatectomy liver *** vein embolization,portal vein ligation,and ALLPS are the most popular techniques historically adopted up to *** liver venous deprivation and the radio-embolization are the most recent promising *** even more precise tools to calculate the relationship among volume and function,such as scintigraphy with^(99m)Tc-mebrofenin(HBS),no consensus is still available to define which of the above mentioned augmentation strategy is more adequate in terms of kind of surgery,complexity of the pathology and quality of liver *** aim of this article is to analyse these different strategies to achieve sufficient FRL.

Shortcomings of the Boltzmann physical kinetics are considered. Boltzmann equation is only plausible equation. The cosequences originated from this fact are considered in the different fields of theoretical physics from the point of view of nonlocal physics. Namely: main principles of nonlocal physics;generalized hydrodynamic equations;magnetic field evolution in the superconductor of the second type;Hubble expansion;special theory of relativity;the problem of the interaction of matter (m) with physical vacuum (PV) is considered including the PV—m energy exchange. Application nonlocal physics to the problem of the dark matter existence—dark matter does not exist, analytical investigation.

Near-infrared stimulated emission from a high-quality InN layer under optical pumping was observed with a threshold excitation power density of 0.3 and 4 kW cm^(−2) at T=8 and 77 K,*** achieve such a low threshold power density,vicinal GaN substrates were used to reduce the edge-component threading dislocation(ETD)density of the InN ***-sectional transmission electron microscopy images reveal that the annihilation of ETDs can be divided into two steps,and the ETD density can be reduced to approximately 5×10^(8) cm^(−2) near the surface of the 5-μm-thick *** well-resolved phonon replica of the band-to-band emission in the photoluminescence spectra at 9 K confirm the high quality of the InN *** a result,the feasibility of InN-based photonic structures and the underlying physics of their growth and emission properties are demonstrated.

The present work deals on one hand with the valorization of wastes plastics, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and Canarium schweinfurthii (CS) for the preparation of polyethylene terephthalate activated carbon (PETAC) and Canarium schweinfurthii/polyethylene terephthalate activated carbon (CS/PETAC). These adsorbents, on the other hand, were used for removal Rhodamine B (RhB) in an aqueous solution. PET and CS precursors were subjected to thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning colorimetry (DSC). meanwhile PETAC and CS/PETAC were characterized using scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive spectrometry (SEm-EDS), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and nitrogen adsorption/desorption (N2-BET). The N2-BET results revealed an increase of the specific surface area from 6.75 m2/g to 1282.0 m2/g for PETAC and CS/PETAC. The results of characterization indicated the key role played by plastic wastes to enhance the structural and functional properties of CS/PETAC. The RhB removal from the aqueous solution onto PETAC and CS/PETAC was found to be independent of pH, with an optimal contact time of RhB removal within 10 min for materials. The non-linear adsorption isotherm data for the adsorption process showed that the Langmuir and Freundlich models best fitted the RhB adsorption onto PETAC meanwhile only the Freundlich adsorption isotherm gave the best fit for CS/PETAC according to the correlation coefficient value closed to unity. The pseudo-first and pseudo-second-order kinetic models best described the RhB dye removal on both adsorbents. Additionally, the Elovich model confirmed that chemisorption was the main mechanism followed. These findings proved that CS seeds and PET wastes are low-cost precursors that should be given an added value by transforming them into an outstanding carbon material for dye removal in liquid effluent.

We develop a method for creating two- and one-dimensional （2D and 1D） self-trapped modes in bi- nary spin-orbit-coupled Bose-Einstein condensates with the contact repulsive interaction, whose local strength grows sufficiently rapidly from the center to the periphery. In particular, an exact semi-vortex （SV） solution is found for the anti-Gaussian radial modulation profile. The exact modes are included in the numerically produced family of SV solitons. Other families, in the form of mixed modes （mms）, as well as excited states of SVs and mms, are also produced. Although the excited states are unstable in all previously studied models, they are partially stable in the present one. In the 1D version of the system, exact solutions for the counterpart of SVs, namely, semi-dipole solitons, are also found. Families of semi-dipoles, as well as the 1D version of mms, are produced numerically.

Crohn's disease(CD) is a chronic remittent idiopathic disease. Although the early phase of the disease is commonly characterized by inflammation-driven symptoms, such as diarrhea, the frequency of fibrostenotic complications in patients with CD increases over the long-term course of the disease. This review presents the current diagnostic options for assessing CD-associated strictures. In addition to the endoscopic evaluation of CD strictures, this review summarizes the currently available imaging modalities, including ultrasound and cross-sectional imaging techniques. In addition to stricture detection, differentiating between the primarily inflammatory strictures and the predominantly fibrotic ones is essential for selecting the appropriate treatment strategy(anti-inflammatory medical treatment vs endoscopical or surgical approaches). Therefore, recent imaging advances, such as contrast-enhanced ultrasound and ultrasound elastography, contribute to the development of noninvasive non-radiating imaging of CD-associated strictures. Finally, novel magnetic resonance imaging techniques, such as diffusion-weighted, motility and magnetization transfer imaging, as well as 18F-FDG PET/CT, molecular imaging approaches and biomarkers, are critically reviewed with regard to their potential role in assessing stricturing CD.

Introduction: Pregnancy is a physiological condition that can sometimes end in death. The death of a woman is a constant concern for the obstetrician and is considered a major public health problem in our developing countries. Objective: To identify the determinants that contribute to maternal morbidity and mortality in the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Department of the University Community Hospital. methodology: We conducted a retrospective study from 1 January 2015 to 31 December 2019 (5 years) in the obstetrics and gynaecology department of the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Communautaire (CHUC). It focused on the determinants of maternal mortality. Our study population consisted of all women who died during the period and met the World Health Organization (WHO) definition of maternal mortality (mOmA). We used non-probability sampling with the exhaustive choice technique. Results: The study revealed that the number of deaths recorded was 98, while 17,172 live births were registered during the same period. The maternal mortality ratio was 570 per 100,000 live births. The most common age group was 20 to 24, with an average age of 26. The frequency of death among primiparous women was 37.74%, pauciparous women 28.30% and multiparous women 26.42%. Direct causes were dominated by abortion complications (22.41%), followed by infections (9.30%) and haemorrhage (8.19%). Indirect causes were dominated by anaemia with a proportion of 45.16%. The majority of maternal deaths occurred in the post-partum period (34.71%). most maternal deaths occurred after vaginal delivery, 19 cases (63.33%), while 11 deaths (36.66%) occurred after caesarean section. The occurrence of direct causes was associated with age less than or equal to 25 years, abortion complications and primiparity, with a statistically significant difference. Conclusion: At the end of this study, complications of unsafe abortion and poverty are all factors contributing to the rise in the maternal mortality rate. Emp
