We investigate an excellent refrigeration capacity𝑆Rc𝑑of Gd_(55)Al_(20)Ni_(12)Co_(10)Mn_(3)bulk metallic glass(BMG).The Gd_(55)Al_(20)Ni_(12)Co_(10)Mn_(3)glassy rod is subjected to Cu mold suction-casting to prepare bulky metallic glasses,with a diameter of *** glass forming ability as well as the magnetic properties of the BMG is *** BMG exhibits a rather high glass formation ability with critical diameter of about *** peak value of magnetic entropy change of about 8J·kg^(−1)K^(−1)is obtained in this *** BMG alloy also exhibits excellent magnetic refrigerant capacity of about 880J·kg^(−1)under the field of 5T and 35%larger than that of other alloys reported previously,supposed to be closely related to the high effective moment(∼7.3μB)of the Gd 55 Al_(20)Ni_(12)Co_(10)Mn_(3)BMG.

Objective To evaluate the expression of telomerase transcriptional elements-interacting factor （TEIF） in human testis under different status and its relation with human telomerase reverse transcriptase （hTERT） expression. Methods Specific antisera against TEIF were generated by immunization of rabbits with purified recombinated partial TEIF. Samples were assigned to three groups according to their pathological types, including 16 normal testes, 8 atrophic testes, and 6 testicular seminomas. They were subjected to immunohistochemical staining of TEIF and hTERT. Results from both TEIF and hTERT were analyzed semi-quantitatively and compared. The expressions of TEIF and hTERT were detected in all samples of normal, atrophic testes, and seminomas. No differences of TEIF expressions among these three groups were observed （P 〉 0.05）. On the contrary, the expressions of hTERT were significantly lower in atrophic testes compared with those of normal testes and seminomas （both P 〈 0.05）. Nevertheless, co-expressions of TEIF with hTERT were revealed to be in normal and malignant cases （P 〈 0.05） but not in atrophic testes, which generally presented TEIF expression. The cellular distributions of both proteins were similar and mainly in spermatocytes and some Sertoli cells, while were all negative in the interstitial cells and other stromal cells. Conclusion The uniform expressions of TEIF in all these specimens suggest that it may be a marker of testis and its related diseases. The strong expression of hTERT in normal testes and testicular seminomas comparing with the low expression in atrophic testes may suggest a role for telomerase in maintaining proliferation of germ cells.

Batch to batch temperature control of a semi-batch chemical reactor with heating/cooling system was discussed in this study. Without extensive modeling investigations, a two-dimensional(2D) general predictive iterative learning control(2D-MGPILC) strategy based on the multi-model with time-varying weights was introduced for optimizing the tracking performance of desired temperature profile. This strategy was modeled based on an iterative learning control(ILC) algorithm for a 2D system and designed in the generalized predictive control(GPC) framework. Firstly, a multi-model structure with time-varying weights was developed to describe the complex operation of a general semi-batch reactor. Secondly, the 2 D-MGPILC algorithm was proposed to optimize simultaneously the dynamic performance along the time and batch axes. Finally, simulation for the controller design of a semi-batch reactor with multiple reactions was involved to demonstrate that the satisfactory performance could be achieved despite of the repetitive or non-repetitive disturbances.

Objective:To identify the anti-depressive effect of ferulic acid(FA)in mice exposed to lipopolysaccharide(LPS)and explore its molecular ***:The mice were divided into 5 groups as follows:Control,LPS,LPS+SP,LPS+FA,and LPS+FA+*** LPS+FA and LPS+FA+anisomycin groups were administered with FA(100 mg/kg,i.p.)once daily continuously for 7 days,and the other groups received an equivalent volume of *** the 7 th day,LPS(0.1 mg/m L,i.p.)was injected in all mice except the control group 30 min after FA or saline *** LPS+SP and LPS+FA+anisomycin groups were intravenously administered with SP600125[c-Jun N-terminal kinase(JNK)inhibitor](100μL/site,i.v.)and anisomycin(JNK activator)(100μL/site,i.v.)15 min before LPS,*** depressive behaviors were assessed by open field test,sucrose preference test,and forced swimming test at 24 h post-LPS *** necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and interleukin-1β(IL-1β)levels in plasma were measured by *** levels of phospho-JNK,TNF-α,IL-1β,Bcl-2,Bax,cytochrome c and caspase-3 were evaluated by Western ***:FA alleviated depression symptoms caused by LPS in mice,including increasing sucrose water consumption in sucrose preference test and reducing the immobility time in forced swimming *** could inhibit upregulated levels of phospho-JNK,TNF-α,and IL-1β.FA also markedly decreased Bax,caspase-3,and cytochrome c,and increased Bcl-2 ***,SP600125 showed neuroprotective effect similar to FA which was attenuated by ***:FA attenuates inflammation and apoptosis by inhibiting LPS-induced activation of JNK to alleviate depressionlike behaviors.

The performance of a LOCOS-isolated SOI MOSFET heavily depends on its back-gate characteristic, which can be affected by back-gate stress.A large voltage stress was applied to the back gate of SOI devices for at least 30 s at room temperature,which could effectively modify the back-gate threshold voltage of these devices. This modification is stable and time *** order to improve the back-gate threshold voltage,positive substrate bias was applied to NMOS devices and negative substrate bias was applied to PMOS *** results suggest that there is a leakage path between source and drain along the silicon island edge,and the application of large backgate bias with the source,drain and gate grounded can strongly affect this leakage *** we draw the conclusion that the back-gate threshold voltage,which is directly related to the leakage current,can be influenced by back-gate stress.

Spectrum auction is one of the most effective ways to achieve dynamic spectrum allocation in cognitive radio net-works,and it provides one effective way to manage the spectrum demands of IoT devices with limited *** spectrum auctions focus on protecting bidder privacy and achieving excellent social efficiency,but few tackles the verification of auction results that are controlled by the *** this paper,we propose a cloud-based framework for verifiable privacy-preserving spectrum *** framework adopts a modified AFGH re-encryption algorithm that achieves both bid privacy protection and auction results verification at the same *** cloud server helps to compute auction results based on homomorphic encryption,and an auctioneer decrypts the encrypted data from the server to obtain auction ***,the property of re-encryption makes it possible for any bidder to verify the auction results without compromising other bidders’privacy.

In order to solve the non-linear and high-dimensional optimization problems more effectively, an improved self-adaptive membrane computing(ISMC) optimization algorithm was proposed. The proposed ISMC algorithm applied improved self-adaptive crossover and mutation formulae that can provide appropriate crossover operator and mutation operator based on different functions of the objects and the number of iterations. The performance of ISMC was tested by the benchmark functions. The simulation results for residue hydrogenating kinetics model parameter estimation show that the proposed method is superior to the traditional intelligent algorithms in terms of convergence accuracy and stability in solving the complex parameter optimization problems.

The phosphomannose isomerase （PMI） gene from Saccharomyces cerevisiae acted as selectable marker and mannose acted as selective agent for the production of transgenic plants of rice （Oryza sativa L.） via Agrobacterium-mediated transformation. The concentration of mannose during the selection was stepwise increased, 5 g L-1 mannose combined with 15 g L-1 sucrose and 500 mg L-1 cefotaxime was used in the initial selection stage, then the concentration of mannose was increased to 11 g L-1, the highest transformation rate was 20.0%. The integration of PMI gene was confirmed by PCR, and the result of RT-PCR assay proved that the intron of PMI gene can be excised correctly during RNA splicing. 13- Glucuronidase （GUS） activity analysis confirmed the expression of GUS gene. All those means the PMI gene from yeast can be used as a selectable marker in rice transformation.
