Background: The trigger finger, also known as stenosing tenosy.ovitis of the flexor tendon, is a common cause of hand disability.This can result in significant limitations in certain daily.living activities. It is possible to treat this condition with conservative or surgical methods. Methods: This is a retrospective, observational, cross-sectional and descriptive study. The source population consisted of all patients with a diagnosis of trigger finger who had been treated in the department of plastic and reconstructive surgery.of our institution between 2020 and 2023. The primary.objective of this study.is to determine the prevalence and characterize the clinical and surgical characteristics of the population affected by.trigger finger in our hospital. Results: The total population was 237 patients, of which 165 were women (70%) and 72 men (30%). The most affected hand was the right hand, with a total of 158 patients (67%). In the right hand, the middle finger was the most affected (45%). Of the 237 patients, 80 of them had obesity.(34%), 86 had ty.e 2 diabetes mellitus (36%), 95 had sy.temic arterial hy.ertension (40%). Open technique was performed in 190 (80%) patients, while percutaneous technique was performed in 47 (20%) of them. Conclusion: The female sex was twice as frequent, and the middle finger and thumb were the most affected. Most of the patients received surgical treatment with open approach and percutaneous approach in 20% of them.

Real-time interventional MRI（I-MRI）would be very.helpful to track the position of the surgical device during MR-guided *** would improve the patient ***,in deep brain stimulation（DBs）,the visualization of the surgical procedure in real-time using I-MRI could improve the accuracy.of the electrode ***,the reconstruction of interventional images using high undersampling rate and fast reconstruction speed for real-time imaging pose a great *** proposed a feature-based convolutional neural network（FbCNN）for reconstructing for reconstructing interventional images from golden-angle radially.sampled data,based on recent advances in deep learning（DL）.The reconstruction is composed of two steps: 1)reconstruction of the interventional feature;2)feature refinement and *** showed that the interventional feature can be reconstructed with a cascade CNN,using an undersampling of only.5 radially.sampled *** obtained a final interventional image from a refined feature and a fully.sampled reference *** was compared with traditional reconstruction techniques and recent DL-based method,and it was shown that only.FbCNN could reconstruct the interventional feature and the final interventional ***,FbCNN demonstrated that had the potential in real-time I-MRI applications with a reconstruction time of ～500ms per frame and an acceleration factor of ～80.

Comparison of clinical outcomes between unrelated single umbilical cord blood and"ex-vivo"T-cell depleted haploidentical transplantation in children with hematological malignancies

Background Over the last two decades,umbilical cord blood(UCB)and haploidentical transplantation(HaploHsCT)have emerged as alternative sources of hematopoietic stem cell for allogeneic *** are few retrospective studies and no prospective studies comparing both ty.es of alternative transplantation in pediatric *** We analy.ed the data of 134 children with hematological malignancies who received a hematopoietic stem cell transplantation from a single umbilical cord blood(UCB)(n=42)or an"tex-vivo"T-cell depleted transplant from a haploi-dentical-related donor(HaploHsCT)(n=92)between 1996 and *** recovery.was faster after HaploHsCT than the UCB transplant group(median times to neutrophil and platelet recovery.13 vs.16 day.,10 vs.57 day.,respectively.(PsCT group had a significantly.early.immune reconstitution based on NK and CD8+T cells compared with the UCB ***,after the first y.ar *** had a lower number of CD4+ T and B ly.phocy.es compared with the UCB transplant *** cumulative incidence of TRM was 29±8%in the HaploHsCT group versus 40±5%in the UCB *** incidence was 21±7%in the HaploHsCT group and 19±8%in the UCB *** of DFs was 58±8%in the HaploHsCT group versus 40±9%in the UCB group(P=0.051).Conclusions TCD haploidentical transplant is associated with advantages in terms of engraftment and early.immune reconstitution *** haploidentical transplant was associated with lower incidence of infectious and non-infectious complications,especially.in the early.phases of the transplant compared with UCB transplant ***,there are no advantages in transplant outcomes compared with UCB transplant.

Qigong improves balance in y.ung women: a pilot study

BACKGROUND： Balance problems are common in people of all ages and can lead to falls, thus causing fractures with consequent disability. Qigong practice has long been part of daily.life in Chinese culture, and has good effects on phy.ical health maintenance. OBJECTIVE： The present work describes the change in balance in y.ung, healthy.women after practising Qigong for eight weeks. DEsIGN, sETTING, PARTICIPANTs AND INTERVENTIONs： The study.took the form of a controlled, randomised longitudinal trial, and involved 30 women aged 18-25 y.ars. The subjects had no prior experience of Qigong or Tai Chi and were unaware of the aims of the study. subjects were randomly.assigned to a Qigong intervention group or a control group. Those in the Qigong intervention group performed ＂exercises in 20 figures for health and long-life＂（Wang Ziping） for 1 h twice per week, for 4 weeks. The control group undertook no exercise at all. MAIN OUTCOME MEAsUREs： The main outcome measure was the stabilometry.values. These were obtained in a unipodal support test, using a plantar pressure platform with optical sensors. REsULTs： The Qigong subjects showed a significant improvement in their stabilometry.results （40.1% pre-intervention and 56.4% post-intervention）（P〈0.045）, while no improvement was seen in the control group （51.2% pre-intervention and 53.5% post-intervention）. At the beginning of the intervention, the stabilometry.values recorded for the Qigong intervention group were worse than those recorded for the control group （40.15% and 51.21% respectively. P=0.121）. However, a comparison of the post-intervention values between these groups showed that these differences have disappeared （P=0.653）. CONCLUsION： Qigong can improve balance in healthy. y.ung women.
