Detection of green apples in natural scenes based on saliency theory and Gaussian curve fitting

Green apple targets are difficult to identify for having similar color with backgrounds such as *** primary goal of this study was to detect green apples in natural scenes by applying saliency detection and Gaussian curve fitting ***,the image was represented as a close-loop graph with superpixels as *** nodes were ranked based on the similarity to background and foreground queries to generate the final saliency ***,Gaussian curve fitting was carried out to fit the V-component in YUV color space in salient areas,and a threshold was selected to binarize the *** verify the validity of the proposed algorithm,55 images were selected and compared with the common used image segmentation algorithms such as k-means clustering algorithm and FCM(Fuzzy C-means clustering algorithm).Four parameters including recognition ratio,FPR(false positive rate),FNR(false negative rate)and FDR(false detection rate)were used to evaluate the results,which were 91.84%,1.36%,8.16%and 4.22%,*** results indicated that it was effective and feasible to apply this method to the detection of green apples in nature scenes.

We discuss remote-sensing-image fusion based on a multi-band wavelet and RGB feature fusion method. The fused data can be used to monitor the dynamic evolution of mining induced subsidence. High resolution panchromatic image data and multi-spectral image data were first decomposed with a multi-ary wavelet method. Then the high frequency components of the high resolution image were fused with the features from the R, G, B bands of the multi-spectral image to form a new high frequency component. Then the newly formed high frequency component and the low frequency component were inversely transformed using a multi-ary wavelet method. Finally, color images were formed from the newly formed R, G, B bands. In our experiment we used images with a resolution of 10 m (SPOT), and TM30 images, of the Huainan mining area. These images were fused with a trinary wavelet method. In addition, we used four indexes—entropy, average gradient, wavelet energy and spectral distortion—to assess the new method. The result indicates that this new method can improve the clarity and resolution of the images and also preserves the information from the original images. Using the fused images for monitoring mining induced subsidence achieves a good effect.

This paper addresses the generalized linear complementarity problem （GLCP） over a polyhedral cone. To solve the problem, we first equivalently convert the problem into an affine variational inequalities problem over a closed polyhedral cone, and then propose a new type of method to solve the GLCP based on the error bound estimation. The global and R-linear convergence rate is established. The numerical experiments show the efficiency of the method.

We investigated the relationship between oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)activity and the pyrolysis temperature(650-850℃)of CuPc in alkaline *** highly active sites were formed through the decomposition of CuPc or Cu-N_(4) structure after releasing ***-Nx incorporated with carbon were the main active *** XPS measurement results show that,at lower temperature,the contents of pyridinic-N and pyrrolic-N account for the most of the total *** the temperature is higher than 750℃,the content of graphitic N(26.11%)increases and pyridinic-N(58.81%)becomes the dominant *** the temperature is higher than 850℃,the content of graphitic N increases remarkably and becomes the dominant ***,the specific surface areas decrease with increased pyrolysis *** from the synergistic effect,the pyrolysis temperature at 750℃of CuPc displays superior electrocatalytic *** obtained results reveal that the fabricated non-noble metal catalysts can be used as low-cost,efficient catalyst for water splitting ORR in metal-air batteries and fuel cells.

A Method for Measuring the Structure Complexity of Web Application

The precise and effective measure results of Web applications not only facilitate good comprehension of them, but also benefit to the macro-management of software activities, such as testing, reverse engineering, reuse, etc. The paper exploits some researches on measuring the structure complexity of Web application. Through a deep analysis of the configuration and objects＇ interactions of Web system, two conclusions have been drawn：① A generic Web application consists of static web page, dynamic page, component and database object; ② The main interactions have only three styles, that is static link, dynamic link and call/return relation. Based on analysis and modeling of the content of a Web page （static or dynamic）, complexity measure methods of both control logic of script and nesting of HTML code are further discussed. In addition, two methods for measuring the complexity of inte〉page navigation are also addressed by modeling the inte〉page navigation behaviors of Web application via WNG graph.

Actuation Delay-Time Estimation with Imaging Fuze

Generally,Doppler fuze can only estimate actuation delay-time with a limited precision. As an improvement,imaging fuze can estimate actuation delay-time more precisely with the available two-dimensional image of the target. In this paper,imprecision of actuation delay-time estimation with Doppler fuze is first analyzed theoretically in brief. Secondly,feasibility analysis and theoretical model of imaging fuze are described,in which a criterion is established for the actuation delay-time based on the image,and then an image based gray-value weighted least square（ GWLS） algorithm is presented to calculate actuation delay-time of the imaging fuze. Finally,a simulation model of missiletarget near-field encounter is established. Simulation results indicate that actuation delay-time of the imaging fuze is estimated more precisely than by the Doppler fuze.

The multidisciplinary design optimization(MDO)approach is very crucial for the conceptual design of the aircraft,and this is due to the complex interaction between different disciplines, especially for the hypersonic vehicle. In the hypersonic vehicle, the airframe and the engine are highly integrated. In the current survey, the research progress in the MDO approach has been reviewed comprehensively from four primary techniques, namely the design of experiments, the surrogate modeling, the optimization method and the MDO framework, and its application to the aerospace engineering has been summarized from its category as well. The concurrent subspace optimization approach is the most popular method in the aerospace engineering for its easy implementation, and following is the collaborative optimization approach. The multi-level optimization approach has attracted a growing attention due to its high efficiency. In conclusion, some promising research recommendations have been put forward, namely the combination of the low- and high-fidelity optimization approaches, the consideration of the uncertainty analysis and the MDO approach coupled with the data mining techniques.
