The present study aimed to describe the characteristics of auditory abnormalities present in cases of autism. One hundred and fifty six children with autism and 141matched controls with language delay were investigated via direct observations combined with parent/caregiver reports. All of the autistic individuals demonstrated auditory abnormalities especially in the domain of hyposensitivity, compared with 33.3% of children with language delay. The auditory abnormalities in autism primarily comprised of auditory hyposensitivity, auditory hypersensitivity, phonophobia, and peculiar interests in certain sounds. Participants with autism were rated as having more problems than the language-delayed children in all the items of each domain. No significant difference in the range of auditory abnormalities were observed between mild and severe autistic children except for the presence of phonophobia. Children with autism presented with diverse auditory abnormalities which may be specific features in autism and may play an important role in the early identification of autism.

Cells are the fundamental units of biological systems and exhibit unique development trajectories and molecular features. Our exploration of how the genomes orchestrate the formation and maintenance of each cell, and control the cellular phenotypes of various organismsis, is both captivating and intricate. Since the inception of the first single-cell RNA technology, technologies related to single-cell sequencing have experienced rapid advancements in recent years. These technologies have expanded horizontally to include single-cell genome, epigenome,proteome, and metabolome, while vertically, they have progressed to integrate multiple omics data and incorporate additional information such as spatial sc RNA-seq and CRISPR screening. Single-cell omics represent a groundbreaking advancement in the biomedical field,offering profound insights into the understanding of complex diseases, including cancers. Here, we comprehensively summarize recent advances in single-cell omics technologies, with a specific focus on the methodology section. This overview aims to guide researchers in selecting appropriate methods for single-cell sequencing and related data analysis.

Prediction and optimization of flue pressure in sintering process based on SHAP

Sinter is the core raw material for blast *** pressure,which is an important state parameter,affects sinter *** this paper,flue pressure prediction and optimization were studied based on the shapley additive explanation(SHAP)to predict the flue pressure and take targeted adjustment ***,the sintering process data were collected and processed.A flue pressure prediction model was then constructed after comparing different feature selection methods and model algorithms using SHAP+extremely random-ized trees(ET).The prediction accuracy of the model within the error range of±0.25 kPa was 92.63%.SHAP analysis was employed to improve the interpretability of the prediction *** effects of various sintering operation parameters on flue pressure,the relation-ship between the numerical range of key operation parameters and flue pressure,the effect of operation parameter combinations on flue pressure,and the prediction process of the flue pressure prediction model on a single sample were analyzed.A flue pressure optimization module was also constructed and analyzed when the prediction satisfied the judgment *** operating parameter combination was then *** flue pressure was increased by 5.87%during the verification process,achieving a good optimization effect.

An effective method has been developed for Rh(III)‐catalyzed direct vinylation of arenes to give functionalized styrenes, using vinyltriethoxysilane as a convenient and inexpensive vinyl source. A wide variety of substrates, including 1‐aryl‐2‐pyrrolidinones, anilines, benzamides and ketones, were compatible with this reaction. Moreover, this method can be applied to the two‐step synthesis of functionalized indoles. Mechanistic investigation reveals that the reaction probably proceeds through an oxidative Heck/desilylation pathway.

Dairy cows are highly susceptible to ketosis after parturitioa In the present study,we evaluated the expression of fatty acidβ-oxidation-related enzymes in the liver of ketotic cows(n=6) and non-ketotic cows(n=6). Serum levels of nonesterified fatty acids(NEFA),β-hydroxybutyrate(BHBA),and glucose were determined by using standard biochemical *** mRNA abundance and protein content of acyl-CoA synthetase long-chain(ACSL),carnitine palmitoyltransferaseⅠ(CPTⅠ),carnitine palmitoyltransferaseⅡ(CPTⅡ),acyl-CoA dehydrogenase long chain(ACADL),3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-CoA synthase(HMGCS),and acetyl-CoA carboxylase(ACC) were evaluated by real-time polymerase chain reaction and enzyme-linked immunosorbent *** found that serum glucose levels were lower in ketotic cows than those in non-ketotic cows,but serum BHBA and NEFA concentrations were *** mRNA and protein levels were significantly higher in livers of ketotic cows than those in non-ketotic *** contrast,the mRNA levels of CPT I and both mRNA and protein levels of CPT II,ACADL,HMGCS,and ACC were decreased in the liver of ketotic *** NEFA concentration positively correlated with ACSL protein levels and negatively correlated with protein levels of CPT II,HMGCS,ACADL,and *** addition,serum BHBA concentration negatively correlated with protein levels of CPT II,HMGCS,and ***,fatty acidβ-oxidation capability was altered in the liver of ketotic compared to non-ketonic ***,high serum NEFA or/and BHBA concentrations play key roles in affecting pathways of fatty acid metabolism in the liver.

The Yalu Tsangpo River basin is a typical semi-arid and cold region in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, where significant climate change has been detected in the past decades. The objective of this paper is to demonstrate how the regional vegetation, especially the typical plant types, responds to the climate changes. In this study, the model of gravity center has been firstly introduced to analyze the spatial-temporal relationship between NDVI and climate factors considering the time-lag effect. The results show that the vegetation grown has been positively influenced by the rainfall and precipitation both in moving tracks of gravity center and time-lag effect especially for the growing season during the past thirteen years. The herbs and shrubs are inclined to be influenced by the change of rainfall and temperature, which is indicated by larger positive correlation coefficients at the 0.05 confidence level and shorter lagging time. For the soil moisture, the significantly negative relationship of NDV-PDI indicates that the growth and productivity of the vegetation are closely related to the short-term soil water, with the correlation coefficients reaching the maximum value of o.81 at Lag 0-1. Among the typicalvegetation types of plateau, the shrubs of low mountain, steppe and meadow are more sensitive to the change of soil moisture with coefficients of -0.95, -0.93, -0.92, respectively. These findings reveal that the spatial and temporal heterogeneity between NDVI and climatic factors are of great ecological significance and practical value for the protection of eco-environment in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

Thin artificial solid electrolyte coatings are effective to enhance the electrochemical performances and safety issues of lithium (Li) metal ***,massive and efficient fabrication of artificial protection layers on Li metal anode surface remains ***,we describe a sandwiched Li metal anode fabricated through a continuous roll to roll calendering method to implant a thin and large-area carbon layer on Li metal anode surface at room ***,a carbon layer (~ 3 μm in thickness) can be entirely grafted from Cu substrate to 50 pm Li belt surface due to the stickiness of metallic *** carbon layer not only plays a critical role in providing rich nucleation sites for Li plating,but more importantly diminishes the metallurgical nonuniformity effects (slip lines) on ***,even Li plating/stripping morphologies are achieved and the as-obtained sandwiched Li/C composite anodes exhibit improved cycling stability both in Li | LiFePO4 and Li | S coin cells and pouch *** continuous roll to roll calendering strategy opens a new avenue for grafting various thin artificial protection layers on Li metal surface for safe rechargeable batteries.
