Electrical energy is essential for modern society to sustain economic *** soaring demand for the electrical energy,together with an awareness of the environmental impact of fossil fuels,has been driving a shift towards the utilization of solar ***,traditional solar energy solutions often require extensive spaces for a panel installation,limiting their practicality in a dense urban *** overcome the spatial constraint,researchers have developed transparent photovoltaics(TPV),enabling windows and facades in vehicles and buildings to generate electric *** TPV advancements are focused on improving both transparency and power output to rival commercially available silicon solar *** this review,we first briefly introduce wavelength-and non-wavelengthselective strategies to achieve *** of merit and theoretical limits of TPVs are discussed to comprehensively understand the status of current TPV *** we highlight recent progress in different types of TPVs,with a particular focus on solution-processed thin-film photovoltaics(PVs),including colloidal quantum dot PVs,metal halide perovskite PVs and organic *** applications of TPVs are also reviewed,with emphasis on agrivoltaics,smart windows and ***,current challenges and future opportunities in TPV research are pointed out.

Hierarchical hollow structure has demonstrated potential for enhancing electromagnetic(EM)attenuation and improving impedance matching,garnering significant attention for ***,we have successfully implemented compositional and structural engineering to fabricate hollow Mo2C/C microspheres with controllable composition by coupling interaction between dopamine hydrochloride and ammonium *** the synergistic effect of composition and hollow structure,the strongest reflection loss intensity and broadest effective absorption of the optimized sample reach-70.2 dB and 6.2 GHz,*** formation of hollow heterogeneous structures not only favors impedance matching feature,but also generates considerable contribution to EM attenuation ***,radar cross-section simulation data indicate that hollow Mo2C/C microspheres with compositional optimization and heterogeneous structures have broad prospects for practical applications.

Answering queries using cooperative semantic cache in mobile computing environments

In cooperative cache research domain, most of previous work engage in peer-to-peer systems and distributed systems, but do not involve applying cooperative semantic cache in mobile computing environments, which wireless communications disconnect at times and clients move frequently. In this paper, we extend the general semantic cache mechanism by enabling mobile clients to share their local semantic caches in a cooperative matter, and the process way and flow chart of the algorithm are described in detail. In addition, we discuss the methods used in cache consistence maintenance, which focus on confirm receiver of the periodic cache invalidation report and the process of validate client＇s local cache. The experiment results indicate cooperative semantic cache mechanism could reduce query response time and increase cache hit ratio effectively.

Fracture is the primary failure type for the UO2ceramic pellets,which are operated under irradiation and thermal processes,and physically confined by the *** this work,by combining closely coupled physical processes of heat conduction,heat transfer,and mechanical deformation with the cohesive phase field framework,we proposed a high-precision modeling of quasistatic cracking of three-dimensional （3D） UO2ceramic fuel pellets under high temperature and *** simulation results agree well with the experimental results,indicating that the proposed method has the potential to capture 3D crack modes in the interested time ***,we studied the relation of the 3D fracture patterns of fuel pellets with the peak power *** was found that the power level plays a critical role in determining the competition between radial and circumferential cracks,as well as transverse penetrating cracks.

A quantum-search-based multi-classifier for image recognition

The multi-class classification of images is a pivotal challenge within the realm of image processing. As the volume of visual data continues to expand, there is a burgeoning interest in harnessing the unique capabilities of quantum computation to augment the efficiency of classification tasks. However, many existing methods for training quantum image multi-classifiers parallel classical machine learning techniques, where the requisite circuit measurements increase linearly with the volume of training data. This work introduces a novel approach for training a quantum image multi-classifier based on the quantum search algorithm. We have meticulously conducted rigorous experiments on a handwritten digit dataset, a classic benchmark in the field. The results have been meticulously compared with previous works, and the comparative analysis not only validates the efficiency of our proposed approach, requiring only O(N/b) measurements during training, but also highlights a significant quadratic speedup of the algorithm.

Spin glasses(SGs),generally defined as disordered systems with randomized competing interactions,are widely investigated complex *** the ground states of spin glasses is crucial for understanding the nature of disordered magnets and many other physical manifestations,while also helping to solve some hard combinatorial optimization problems across multiple ***,the intrinsic cause of SG has always been elusive,especially in spinel oxide ***,we report the SG behavior observed in the cubic spinel oxides CoCrGaO_(4),and provide a comprehensive understanding of its intrinsic *** results indicate a frustrated state under multi-magnetic competition,and the features of SG are confirmed by susceptibility *** fitting parameters ofτ0,T0,and zv of isothermal remanent magnetization further reveal the relaxation behavior and strong spin ***,the varying exchange coupling under different temperatures and magnetic fields is unveiled,which should be responsible for the disordered *** studies unravel the underlying mechanism responsible for doping-induced magnetic frustration and introduce CoCrGaO_(4)as a potential platform for investigating spin glass behavior,thereby advancing fundamental research on frustrated magnetism within the spinel system.

Protonated acetone ion chemical ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry for real-time measurement of atmospheric ammonia

Ammonia(NH_(3))is ubiquitous in the atmosphere,it can affect the formation of secondary aerosols and particulate matter,and cause soil eutrophication through ***,the use of radioactive primary reagent ion source and the humidity interference on the sensitivity and stability are the two major issues faced by chemical ionization mass spectrometer(CIMS)in the analysis of atmospheric *** this work,a vacuum ultraviolet(VUV)Kr lamp was used to replace the radioactive source,and acetone was ionized under atmospheric pressure to obtain protonated acetone reagent ions to ionize *** ionization source is designed as a separated three-zone structure,and even 90 vol.%high-humidity samples can still be directly analyzed with a sensitivity of sub-ppbv.A signal normalization processing method was designed,and with this new method,the quantitative relative standard deviation(RSD)of the instrument was decreased from 17.5%to9.1%,and the coefficient of determination was increased from 0.8340 to *** humidity correction parameters of the instrument were calculated from different humidity,and the ammonia concentrations obtained under different humidity were converted to its concentration under zero humidity condition with these correction *** analytical time for a single sample is only 60 sec,and the limit of detection(LOD)was 8.59 pptv(signalto-noise ratio S/N=3).The ambient measurement made in Qingdao,China,in January 2021 with this newly designed CIMS,showed that the concentration of ammonia ranged from 1 to 130 ppbv.

Influencing mechanism of high solid concentration on anaerobic mono-digestion of sewage sludge without agitation

High-solids anaerobic digestion of sewage sludge was a promising process, but high solid concentra- tion negatively influenced methane production. The influencing mechanism was systematically analyzed in this study through a series of static anaerobic digestion experiments at total solids （TS） contents of 3%--15%. The results showed that TS 6% was the boundary between low- solids and high-solids anaerobic digestion, and the accumulative methane yield decreased exponentially when TS increased from 6% to 15%. The performance of anaerobic digestion was directly determined by the efficiency of mass transfer, and the relation between methane yield and sludge diffusive coefficients was well described by a power function. Thus, the increasing TS resulted in an exponential increase in sludge viscosity but an exponential decrease in diffusive coefficient. The blocked mass transfer led to the accumulation of volatile fatty acids （VFAs） and free ammonia. Acetic metabolism was the main process, whereas butyric and propionic metabolisms occurred at the initial stage of high-solids anaerobic digestion. The concentration of VFAs reached the maximum at the initial stage, which were still lower than the threshold influencing methanogens. The concen- tration of free ammonia increased gradually, and the methanogenesis was inhibited when free ammonia nitro- gen exceeded 50 mg.L^-1. Consequently, the deterioration of high-solids anaerobic digestion was related to the blocked mass transfer and the resulting ammonia accumu- lation.

In-situ Observation of Crack Growth and Domain Switching Around Vickers Indentation on BaTiO_3 Single Crystal Under Sustained Electric Field

The crack propagation and domain switching process around the indentation on the surface of barium titanate single crystal under the external electric field was investigated by atomic force microscope and polarized light microscope. The evolutions of domain switching and crack propagation were in-situ observed when a 90°a- c domain wall moved across the indentation which was driven by external electric field. The results show that the incompatible strain induced by domain switching in the residual stress zone around the indentation is the driving force of the anisotropic crack propagation. The crack propagation results in the changes of the fine domain stripes around the crack tip.
