In this paper, we describe the facile and effective preparation of a series of cobalt-doped Fe3O4 nanocatalysts via chemical coprecipitation in an aqueous solution. The catalyst allowed the hydrogenation of chloronitrobenzenes to chloroanilines （CAs） to proceed at low temperatures in absolute water and at atmospheric pressure, resulting in approximately 100% yield and selectivity. Several factors that influence the yield of CAs were investigated. The results showed that the suitable dosage of the catalyst was -10 tool.% of the substrate, and the optimal reaction time, reaction temperature, and reaction pressure were 20 min, 80 ~C, and atmospheric pressure, respectively. Under the optimal reaction conditions, the CA yield was as high as 98.4%, and the nitro reduction rate reached 100%, which indicates the excellent selectivity of the homemade catalyst. This process also overcomes the environmental pollution harms associated with the traditional process.

Structure from motion (SfM) has been an active research area in computer vision for decades and numerous practical applications are benefiting from this research. While no previous work has tried to summarize the applications appearing in the literature, this paper deals with a comprehensive overview of recent applications of SfM by classifying them into 10 categories, namely augmented reality, autonomous navigation/guidance, motion capture, hand-eye calibration, image/video processing, image-based 3D modeling, remote sensing, image organization/browsing, segmentation and recognition, and military applications. The goal is to provide insights for researchers to position their work more appropriately in the context of existing techniques, and to perceive both new applications and relevant research problems.

This article proposes a deep neural network(DNN)-based direct-path relative transfer function(DP-RTF)enhancement method for robust direction of arrival(DOA)estimation in noisy and reverberant *** DP-RTF refers to the ratio between the directpath acoustic transfer functions of the two microphone ***,the complex-value DP-RTF is decomposed into the inter-channel intensity difference,and sinusoidal functions of the inter-channel phase difference in the time-frequency ***,the decomposed DP-RTF features from a series of temporal context frames are utilized to train a DNN model,which maps the DP-RTF features contaminated by noise and reverberation to the clean ones,and meanwhile provides a time-frequency(TF)weight to indicate the reliability of the *** DP-RTF enhancement network can help to enhance the DP-RTF against noise and ***,the DOA of a sound source can be estimated by integrating the weighted matching between the enhanced DP-RTF features and the DP-RTF *** results on simulated data show the superiority of the proposed DP-RTF enhancement network for estimating the DOA of the sound source in the environments with various levels of noise and reverberation.

Using nonequilibrium molecular dynamics simulations, we study the non-Newtonian rhe-ological behaviors of a monoatomic fluid governed by the Lennard-Jones potential. Both steady Couette and oscillatory shear flows are investigated. Shear thinning and normal stress effects are observed in the steady Couette flow simulations. The radial distribution function is calculated at different shear rates to exhibit the change of the microscopic struc- ture of molecules due to shear. We observe that for a larger shear rate the repulsion between molecules is more powerful while the attraction is weaker, and the above phenomena can also be confirmed by the analyses of the potential energy. By applying an oscillatory shear to the system, several findings are worth mentioning here： First, the phase difference between the shear stress and shear rate increases with the frequency. Second, the real part of complex viscosity first increases and then decreases while the imaginary part tends to increase mono- tonically, which results in the increase of the proportion of the imaginary part to the real part with the increasing frequency. Third, the ratio of the elastic modulus to the viscous modulus also increases with the frequency. These phenomena all indicate the appearance of viscoelasticity and the domination of elasticity over viscosity at high oscillation frequency for Lennard-Jones fluids.

Microplastics have frequently been regarded as a threat to aquatic organisms due to their potential to enhance the accessibility of organic ***,studies of microplastics as“carriers”in the process of bioaccumulation have only been conducted on a few organic *** this study,we employed machine learning algorithms to predict the sorption capacity of 83 exogenous organic pollutants(in CCL4)on microplastics,the prediction model exhibits exceptional predictive performance,achieving R^(2) values of 0.8651 and 0.6962,RMSE values of 0.4625 and 0.1841 for the sorption coefficients Kf and n,respectively,and quantitatively estimated the contribution of microplastics to the bioaccumulation levels of organic pollutants in Gadus *** considering both natural and microplastic-ingesting pathways,we demonstrated that the ingestion of microplastics containing organic pollutants facilitates the entry of organic pollutants into Gadus ***,due to their robust sorption capacity,microplastics transport the organic pollutants accumulated through the natural pathway out of the fish,thereby preventing *** findings elucidate the“cleaning”mechanism of microplastics concerning various organic pollutants in aquatic organisms,providing valuable insights for accurately assessing the risk of microplastics in aquatic environments.

In this study,the influence of soil properties on the failure behavior and mechanism of slope under earthquake after rainfall was studied with shaking table test in the laboratory,in which the failure process of slope and instant responses of water content and pore water pressure were *** on the principle of similarity,a model test was *** experimental results showed that soil properties exhibit significant influence on failure mode and failure mechanism of *** flowslide,local failure,and creep flowslide failure modes appear in the slope exposed to only ***,under earthquake after rainfall,the other three failure modes occur,i.e.,local slip failure,overall slip failure,and shallow scouring and creep flowslide *** spatial distribution of water content and pore water pressure are the two key factors leading to slope ***,due to the difference of permeability,the soil properties not only affect the spatial distribution of water content of the slope after rainfall,resulting in the peak pore water pressure which occurs mainly near the foot of the slope and near the bedrock interface in the middle and lower parts of the slope,but also affect the dissipation of excess pore water pressure in the process of ***,it is discovered that different types of soil lead to significant differences in the peak acceleration of slope *** critical acceleration of slope with coarse-grained soil is greater than that of slope with fine-grained *** critical acceleration of slope failure shows a close relationship with soil properties.

To improve the cycle performance of eco-friendly and cost-effective spinel LiMn2O4 as the Li secondary batteries, the Th-doped LiThxMn1-xO4 spinel powers were synthesized by solid-state method. The starting materials, Li2CO3, MnO2 and Th(NO3)4·4H2O, were mixed uniformly using a traditional ball milling, which resulted in a uniform particle size distribution in the mixed powers. Tests of X-ray diffraction, SEM, impedance spectra and charge-discharge were carried out for LiThxMn1-xO4 cathode materials. Results show that the synthesized LiTh0.01Mn1.99O4 material exhibits standard spinel structure, regular particle morphology and excellent property of charge-discharge for big current. The capacity retention of the material modified by doping Th is more than 85.1% of the first discharge specific capacity of 111.5 mAh·g-1 after 20 cycles at the current rate 1C, while the pristine LiMn2O4 is only 57% of the first discharge specific capacity of 110.2 mAh·g-1 after the same cycles at the same current rate.

Prime editing(PE)technology enables precise alterations in the genetic code of a genome of *** offers great potential for identifying major agronomically important genes in plants and editing them into superior variants,ideally targeting multiple loci simultaneously to realize the collective effects of the ***,we report the development of a modular assembly-based multiplex PE system in rice and demon-strate its efficacy in editing up to four genes in a single transformation *** duplex PE(DPE)system achieved a co-editing efficiency of 46.1%in the T0 generation,converting TFIIAg5 to xa5 and xa23 to *** resulting double-mutant lines exhibited robust broad-spectrum resistance against multiple Xanthomonas oryzae pathovar oryzae(Xoo)strains in the T1 *** addition,we success-fully edited OsEPSPS1 to an herbicide-tolerant variant and OsSWEET11a to a Xoo-resistant allele,achieving a co-editing rate of 57.14%.Furthermore,with the quadruple PE(QPE)system,we edited four genes—two for herbicide tolerance(OsEPSPS1 and OsALS1)and two for Xoo resistance(TFIIAg5 and OsSWEET11a)—using one construct,with a co-editing efficiency of 43.5%for all four genes in the T0 *** performed multiplex PE usingfive more constructs,including two for triplex PE(TPE)and three for QPE,each targeting a different set of *** editing rates were dependent on the activity of pegRNA and/or *** instance,optimization of ngRNA increased the PE rates for one of the targets(OsSPL13)from 0%to 30%but did not improve editing at another target(OsGS2).Overall,our modular assembly-based system yielded high PE rates and streamlined the cloning of PE reagents,making it feasible for more labs to utilize PE for their editing *** have significant implications for advancing gene editing techniques in plants and may pave the way for future agricultural applications.
