To accurately determine the chronological framework of climatic variations recorded by various Martian terrains, the absolute ages of Martian events and cratering rate need to be constrained by either in situ dating or returned samples. In situ K-Ar dating is currently a more plausible dating technique as compared with sample return. Jarosite(KFe_(3)[SO_(4)]_(2)[OH]_(6)) is the only confirmed K sulfate mineral that is widely present on Mars, as indicated by in situ detection, orbital remote sensing, and meteorite studies. Jarosite can be used for precise K-Ar and (40)Ar/(39)Ar dating. The preservation of jarosite on Mars provides information about the nature and duration of aqueous processes on the Martian surface. Different ages of Martian jarosite represent the key to constraining the transition from Martian surface water activity to arid climatic conditions. This paper summarizes recent advances in our knowledge of the spatial distribution of Martian jarosite, its mineralogical properties and stability on Mars, the Ar diffusion kinetics of jarosite, and the current status of in situ K-Ar dating. Moreover, we examine the key scientific issues to be addressed for in situ K-Ar dating of jarosite and Martian sample return missions, and discuss future research directions.

The expansion of protein topological diversity requires new and efficient synthetic ***,we report the second and third generations of the SpyStapler-mediated SpyTag/BDTag ligation system for the efficient synthesis of 4-arm star proteins and the repurposing of the third generation as an active template to enable the synthesis of higher-order protein[n]catenanes(n=3,4,and 5).SpyStapler003 has a higher affinity to its cognate SpyTag and BDTag reactive pairs relative to the original ***,it can overcome much more profound steric hindrance in protein ligation and improve the efficiency of the resulting active template tool to facilitate the construction of radial protein[n]*** proteins of interest,such as dihydrofolate reductase and the nanobody KN035,can be modularly incorporated into the[n]catenanes with intact *** of passive and active template strategies gives rise to linear protein[4]catenanes,which further expands the current topological ***,higher-order protein catenation not only leads to enhanced thermal stability and proteolytic resistance but also higher affinity of the nanobody via multivalent *** study provides tools useful for bioconjugation and new topological protein scaffolds for the multivalent display of enzymes and antibodies.

Unlike small molecules,the topological complexity of macromolecules remains largely unexplored due to the huge synthetic ***,we report the development of orthogonal active templates for concise and selective synthesis of protein[n]heterocatenanes toward protein *** active template(AT-Snoop)was first developed based on the isopeptide-bond-forming RrgA domain with comparable efficiency and excellent orthogonality to the previously reported active template(AT-Spy)based on the CnaB2 *** combination facilitated the selective synthesis of protein[n]catenanes from multiple components in one step and the resulting structures were verified by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis,size exclusion chromatography,liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry,and proteolytic digestion *** results offered a promising solution to tackling the daunting challenge of precision synthesis of protein olympiadane with five distinct ring *** only did the success provide new tools forproteintopologyengineeringbutalsospurred and fueled the future exploitation of topology-related functional benefits in protein science.

Field environmental sensing can acquire real-time environmental information, which will be applied to field operation, through the fusion of multiple sensors. Multi-sensor fusion refers to the fusion of information obtained from multiple sensors using more advanced data processing methods. The main objective of applying this technology in field environment perception is to acquire real-time environmental information, making agricultural mechanical devices operate better in complex farmland environment with stronger sensing ability and operational accuracy. In this paper, the characteristics of sensors are studied to clarify the advantages and existing problems of each type of sensors and point out that multiple sensors can be introduced to compensate for the information loss. Secondly, the mainstream information fusion types at present are outlined. The characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of different fusion methods are analyzed. The important studies and applications related to multi-sensor information fusion technology published at home and abroad are listed. Eventually, the existing problems in the field environment sensing at present are summarized and the prospect for future of sensors precise sensing, multi-dimensional fusion strategies, discrepancies in sensor fusion and agricultural information processing are proposed in hope of providing reference for the deeper development of smart agriculture.

Based on the domain reduction method,this study employs an SEM-FEM hybrid workflow which integrates the advantages of the spectral element method(SEM)for flexible and highly efficient simulation of seismic wave propagation in a three-dimensional(3D)regional-scale geophysics model and the finite element method(FEM)for fine simulation of structural response including soil-structure interaction,and performs a physics-based simulation from initial fault rupture on an ancient wood *** verification of the hybrid workflow,a large-scale model of an ancient wood structure in the Beijing area,The Tower of Buddhist Incense,is established and its responses under the 1665 Tongxian earthquake and the 1730 Yiheyuan earthquake are *** results from the simulated ground motion and seismic response of the wood structure under the two earthquakes demonstrate that this hybrid workflow can be employed to efficiently provide insight into the relationships between geophysical parameters and the structural response,and is of great significance toward accurate input for seismic simulation of structures under specific site and fault conditions.
