Stress-dependent permeability models are developed for the organic pores and inorganic cleats/fractures in unconventional gas reservoirs,which are modeled as Biot’s porous media of *** considering multiple flow mechanisms such as dynamic effects of gas flow and surface diffusion,apparent permeability models are obtained to investigate the characteristics of unconventional gas *** to the gas transfer in single-porosity reservoirs,the gas migration ability of cleats in dual-porosity stratums rarely changes while that of organic pores is greatly improved because cleats sustain major geomechanical shrinkage deformation when the pore pressure ***,the mass flux of reservoirs is dominated by the mass flux of cleats,which has a lower peak value,but a much longer production term than those in single-porosity reservoirs due to the interaction between organic pores and *** analysis is conducted to identify key factors significantly impacting mass flux in unconventional *** for the mass flux variation are also explored in terms of gas migration ability and pore pressure distribution.

The distributed position and orientation system(POS) uses transfer alignment to accurately measure multi-node time-spatial reference information, which is necessary for compensating the motion error of imaging sensors used in aerial surveys. Lever-arm deformation in transfer alignment will result in time-varying covariance of measurement noise, which decreases the estimation accuracy. To address this problem, a second-order adaptive divided difference two-filter smoother(ADDTFS) is proposed for transfer alignment. The second-order adaptive divided difference filter(ADDF2) severs as the forward filter to address nonlinearity in the system. The ADDF2 can estimate the measurement noise covariance in real time based on adaptive estimation using innovation information. The weighted statistical linear regression formulation is used in the backward filter to independently estimate the states and error covariance *** the forward and backward results are combined, to obtain high-precision estimation results in postprocessing. Finally, the vehicle experiment results show that the proposed method can improve the attitude precision of transfer alignment in a distributed POS by 27.84%, which has been successfully applied to motion compensation of airborne interferometric synthetic aperture radar(InS AR).

The hydrogen ion implantation process in Smart-Cut technology is investigated in the present paper using molecular dynamics（MD） *** work focuses on the effects of the implantation energy,dose of hydrogen ions and implantation temperature on the distribution of hydrogen ions and defect rate induced by ion *** analysis shows that implanted hydrogen ions follow an approximate Gaussian distribution which mainly depends on the implantation energy and is independent of the hydrogen ion dose and implantation *** introducing a new parameter of defect rate,the influence of the processing parameters on defect rate is also quantitatively examined.

We present two deterministic secure quantum communication schemes over a collective-noise. One is used to complete the secure quantum communication against a collective-rotation noise and the other is used against a collective-dephasing noise. The two parties of quantum communication can exploit the correlation of their subsystems to check eavesdropping efficiently. Although the sender should prepare a sequence of three-photon entangled states for accomplishing secure communication against a collective noise,the two parties need only single-photon measurements,rather than Bell-state measurements,which will make our schemes convenient in practical application.

Real-Time Publish and Subscribe (RTPS) protocol is a protocol for implementing message exchange over an unreliable transport in data distribution service (DDS). Formal modelling and verification of the protocol provide stronger guarantees of its correctness and efficiency than testing alone. In this paper, we build formal models for the RTPS protocol using UPPAAL and Simulink/Stateflow. Modelling using Simulink/Stateflow allows analyzing the protocol through simula-tion, as well as generate executable code. Modelling using UPPAAL allows us to verify properties of the model stated in TCTL (Timed Computation Tree Logic), as well as estimate its performance using statistical model checking. We further describe a procedure for translation from Stateflow to timed automata, where a subset of major features in Stateflow is supported, and prove the soundness statement that the Stateflow model is a refinement of the translated timed automata model. As a consequence, any property in a certain fragment of TCTL that we have verified for the timed automata model in UPPAAL is preserved for the original Stateflow model.

Frequency Dispersion of Love Waves in a Piezoelectric Nanofilm Bonded on a Semi-infinite Elastic Substrate

Research on the propagation of elastic waves in piezoelectric nanostructures is very limited. The frequency dispersion of Love waves in layered piezoelectric nanostructures has not yet been reported when surface effects are taken into account. Based on the surface elasticity theory, the propagation of Love waves with surface effects in a structure consisting of a nanosized piezoelectric film and a semi-infinite elastic substrate is investigated focusing on the frequency dispersion curves of different modes. The results show that under the electrically-open conditions, surface effects give rise to the dependence of Love wave dispersion on the film thickness when the thickness of the piezoelectric film reduces to nanometers. For a given wave frequency, phase velocity of Love waves in all dispersion modes exhibit obvious toward shift as the film thickness decreases or the surface parameters increase. Moreover, there may exist a cut-off frequency in the first mode dispersion below which Love waves will be evanescent in the structure due to surface effects. The cut-off frequency depends on the film thickness, the surface parameters and the bulk material properties.

A new method to quantify the predictability limit of ensemble forecasting is presented using the Kullback–Leibler(KL)divergence(also called the relative entropy), which provides a measure of the difference between the probability distributions of ensemble forecasts and local reference(true) states. The KL divergence is applicable to a non-normal distribution of ensemble forecasts, which is a substantial improvement over the previous method using the ensemble spread. An example from the three-variable Lorenz model illustrates the effectiveness of the KL divergence, which can effectively quantify the predictability limit of ensemble forecasting. On this basis, the KL divergence is used to investigate the dependence of the predictability limit of ensemble forecasting on the initial states and the magnitude of initial errors. The local predictability limit of ensemble forecasting varies considerably with the initial states, as well as with the magnitude of initial errors. Further research is needed to examine the real-world applications of the KL divergence in measuring the predictability of ensemble weather forecasts.

Solid-state phase transformation plays an important role in adjusting the microstructure and thus tuning the properties of materials. A general modular, analytical model has been widely applied to describe the kinetics of solid-state phase transformation involving nucleation, growth and impingement; the basic conception for iso-kinetics which constitutes a physical foundation for the kinetic models or recipes can be extended by the analytical model. Applying the model, the evolution of kinetic parameters is an effective tool for describing the crystallization of enormous amorphous alloys. In order to further improve the effectiveness of this kinetic model, recently, the recipes and the model fitting procedures were extended, with more factors （e.g., anisotropic growth, soft impingement, and thermodynamic driving force） taken into consideration in the modified models. The recent development in the field of analytical model suggests that it is a general, flexible and open kinetic model for describing the solid-state phase transformation kinetics.
