Pediatric inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)is a chronic inflammatory disorder,with increasing incidence and prevalence *** have been recent advances in imaging and endoscopic technology for disease diagnosis,treatment,and *** ultrasound,including transabdominal,transperineal,and endoscopic,has been emerging for the assessment of transmural bowel inflammation and disease complications(e.g.,fistula,abscess).Aside from surgery,IBD-related intestinal strictures now have endoscopic treatment options including through-the-scope balloon dilatation,injection,and needle knife stricturotomy and new evaluation tools such as endoscopic functional lumen imaging *** transnasal endoscopy may have a role in patients with upper gastrointestinal Crohn’s disease or those with IBD with new upper gastrointestinal *** to dysplasia screening in pediatric patients with longstanding colonic disease or primary sclerosing cholangitis hold promise with the addition of virtual chromoendoscopy and ongoing research in the field of artificial intelligence-assisted endoscopic *** intelligence and machine learning is a rapidly evolving field,with goals of further personalizing IBD diagnosis and treatment selection as well as *** review summarized these advancements,focusing on pediatric patients with IBD.

We generated a human dendritic cell-specific ICAM-3-grabbing non-integrin(DC-SIGN)transgenic mouse in which renal tubular epithelial cells expressed *** transgenic mice were infected with Candida albicans intravenously to study how DC-SIGN expression affected the pathogenesis of systemic *** discovered that,while *** infection induced renal fibrosis in both transgenic and littermate control mice,the transgenic mice had significantly lower levels of Acta2,Col1a2,Col3a1,and Col4a1 mRNA transcripts compared to the ***-1,an emerging biomarker for kidney injury,along with Tnf,Il6,and Tgfb1 transcripts,were lower in infected transgenic mice,and yet,the levels of Il10 remained comparable to the *** renal CD45+infiltrating cells were the source of Tnf,Il6,and Il10,LTL+renal proximal tubular epithelial cells were TGF-β1 producers in both infected transgenic and littermate ***-SIGN-expressing tubular epithelial cells produced less TGF-β1 in response to *** *** vivo experiments demonstrated that renal proximal tubular epithelial cell production of TGF-β1 was key to ***-induced renal fibrosis and *** of transgenic mice induced a marked increase of phosphorylated Raf-1 and p38 in the ***,ERK1/2 and JNK phosphorylation was more pronounced in the infected-littermate ***,treating the infected transgenic mice with a Raf-1 inhibitor increased the levels of the Tgfb1,Kim1,and Acta2 *** results indicate that DC-SIGN signaling,through activation of Raf-1 and p38 and suppression of JNK and ERK1/2 phosphorylation,reduces TGF-β1 production and ***-induced renal *** study reveals for the first time the effect of DC-SIGN expression on ***-induced renal fibrosis.

Objective: To evaluate the anti-inflammatory activity of oolong tea ethanol extract(OTEE) and epigallocatechin gallate(EGCG) on lipopolysaccharide-induced murine macrophage cell line(RAW 264.7).Methods: A cytotoxic assay using MTS tetrazolium was conducted to find a nontoxic level of OTEE and EGCG toward RAW 264.7 cells. Interleukins(IL-6, IL-1 b), tumor necrosis factor-a(TNF-a), and cyclooxigenase-2(COX-2) levels were measured by ELISA, and nitric oxide(NO) levels measured by a nitrate/nitrite colorimetric assay to determine the inhibition activity of OTEE and ***: Lipopolysaccharide induction increases NO, COX-2, IL-6, IL-1 b, and TNF-a levels compared with the untreated cell(negative control). The positive control,lipopolysaccharide-induced RAW 264.7 without treatments showed the highest level of all pro-inflammatory cytokines and modulators tested in this study. The positive control was used as standard to obtain OTEE and EGCG inhibition activity toward NO, COX-2,IL-6, IL-1 b, and TNF-a. OTEE had a higher inhibition activity toward NO, COX-2, IL-6,and IL-1 b than EGCG; the reverse was seen for TNF-a. However, both OTEE and EGCG suppressed production of NO, COX-2, IL-6, IL-1 b, and ***: OTEE and EGCG have the potential for use as anti-inflammatory drugs,which is shown by their ability to reduce the production of NO, COX-2, IL-6, IL-1 b, and TNF-a in active macrophages.
