MXenes,drawn from MAX phases,are special two-dimensional substances with numerous advantages in nonlinear optics,specifically in giant and ultrashort pulsed-laser ***_(3)C_(2)T_(x)and Ti_(2)CT_(x)nanosheets however rapidly deteriorate under ambient conditions,limiting their *** paper demonstrates how excellent modulation depth of one of the MAX phase compounds vanadium zinc carbide(V_2ZnC)makes it a brilliant saturable absorber(SA)in passively Q-switched all-fiber pulsed lasers,integrated such that a 16.73-μm V_(2)ZnC-polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)thin film acts as SA in the *** and non-saturable absorptions were found to be 13.2%and 10.47%,while saturation optical intensity and modulation depth were 6.25 k W/cm^(2)and 12.43%,respectively,illustrating the optical *** superiority of MAX-PVA,fabricated in four distinct ratios,was demonstrated by the fact that it self-starts a giant pulsed laser at pump power as low as 22.5 mW and firmly accomplished 120.6 kHz repetition rate with a pulse width of 2.08μ*** is a fine SA for the use of pulsed-laser production using all-fiber laser due to fabrication simplicity and great optical,thermophysical,and mechanical qualities.

Visible light communication(VLC)based on laser diodes demonstrates great potential for high data rate maritime,terrestrial,and aerial wireless data ***,we design and fabricate high-speed blue laser diodes(LDs)grown on c-plane gallium nitride(GaN)*** was achieved through active region design and miniaturization toward a narrow ridge waveguide,short cavity length,and single longitudinal mode Fabry–Perot laser *** fabricated mini-LD has a low threshold current of 31 mA and slope efficiency of 1.02 W/A.A record modulation bandwidth of 5.9 GHz(−3dB)was measured from the *** the developed mini-LD as a transmitter,the VLC link exhibits a high data transmission rate of 20.06 Gbps adopting the bit and power loading discrete multitone(DMT)modulation *** corresponding bit error rate is 0.003,satisfying the forward error correction *** demonstrated GaN-based mini-LD has significantly enhanced data transmission rates,paving the path for energy-efficient VLC systems and integrated photonics in the visible regime.

In the wake of rapid advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), we stand on the brink of a transformative leap in data systems. The imminent fusion of AI and DB (AI×DB) promises a new generation of data systems, which will relieve the burden on end-users across all industry sectors by featuring AIenhanced functionalities, such as personalized and automated in-database AI-powered analytics, and selfdriving capabilities for improved system performance. In this paper, we explore the evolution of data systems with a focus on deepening the fusion of AI and DB. We present NeurDB, an AI-powered autonomous data system designed to fully embrace AI design in each major system component and provide in-database AIpowered analytics. We outline the conceptual and architectural overview of NeurDB, discuss its design choices and key components, and report its current development and future plan.

校园安全与学生校内违纪问题近年来关注热度逐渐上升,随着数智时代的到来,应对和防范学生违纪问题的措施越来越多,当前广泛使用的视频监控和校园一卡通等相关技术有一定的局限性,无法有效地防范违纪问题的发生,因此,通过三种场景将物联网与可安装在校园内的传感器连接起来,及时收集和处理数据,实现低能耗、广覆盖、低成本的数据处理并将数据上传到云端,通过MapReduce在云端进行数据处理,根据不同的违纪行为产生预警,使大数据技术与校园霸凌、旷课、吸烟等违纪识别相结合,为学校工作人员监控学生记录和安全问题提供有价值的信息。

Nuclear reprogramming is described as a molecular switch,triggered by the conversion of one cell type to *** key experiments in the past century have provided insight into the field of nuclear *** deemed impossible,this re-search area is now brimming with new findings and *** this review,we aim to give a historical perspective on how the notion of nuclear reprogram-ming was established,describing main experiments that were performed,including(1)somatic cell nuclear transfer,(2)exposure to cell extracts and cell fusion,and(3)transcription factor induced lineage ***,we focus on(4)transcription factor induced pluripotency,as initiated by a landmark discovery in 2006,where the process of converting somatic cells to a pluripotent state was narrowed down to four tran-scription *** conception that somatic cells possess the capacity to revert to an immature status brings about huge clinical implications including per-sonalized therapy,drug screening and disease *** this technology has potential to revolu-tionize the medical field,it is still impeded by technical and biological *** review describes the effervescent changes in this field,addresses bottle-necks hindering its advancement and in conclusion,applies the latest findings to overcome these issues.

Mesoporous Technische Universiteit Delft（TUD-1）-supported chromium oxide-doped titania（Cr-TiO2） was developed as a promising photocatalyst for phenol photodegradation under visible light ***-angle X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy results confirmed the amorphous and mesoporous silicate framework of TUD-1 in TUD-1-supported *** mesostructure of TUD-1 was further verified via N2 adsorption-desorption analysis,which showed a type-IV isotherm with a narrow average pore size distribution of 3.9 nm and high surface area of 490 m^2/*** electron microscopy analysis results indicated that TUD-1-supported Cr-TiO2 contained nanoparticles and porous *** increase in band gap energy was observed after loading Cr-TiO2 into *** with that of unsupported Cr-TiO2,TUD-1-supported Cr-TiO2 showed higher photocatalytic activity for phenol degradation under visible light *** TUD-1 supported Cr-TiO2 photocatalyst with a Si/Ti molar ratio of 30 exhibited the highest photodegradation of phenol（82%） of the prepared *** photodegradation of phenol by the supported catalyst followed the Langmuir adsorption isotherm with first-order kinetics.

This paper examines the influence of gravity on the bulk responses of a granular solid. The loading scenarios in this study include confined compression, rod penetration into a granular medium and discharging through an orifice. Similar loading and flow conditions are likely to be encountered in the stress and deformation regimes that regoliths are subjected to in extraterrestrial exploration activities including in situ resource utilisation processes. Both spherical and non-spherical particles were studied using the discrete element method （DEM）. Whilst DEM is increasingly used to model granular solids, careful validations of the simulation outcomes are rather rare. Thus in addition to exploring the effect of gravity, this paper also compares DEM simulations with experiments under terrestrial condition to verify whether DEM can produce satisfactory predictions. The terrestrial experiments were conducted with great care and simulated closely using DEM. The key mechanical and geometrical properties for the particles were measured in laboratory tests for use in the DEM simulations. A series of DEM computations were then performed under reduced gravity to simulate these experiments under extraterrestrial environment. It was found that gravity has no noticeable effect on the force transmission in the confined compression case; the loading gradient in the rod penetration is linearly proportional to the gravity; the mass flow rate in silo discharge is proportional to square root of the gravity and the angle of repose increases with reducing gravity. These findings are in agreement with expectation and existing scientific evidence.
