Glioblastoma(GBM),the deadliest form of brain cancer,presents long-standing problems due to its *** antigen receptor(CAR)T cell immunotherapy has emerged as a powerful strategy to treat ***-13-receptor-α2(IL13Rα2),present in over 75%of GBMs,has been recognized as an attractive candidate for antiglioblastoma ***,we propose a novel multidisciplinary approach to target brain tumors using a combination of fluorescent,therapeutic nanoparticles and CAR T cells modified with a targeted-quadruplemutant of IL13(TQM-13)shown to have high binding affinity to IL13Rα2-expressing glioblastoma cells with low off-target ***-alkyne cycloaddition conjugation of nanoparticles to the surface of T cells allowed a facile,selective,and high-yielding clicking of the *** clicked onto T cells were retained for at least 8 days showing that the linkage is stable and promising a suitable time window for in vivo delivery.T cells clicked with doxorubicin-loaded nanoparticles showed a higher cytotoxic effect in vitro compared to bare T *** vitro and in vivo T cells expressing TQM-13 served as delivery shuttles for nanoparticles and significantly increased the number of nanoparticles reaching brain tumors compared to nanoparticles *** work represents a new platform to allow the delivery of therapeutic nanoparticles and T cells to solid tumors.

Industrial and Agricultural Effects on Water Environment and Its Optimization in Heavily Polluted Area in Taihu Lake Basin, China

The deteriorating water quality in the Taihu Lake Basin has attracted widespread attention for many years, and is correlated with a sharp increase in the quantity of pollutant discharge such as agricultural fertilizers and industrial wastewater. In this study, several factors were selected for evaluating and regionalizing the water environmental capacity by ArcG1s spatial analysis, including geomor- phologic characteristics, water quality goals, water body accessibility, water-dilution channels, and current water quality. Then, the spa- tial optimization of agriculture and industry was adjusted through overlay analysis, based on the balance between industrial space and water environmental capacity. The results show that the water environmental capacity gradually decreases from the west to the east, in contrast, the pollution caused by industrial and agricultural clustering is distributes along Taihu Lake, Gehu Lake and urban districts. The analysis of the agricultural space focuses on optimizing key protected areas of the Taihu Lake Basin, and the shores of Gehu Lake, optimally adjusting the second protected areas of the Taihu Lake Basin, and generally adjusting the urban areas of Changzhou and Wuxi cities. The analysis of industrial space focuses on optimizing the downtowns of Changzhou and Wuxi cities, optimally adjusting key protected areas and second protected areas of the Taihu Lake Basin, and generally adjusting the south and southwest of Gehu Lake. Lastly, some schemes of industrial and agricultural layouts and policies for the direction of industrial and agricultural development were proposed, reflecting a correlation between industry and agriculture and the water environment.

Applying the Hidden Markov Model to Analyze Urban Mobility Patterns: An Interdisciplinary Approach

With the emergence of the Internet of Things(IoT), there has been a proliferation of urban studies using big data. Yet, another type of urban research innovations that involve interdisciplinary thinking and methods remains underdeveloped. This paper represents an attempt to adopt a Hidden Markov Model(HMM) toolbox developed in Computer science for the analysis of eye movement patterns in Psychology to answer urban mobility questions in Geography. The main idea is that both people’s eye movements and travel behavior follow the stop-travel-stop pattern, which can be summarized using HMM. Methodological challenges were addressed by adjusting the HMM to analyze territory-wide travel survey data in Hong Kong, China. By using the adjusted toolbox to identify the activitytravel patterns of working adults in Hong Kong, two distinctive groups of balanced(38.4%) and work-oriented(61.6%) lifestyles were identified. With some notable exceptions, working adults living in the urban core were having a more work-oriented lifestyle. Those with a balanced lifestyle were having a relatively compact zone of non-work activities around their homes but a relatively long commuting distance. Furthermore, working females tend to spend more time at home than their counterparts, regardless of their marital status and lifestyle. Overall, this interdisciplinary research demonstrates an attempt to integrate spatial, temporal, and sequential information for understanding people’s behavior in urban mobility research.

How Does EsG Performance Impact Corporate Financing Costs?An Empirical study in China

In the background of the green transformation of the economy and society,the EsG performance of enterprises has been paid more and more attention in the investment ***,previous studies have inadequately explored how the EsG performance affects corporate financing *** on the information asymmetry theory,this paper analyzes the impact mechanism of EsG performance on corporate financing ***,taking 1044 A-share listed companies in2016–2020 as a sample,through the sorting and analysis of EsG report disclosure and rating data,the company’s EsG performance indicators are obtained,and an empirical model is built to test the relationship between EsG performance and corporate financing *** paper constructs a panel regression model using EsG rating data and corporate financial data and finds that in the overall sample,the higher the EsG performance,the lower the equity financing cost;The higher the EsG performance,the lower the debt financing *** addition,it also discussed the moderating effect of enterprise scale and media attention on the impact of EsG performance on enterprise financing *** empirical results show that the influence of company size on EsG performance on financing costs has a moderating effect and a positive moderating effect.

spatial correlations between urbanization and river water pollution in the heavily polluted area of Taihu Lake Basin, China

Water pollution in the Taihu Lake Basin has been the focus of attention in China and abroad for a long time, due to its position in the forefront of urban development in China. Based on data gathering and processing from 84 monitoring sections in this heavily polluted area, this study first analyzes spatial patterns of urbanization and the distribution of river water pollution, and then uses the GeoDa bivariate spatial autocorrelation model to investigate the spatial correlation between urbanization and river water pollution at the scale of township units. The results show that urbanization has adverse impacts on water pollution, and the influence varies in different levels of development areas. The urban township units have the highest level of urbanization and highest pollution, but the best water quality; the suburban units have lower level of urbanization, but higher pollution and worse water quality; however the rural units have the lowest level of urbanization and lowest pollution, mainly affected by upstream pollution, but worst water quality. Lastly, urban and rural planning committees, while actively promoting the process of development in the region, should gradually resolve the issue of pollution control lagging behind urban life and urban develop- ment, giving priority to construction of centralized sewage treatment facilities and associated pipeline network coverage in the rural areas and suburban areas.

HAs THE PEARL RIVER DELTA BEEN AN EXPORT-ORIENTED ECONOMY?

Ever since the introduction of the Open Door Policy, the Pearl River Delta (PRD) has enjoyed very phenomenal export and economic growth. As a result, many scholars have tried to associate the two phenomena and described the region as an,'export-oriented economy'.However, these studies, mostly based on the rapid export growth of the PRD and its status as the most important exporting area of the country,have not paid any heed to the actual export-orientation of the regional economy and, hence, cannot prove that the PRD has been a 'truly'export-oriented economy. in view of these shortcomings. the present paper attempts to re-examine the issue from the viewpoint of the PRD's local economy, at both the regional and county levels. The study period is from 1981 to 1990. Judging from the export-dependency indices and the relative importance of exports in accounting for the economic growth and industrialization of the PRD, this paper concludes that the region, though having signs of increasing export-orientation, cannot be categorized as a 'truly' export-oriented economy. In addition, it also shows that most of the 'evidences' or 'common beliefs' behind the notion of an export-oriented economy in the RD are illusionary, if not erroneous. Finally, the paper explores into the reasons behind the low export-orientation of the PRD and tries to sugyst some ways for boosting the export-orientation of the PRD and tries to suggest some ways for boosting the export-orientation of the region.

The clinical utility of preoperative surgical risk indices and ICU bed allocation on outcomes of noncardiac surgical patients: A cohort study

summary statement: In non-cardiac surgical patients, respiratory failure index and intensivists’ (expert) opinion predicted postoperative mortality and respiratory failure. Intermediate risk patients allocated to postoperative ICU care vs. surgical high intensity care demonstrated increasing lengths of hospital stay. Background: No guidance exists for allocating post-operative ICU resources for patients undergoing non-cardiac surgery. We determined the predictive value of preoperative risk sores and “expert opinion” in predicting postoperative mortality and complications. Methods: A cohort study involving 403 adults undergoing elective noncardiac surgery and being assessed in a preoperative clinic within a university affiliated tertiary care hospital. Postoperative outcomes included 30-day mortality, respiratory failure at 48-hours, unplanned intubation, cardiac composite score, hospital length of stay, hypotension, hypertension, and delirium. Results: Preoperative respiratory failure index (PRFI) predicted 30-day mortality (OR 1.11, 95% CI 1.04 to 1.19). An intensivist’s opinion predicted respiratory failure 48-hour postoperatively (OR 28.70, 95% CI 7.44 to 110.70). Patients with an equivalent PRFI risk had a longer hospital stay (17.2 v. 8.9 days, P = 0.01), increased respiratory failure risk (P = 0.009), hypertension (P = 0.009), hypotension (P = 0.005) and delirium (P = 0.05) if allocated to an ICU bed versus a high-intensity bed. Conclusions: PRFI predicts 30-day postoperative mortality and cardiac events. A decision to allocate an ICU bed predicted the development of postoperative respiratory failure. Patients with an intermediate PRFI risk and allocated to an ICU demonstrated increasing lengths of hospital stay and morbidity.
