Contact binaries at various stag.s of evolution unveil various operating.mechanisms that drive *** report the photometric and period variation analysis of two contact binaries EV Cnc and AH Cnc in open cluster *** observed the cluster from the JCBT 1.3 m telescope and utilized TESS and Kepler *** photometric solutions of EV Cnc and AH Cnc revealed a mass ratio of q～0.41 and～0.15 with an inclination of i=42°and87°*** solutions sug.est that EV Cnc is probably a semi-detached and AH Cnc is a deep low-mass ratio contact *** study of O-C variation analysis indicates that for both systems,the period is increasing.which sug.ests the mass transfer is occurring.from secondary to *** the case of AH Cnc and based on simulations by randomly varying.the time of minima to fit the LITE solution,we noted the third body orbital period to be around P3=26.82±2.54 yr,which is different from earlier reported values and conclude that future observations are required to confirm this *** compare these two systems with other similar contact binaries to g.t an estimate of the final config.ration of the respective systems.

In this work, the localization, density, morpholog. and ultrastructure of secretory structures in aerial org.ns of Flourensia campestris (FC) and F. oolepis (FO) (Asteraceae) by means of a combination of lig.t, fluorescence, transmission (TEM) and scanning.electron microscopy (SEM) were examined. The possible role of secretory structures in the production and secretion of the phytotoxic sesquiterpene (-)-hamanasic acid A ((-)HAA) in both species was also assessed. Capitate g.andular trichomes were found in all reproductive org.ns of FC and FO, and were being.reported for the first time. These g.andular trichomes, typically associated to edg.s and veins, were of the same type as those already described for veg.tative org.ns, and were abundant in involucral bracts and corolla of tubulose and lig.late flowers. Their density in reproductive org.ns of both species was similar (ca. 30/mm2) and lower than that found in leaves (ca. 100/mm2) and stems (ca. 160/mm2 in FC, and up to 650/mm2 in FO). g.andular trichomes in veg.tative org.ns followed a species-specific pattern of distribution. TEM and SEM observations sug.est that each species differs in the way in which secretory materials are released to the outside: throug. cracks or pores in FC, or throug. a loose cuticle in FO. Similar inspections of the secretory ducts revealed lipophilic vacuoles localized in subepithelial and epithelial cells, in which secretions accumulated before being.transferred to the duct. The presence of wall ing.owths in subepithelial cells sug.ests that g.anulocrine secretion operates in these species. Secretory ducts varied in density and diameter among.the org.ns in both species, with the combination being.maximal in woody stems. (-)HAA was only detected in surface secreted resins of both species, and its concentration (2D-TLC, g.-FID) was intimately associated with the distribution and density of g.andular trichomes in each org.n (capitula, leaves, and stems with primary or secondary g.owth).

The results presented here show for the first time the experimental demonstration of the fabrication of lossy mode resonance(LMR) devices based on perovskite coating. deposited on planar waveg.ides. Perovskite thin films have been obtained by means of the spin coating.technique and their presence was confirmed by ellipsometry, scanning.electron microscopy, and X-ray diffraction testing. The LMRs can be g.nerated in a wide waveleng.h rang. and the experimental results ag.ee with the theoretical simulations. Overall, this study hig.lig.ts the potential of perovskite thin films for the development of novel LMR-based devices that can be used for environmental monitoring. industrial sensing. and g.s detection, among.other applications.

Strong.evidence supports the benefits of reg.lar physical activity/exercise for the prevention and manag.ment of numerous non-communicable diseases.^(1,2)However,despite important advances(particularly the implementation of complex“omics”approaches),the underlying.molecular mechanisms remain to be clearly *** the past decade,the role of exerkines—a myriad of sig.aling.moieties(e.g.,mainly cytokines but also other small peptides,peptides,nucleic acids,lipids,or metabolites,among.others)released by muscles(myokines)and other tissues in response to exercise that induces endocrine(at the multisystem level),paracrine,or autocrine effects—has g.ined attention.^(3,4)Indeed it has been proposed that some of the salutary effects of reg.lar exercise(i.e.,repeated sessions of acute exercise)mig.t be due,at least partly,to the prog.essive accumulation of frequent,acute episodes of exerkine release.^(5)

The history of the relationship between Spiritism and Catholicism in Brazil can be traced throug. pivotal moments in the trajectory of the First Republic and the relig.ous field since the 19th century,reflecting.Brazil’s evolution into a modern,urban,and industrial *** to Brazil in the 1880s,Spiritism initially faced severe opposition from the Catholic Church,being.dismissed as superstition and demon worship due to its eng.g.ment with death and *** Christianity,Spiritism denies the divinity of Jesus,the resurrection,and the sanctity of Church sacraments,viewing.demons and ang.ls merely as disembodied souls at different spiritual *** perceptions were further complicated by the mixing.of Spiritism with African and indig.nous rites,which led critics to associate it with madness and mental health ***,the relationship between Catholicism and Spiritism in Brazil has evolved positively,particularly following.the popularization of Spiritism by fig.res like Chico *** Brazilian society,characterized by increased education and relig.ous syncretism,has g.own more tolerant of diverse practices and beliefs,diminishing.historical prejudices ag.inst *** qualitative study,drawing.on scholarly research and first-hand interviews,reveals that Spiritism's acceptance among.Brazilian Catholics is due to its converg.nce with contemporary social values and the evolving.profile of the averag. *** possessing.a relig.on-like character,Spiritism is seen less as a distinct relig.on and more as a complementary set of practices and beliefs that enhance Catholic *** phenomenon mirrors the integ.ation of Ag.ma Hindu practices,reinforcing.rather than undermining.traditional relig.ous identities.

Mig.atory connectivity describes the linkag. between breeding.and nonbreeding.sites,having.major ecolog.cal implications in birds:1 season influence the success of an individual or a population in the following.*** studies on mig.atory connectivity have used larg.-scale approaches,often considering.reg.onal populations,but fine-scale studies are also necessary to understand colony *** lesser kestrel Falco naumanni,an insectivorous mig.atory raptor which form colonies during.the breeding.period,was considered to have strong.connectivity based on reg.onal ***,no small-scale studies on mig.atory connectivity have been ***,we g.S(g.obal Positioning.System)-tracked 40 adult lesser kestrels from 15 different Spanish breeding.colonies,estimating.the overlap index between home rang.s and the distance between their *** was found that lesser kestrels from the same breeding.colony placed their nonbreeding.areas at 347±281 km(mean±standard deviation)away from each other(rang.=23-990),and their home rang.s over-lapped by 38.4±23.6%.No differences between intra-colony and inter-colony metrics were found,which sug.ests that lesser kestrels from the same breeding.cluster do not overwinter tog.ther,but they spread out and mixed independently of the colony belong.ng.throug.out the nonbreeding.rang. of the ***,this study hig.lig.ts the importance of performing.connectivity studies using.fine-scale approaches.
