Capillary electrophoresis to determine entrapment efficiency of a nanostructured lipid carrier loaded with piroxicam

A simple and fast capillary electrophoresis method has been developed to determine the amount of piroxicam loaded in a drug delivery system based on nanostructured lipid carriers（NLCs）.The entrapment efficiency of the nanostructured lipid carrier was estimated by measuring the concentration of drug not entrapped in a suspension of *** influence of different parameters on migration times,peak symmetry,efficiency and resolution was studied;these parameters included the pH of the electrophoretic buffer solution and the applied *** piroxicam peak was obtained with a satisfactory *** separation was carried out using a running buffer composed of 50 mM ammonium acetate and 13.75 mM ammonia at pH *** optimal voltage was 20 kV and the cartridge temperature was 20 ℃.The corresponding calibration curve was linear over the range of 2.7-5.4 μg/mL of NLC *** reproducibility of migration time and peak area were investigated,and the obtained RSD%values（n = 5） were 0.99 and ***.

Quality of service(QoS)for internet trafic management requires good trafic models and good estimation of sharing network resource.A link of a network processes all trafic and it is designed with certain capacity C and buffer size B.A Generalized Markov Fluid model(GMFM),introduced by Marr6n(2012),is assumed for the sources because it describes in a versatile way the traffic,allows estimation based on traffic traces,and also consistent effective bandwidth(EB)estimation can be ***,interpreted as buffer overflow probability,can be estimated for GMFM through the EB estimation and solving the optimization problem presented in Courcoubetis and Siris[***.48:5-23,2002],the so-called inf-sup *** this work,we implement a code to solve the inf-sup problem and other optimization related with it,that allow us to do traffic engineering in links of data networks to calculate both,minimum capacity required w hen QoS and buffer size are given or minimum buffer size required when QoS and capacity are given.

The Generalized Markov Fluid Model(GMFM)is assumed for modeling sources in the network because it is versatile to describe the traffic *** order to estimate resources allocations or in other words the channel occupation of each source,the concept of effective bandwidth(EB)proposed by Kelly is *** this paper we use an expression to determine the EB for this model which is of particular interest because it allows expressing said magnitude depending on the parameters of the *** paper provides EB estimates for this model applying Kernel Estimation techniques in data *** particular we will study two differentiated cases:dispatches following a Gaussian and Exponential *** performance of the proposed method is analyzed using simulated traffic traces generated by Monte Carlo Markov Chain *** estimation process worked much better in the Gaussian distribution case than in the Exponential one.

Risk of colorectal polyps in patients with sporadic gastric polyps:A case-control study

AIM:To assess the risk of colonic polyps,adenomas and advanced neoplastic lesions(ANL) in patients with sporadic gastric polyps,especially those with fundic gland polyps(FGP).METHODS:Clinical records of patients who had performed an upper and a lower digestive endoscopy between September 2007 and August 2008 were retrospectively analyzed.A case-control study was carried out,calling patients with gastric polyps as 'cases' and patients without gastric polyps as 'controls'.The risk of colonic polyps,adenomas and ANL(villous component ≥ 25%,size ≥ 10 mm,or high grade dysplasia) was assessed [odds ratio(OR) and its corresponding 95%CI].RESULTS:Two hundred and forty seven patients were analyzed:78 with gastric polyps(cases) and 169 without gastric polyps(controls).Among the cases,the majority of gastric polyps were FGP(80%,CI:69-88) and hyperplastic(20%,CI:12-31);25% had colonic polyps(25% hyperplastic and 68% adenomas,from which 45% were ANL).Among the controls,20% had colonic polyps(31% hyperplastic and 63% adenomas,from which 41% were ANL).The patients with sporadic FGP had an OR of 1.56(CI:0.80-3.04) for colonic polyps,an OR of 1.78(CI:0.82-3.84) for colonic adenomas,and an OR of 0.80(CI:0.21-2.98) for *** results were found in patients with gastric polyps in ***:The results of this study did not show more risk of colorectal adenomas or ANL neither in patients with sporadic gastric polyps nor in those with FGP.
