A Hybrid Neural Network and Box-Jenkins models for Time Series Forecasting

Time series forecasting plays a significant role in numerous applications,including but not limited to,industrial planning,water consumption,medical domains,exchange rates and consumer price *** main problem is insufficient forecasting *** present study proposes a hybrid forecastingmethods to address this *** proposed method includes three *** first model is based on the autoregressive integrated moving average(ARImA)statistical model;the second model is a back propagation neural network(BPNN)with adaptive slope and momentum parameters;and the thirdmodel is a hybridization between ARImA and BPNN(ARImA/BPNN)and artificial neural networks and ARImA(ARImA/ANN)to gain the benefits of linear and *** forecasting models proposed in this study are used to predict the indices of the consumer price index(CPI),and predict the expected number of cancer patients in the Ibb Province in *** standard measures used to evaluate the proposed method include(i)mean square error,(ii)mean absolute error,(iii)root mean square error,and(iv)mean absolute percentage *** on the computational results,the improvement rate of forecasting the CPI dataset was 5%,71%,and 4%for ARImA/BPNN model,ARImA/ANN model,and BPNN model respectively;while the result for cancer patients’dataset was 7%,200%,and 19%for ARImA/BPNNmodel,ARImA/ANN model,and BPNNmodel ***,it is obvious that the proposed method reduced the randomness degree,and the alterations affected the time series with data *** ARImA/ANN model outperformed each of its components when it was applied separately in terms of increasing the accuracy of forecasting and decreasing the overall errors of forecasting.

Date palm fiber(DPF)derived from agrowaste was utilized as a new precursor for the optimized synthesis of a costeffective,nanostructured,powderactivated carbon(nPAC)for aluminum.al3+)removal from aqueous solutions using carbonization,KOH activation,response surface methodology(RSm)and central composite design(CCD).The optimum synthesis condition,activation temperature,time and impregnation ratio were found to be 650℃,1.09 hour and 1:1,***,the optimum conditions for removal were 99.5%and 9.958 mgg 1 in regard to uptake *** optimum conditions of nPAC was analyzed and characterized using XRD,FTIR,FESEm,BET,TGA and Zeta ***,the adsorption of the al3+conditions was optimized with an integrated RSmCCD experimental *** results revealed that the adsorption kinetics data was well fitted by the pseudosecond order model,whereas the adsorption isotherm data was best represented by the Freundlich isotherm *** activated carbon indicated that DPF can serve as a costeffective precursor adsorbent for al^(3+)removal.

Energy transfer in solid-state dye lasers based on methyl methacrylate co-doped with sulforhodamine B and crystal violet

Laser action in methyl methacrylate （mmA） co-doped with sulforhodamine B and crystal violet dyes was investi- gated. The dye mixture was incorporated into a solid polymeric matrix and was pumped by a 532-nm Nd：YAG laser. Distributed feedback dye laser （DFDL） action was induced in the dye mixture using a prism arrangement both in the donor and acceptor regions by an energy transfer mechanism. Theoretically, the characteristics of acceptor and donor DFDLs, and the dependence of their pulse widths and output powers on acceptor-donor concentrations and pump power, were studied. Experimentally, the output energy of DFDL was measured at the emission peaks of donor and acceptor dyes for different pump powers and different acceptor-donor concentrations. Tuning of the output wavelength was achieved by varying the period of the gain modulation of the laser medium. The laser wavelength showed continuous tunability from 563 nm to 648 nm.

Biodegradation of p-cresol by aerobic granules in sequencing batch reactor

The cultivation of aerobic granules in sequencing batch reactor for the biodegradation of p-cresol was studied. The reactor was started with 100 mg/L of p-cresol. Aerobic granules first appeared within one month of start up. The granules were large and strong and had a compact structure. The diameter of stable granules was in the range of 1-5 mm. The integrity coefficient and granules density was found to be 96% and 1046 kg/m3, raspectively, The settling velocity of granules was found to be in the range of 2×10^-2-6×10^-7 m/sec. The aerobic granules were able to degrade p-cresol upto 800 mg/L at a removal efficiency of 88%. Specific p-cresol degradation rate in aerobic granules followed Haldane model for substrate inhibition, High specific p-cresol degradation rate up to 0,96 g pcresol/（g ***） were sustained upto p-cresol concentration of 400 mg/L, Higher removal efficiency, good settling characteristics of aerobic granules, makes sequencing batch reactor suitable for erLhaneing the microorganism potential for biodegradation of inhibitory compounds.

We conducted a systematic review andmeta-analysis to determine the prevalence of depression among elderly people living with *** searched electronic databases and included 12 observational studies that reported on depression among people who were 50 years of age or older and had *** studies were mostly hospital-based and fromWestern and African *** included a total of 5868 older peoplewith HIV,ofwhom 1667 had *** prevalence of depression was 28%with heterogeneity of 95.2%.Prevalence ranged from 14.5%in the Netherlands to 42.4%in South *** therewas asymmetry in the funnel plot,the Egger’s test showed no significant publication *** meta-analysis found a high burden of depression among older people with *** health services addressing psychosocial needs and interventions to prevent and treat depression are needed,especially in community *** providers and policymakers should address the prevalence of depression in such communities.

Studies on Degradation of Diquat Pesticide in Aqueous Solutions Using Electrochemical method

The C/PbO2 electrode assisted electrochemical removal of diquat dibromide herbicides solutions has been the subject of the present investigation under several operating conditions. The optimum conditions of the treatment process are: current density of 150 mA/cm2, pH 2.2, NaCl concentration 2 g/L, temperature of 10?C and initial diquat concentration of 50 mg/L. The time of electrolysis is 60 min for degradation rate of diquat and chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal is 210 min. The results were obtained by UV-Vis spectrophotometer and the present designed electrode was coincident.

BACKGROUND Primary hepatic leiomyosarcoma(PHL)is a rare tumor with a very low incidence of about 0.2%.CASE SUmmARY A 48-year-old diabetic,hypertensive,and morbidly obese female patient presented with a history of abdominal pain and weight loss for 2 *** had no history of fever,jaundice,or other liver disease(s).Clinical examination revealed a palpable mass in the *** evaluation with a contrast-enhanced computed tomography(CT)scan of the abdomen and pelvis revealed an illdefined enhancing hyper vascular hepatic mass of 9.9 cm×7.8 cm occupying the left hepatic lobe with evidence of central necrosis,compression effect on the left hepatic vein,and partial wash-out on delayed *** further workup,the maximum standardized uptake value on positron emission computed tomography scan was 6.4,which was suggestive of *** remaining part of the liver was normal without any evidence of ***-guided biopsy of the mass showed smooth muscle neoplasm suggestive of *** optimization for co-morbidities,an extended left hepatectomy was planned in a multidisciplinary team *** intraoperative ultrasound,the left hepatic lobe was entirely replaced by a large tumor extending to the caudate lobe with a compression effect on the middle and left hepatic *** histopathology showed nodular and whorled white tumor comprised of spind-led/fascicular cells with moderate to severe pleomorphism and focal *** mitotic index was greater than 20 mitoses per 10 high-power *** resection margins were free of ***(IHC)depicted a desmin-positive/caldesmon-negative/discovered on gastrointestinal stromal tumor 1-negative/cluster of differentiation 117-negative profile,confirming the definitive diagnosis as *** This case report highlights the rare malignant mesenchymal hepatic *** confirm PHL diagnosis,one requires peculiar histopathological findings with ancillary IHC confirmation.m
