The study evaluated the growth performance and carcass quality of CObb500 broilers fed two experimental rations incorporating feed and mango fine EDb>10b> for a batch of 83 birds, EDb>20b> (batch of 83 birds) in comparison with a commercial control ration CCD (84 birds). For this purpose, 250 day-old chicks of this breed were purchased in Korhogo and transported to Tengréla in Ivory Coast for rearing. The results show that substituting mango provender ans and mango seed flour for maize resulted in rations with costs per kgMS of 215.35FCFA, 2016.93FCFA and 320FCFA for the EDb>10b>, EDb>20b> and CCD rations respectively. The production costs per kg of chicken (FCPkgLW) of the CCD ration were significantly higher than those of the ED10 and EDb>20b> (p 0.05). ADGs were significantly different and decreasing from CCD, EDb>20b> to EDb>10b> (p 0.05). Average weights at 42nd day for EDb>20b> and CCD were homogeneous (p > 0.05) and significantly higher than for EDb>10b> (p 0.05). by day 49th the average weight of EDb>20b> had reached and exceeded that of CCD by day 42nd. PSLW, HCW and CCW were significantly different and decreasing from CCW, EDb>20b> to EDb>10b> (p 0.05). Average hot (HCY) and cooled (CCY) carcass yields of EDb>20b> and CCD rations were comparable (p > 0.05) and significantly higher than those of EDb>10b> ration (p = 0.009) and 0.003). Average drumstick and neck weights were significantly higher and lower for CCD, EDb>20b> and EDb>10b> (p 0.05). For all other parts of the cut, the average weights of the CCD ration were significantly higher (p 0.05) than those of the EDb>20b> and EDb>10b> rations, which were homogeneous (p 0.05). The fight against insalubrity in large urban and peri-urban agglomerations is a major challenge in developing countries. This problem is compounded by that of sustainable waste management mechanisms. Indeed, the current waste collection system in Guinea has proved inadequate, as moving garbage from point “A” to point “b” is tantamount to “moving the problem”. The aim of this experimental work is to demonstrate the cost-effectiveness and benefits of sustainable waste management. As part of this drive to valorize biodegradable waste, the Waste Management Research Center has undertaken a series of activities ranging from composting organic waste to testing compost on certain crop varieties. An experimental field of 8024 m2 was laid out and treated with 1500 Kg of fine compost in doses ranging from 2.5 to 5 T/ha. Two crop varieties, eggplant and chili, were tested. Compost application increased production yields: 15 to 21 tonnes of eggplant and 10.4 to 11.1 tonnes of chili per hectare. Growth rates compared with usual yields varied from 50% to 64% and from 11% to 17% for eggplant and chili, respectively. This study resulted in an optimum compost dose of 2.5 T/ha for this phase.

Introduction: OSD is a growth osteochondrosis affecting the apophyseal cartilage of the anterior tibial tuberosity of the knee, 20 to 30% of young growing athletes suffer from this pathology, described by Osgood and Schlatter in 1903. Objective: To report 2 observations and review the literature. Observation 1: This was a 14-year-old Guinean teenager, Halpoular, living in Conakry, a right-handed footballer who presented with a painful swelling of the right knee that looked mechanical, whose father had HLA b27 positive ankylosing spondylitis. X-ray of the right knee showed fragmentation of the anterior tibial tuberosities, and ossicle with edema of the patellar tendons at stage 4 according to Ehrenbord and Lagergren (1961). Thus, the disease of OSD is retained, He received 120 mg of diclofenac, 20 mg omeprazole for 1 month and the cessation of sports activity, the evolution was favorably marked by the regression of pain. Observation 2: A 16-year-old girl, initials M.L.T, Guinean, residing in Coyah (Republic of Guinea), a handball player, consulted for intense pain (VAS: 8/10) in her knees after a violent shock received when she hit the post. The physical examination found a painful, soft swelling at the anterior tibial tuberosity of the right knee, the rest of the examination was normal. The X-ray of the right knee shows fragmentation of the anterior tibial tuberosity, and ossicle with edema of the patellar tendon at stage 4 according to Ehrenbord and Lagergren 1961, thus the OSD disease is retained, the treatment instituted was 120 mg of diclofenac, the cessation of sports activity which gives a good evolution (EVA at 2/10). Conclusion: OSD is a growth osteochondrosis affecting the apophyseal cartilage of the anterior tibial tuberosity of the knee in young growing athletes, resolving at rest.

The growth of Fe nanoclusters oN the Ge（001） surface has been studied using low-temperature scanning tunneling microscopy （STM） and density functional theory （DFT） calculations. STM results indicate that Fe nucleates on the Ge（001） surface, forming well-ordered nanoclusters of uniform size. Depending on the preparation conditions, two types of nanoclusters were observed having either four or sixteen Fe atoms within a nanocluster. The results were confirmed by DFT calculations. Annealing the nanoclusters at 420 K leads to the formation of nanorow structures, due to cluster mobility at such temperature. The Fe nanoclusters and nanorow structures formed on the Ge（001） surface show a superparamagnetic behaviour as measured by X-ray magnetic circular dichroism.

Objectives:Little is known about the differences between urban and rural gamblers in Australia,in terms of comorbidity and treatment *** disparities exist between urban and rural areas in terms of accessibility,availability,and acceptability of treatment programs for problem ***,evidence supporting cognitivebehaviour therapy as the main treatment for problem gamblers is *** pilot study aimed to assess the outcome of a Cognitive-behavioural Therapy(CbT)treatment program offered to urban and rural treatment-seeking ***:People who presented for treatment at a nurse-led Cognitive-behavioural Therapy(CbT)gambling treatment service were invited to take part in this study.A standardised clinical assessment and treatment service was provided to all participants.A series of validated questionnaires were given to all participants at(a)assessment,(b)discharge,(c)at a one-month,and(d)at a 3-month follow-up ***:Differences emerged between urban and rural treatment-seeking *** overall treatment outcomes were much the same at three months after treatment,rural gamblers appeared to respond more rapidly and to have sustained improvements over ***:This study suggests that rural problem gamblers experience different levels of co-morbid anxiety and depression from their urban counterparts,but once in treatment appear to respond *** approach was found to be effective in treating rural gamblers and outcomes were *** better availability and access to such treatment in rural areas is *** are in a position as the majority health professional in rural areas to provide such help.

A simple nitrobenzyl-umbelliferone （NCOU1） was synthesised containing a nitroreductase （NTR） trigger moiety. The presence of NTR, resulted in the fragmentation of the parent molecule and release of the highly emissive fluorophore umbelliferone via an NTR-catalyzed reduction of the nitro group. In the presence of the NTR enzyme, NCOU1 gave rise to a 5-fold increase in fluorescence intensity at 455 nm and was selective for NTR over other reductive enzymes. These results indicate that NCOU1 can be used as a simple assay for the detection of NTR.

The application of decomposable organic residues such as manure and crop litter is generally beneficial to *** is an emerging interest in applying biochar,a carbonaceous product of pyrolysis,to temperate agricultural *** slow decomposition rate of biochar,which also contains ash and combustion byproducts,could be detrimental to *** objective of this study was to describe the earthworm populations in biochar-amended soils on a dairy farm in the *** River watershed,Quebec,*** were collected from replicated field plots under cereal *** A received three wood-based biochar types at two application rates(5 and 10 t ha^(-1) biochar)plus an unamended control,while Site b received wood-based biochar(7.5 t ha^(-1) biochar),dairy cattle slurry(10 t ha^(-1) manure),or a combination of the biochar and manure rates plus an unamended *** were collected by hand sorting and formaldehyde expulsion from soil *** species,Aporrectodea turgida,Aporrectodea tuberculata,and Lumbricus rubellus,were found at the sites,and Aporrectodea was the dominant *** sources,rates,and application with dairy slurry did not affect the earthworm population,which had 52-218 individuals m^(-2) in 2010 and 4-96 individuals m^(-2) in *** seasonal variation in earthworm population may be due to flooding in the spring of 2011,which apparently interfered with earthworm *** similarity in earthworm abundance and biomass in plots with and without wood-based biochar leads to the conclusion that earthworm populations are stable in biochar-amended soils in this cold,humid temperate region.
