The fight against insalubrity in large urban and peri-urban agglomerations is a major challenge in developing countries. This problem is compounded by that of sustainable waste management mechanisms. Indeed, the current waste collection system in Guinea has proved inadequate, as moving garbage from point “A” to point “B” is tantamount to “moving the problem”. The aim of this experimental work is to demonstrate the cost-effectiveness and benefits of sustainable waste management. As part of this drive to valorize biodegradable waste, the Waste Management Research Center has undertaken a series of activities ranging from composting organic waste to testing compost on certain crop varieties. An experimental field of 8024 m2 was laid out and treated with 1500 Kg of fine compost in doses ranging from 2.5 to 5 T/ha. Two crop varieties, eggplant and chili, were tested. Compost application increased production yields: 15 to 21 tonnes of eggplant and 10.4 to 11.1 tonnes of chili per hectare. Growth rates compared with usual yields varied from 50% to 64% and from 11% to 17% for eggplant and chili, respectively. This study resulted in an optimum compost dose of 2.5 T/ha for this phase.

This article presents the results of comparative study of two PV solar modules technologies,namely monofacial and *** study main objective is to identify conditions and parameters that make it possible to obtain better energy and economic efficiency from one or other of two *** study reason lies in revival observed on bifacial module in recent years where all the major manufacturers of PV solar panels are developing them where in a few years,this technology risks being at the same price as the monofacial solar panel with better *** indicator used is energy levelized cost(LCOE)which is function technology type,energy productivity,annual investment and operation *** achieve this,a 3.685 MWc solar PV power plant was dimensioned and simulated under Matlab for a 3.5 ha site with a 2,320,740,602 FCFA budget for monofacial installation,against 1,925,188,640 FCFA for 2.73 MWc bifacial *** LCOE comparative analysis of two technologies calculated over a period of 25 years,showed that plant with bifacial panels is more beneficial if bifacial gain is greater than 9%.It has further been found that it is possible to gain up to 40%of invested cost if bifacial gain reaches 45%.Finally,a loss of about 10%of invested cost could be recorded if bifacial gain is less than 9%.

This study aims to analyze the development of small-scale irrigation using shallow groundwater in Nahouri province (south-central Burkina Faso). The methodological approach adopted was essentially based firstly on semi-structured surveys with producers who have adopted sump technology and the monitoring of groundwater level using the installed piezometers and secondly on geophysical prospection. Results obtained show that market gardening is mainly a family activity practiced on plots of 0.20 ha with a predominance of pepper cultivation occupying about 75% of cultivated areas. It was also highlighted that this agricultural activity faces several constraints that delay its development. These include: lack of water, land insecurity, small and fragmented farms and difficulty in selling products when they are put on local markets at the very same time as significant price drops. This problem is accentuated by the perishable nature of these market garden products. Despite these limiting factors, there is some satisfaction considering the income earned by farmers, most of whom are able to meet their primary needs. This work made it possible to conclude that even in zones which are not sedimentary formations, it is possible to mobilize groundwater, at a reasonable depth for agricultural purposes, without much effort to practice additional irrigation, knowing that evaporation carries harm to the use of dams.

＜正＞Purpose: Radiation induced bystander effects may play an important role in cancer risks associated with environmental, occupational and medical exposures and they may also present a therapeutic opportunity to modulate the efficacy of radiotherapy. However the mechanisms underpinning these responses in tumor and normal cells are poorly understood. This study investigated the signalling factors involved in the bystander response of chromosome damage in the cell lines with different genotypes. Methods: The development of microbeams has allowed individual cells to be targeted at specific subcellular locations with precise doses of radiation. We report the discovery of KMT-2020-BLG-0414 Lb,with a planet-to-host mass ratio q2=0.9-1.2×10-5=3-4 q⊕at 1σ,which is the lowest mass-ratio microlensing planet to *** with two other recent discoveries(4?q/q⊕?6),it fills out the previous empty sector at the bottom of the triangular(log s,log q)diagram,where s is the planet-host separation in units of the angular Einstein radiusθ***,these discoveries call into question the existence,or at least the strength,of the break in the mass-ratio function that was previously suggested to account for the paucity of very low-q *** to the extreme magnification of the event,Amax~1450 for the underlying single-lens event,its light curve revealed a second companion with q3~0.05 and|log s3|~1,i.e.,a factor~10 closer to or farther from the host in *** measurements of the microlens parallaxπE and the angular Einstein radiusθE allow estimates of the host,planet and second companion masses,(M1,M2,M3)~(0.3 M⊙,1.0 M⊕,17 MJ),the planet and second companion projected separations,(a⊥,2,a⊥,3)~(1.5,0.15 or 15)au,and system distance DL~1 *** lens could account for most or all of the blended light(I~19.3)and so can be studied immediately with high-resolution photometric and spectroscopic observations that can further clarify the nature of the *** planet was found as part of a new program of high-cadence follow-up observations of high-magnification *** detection of this planet,despite the considerable difficulties imposed by COVID-19(two KMT sites and OGLE were shut down),illustrates the potential utility of this program.

We present a narrative of the eruptive events culminating in the cataclysmic January 15, 2022 eruption of Hunga Tonga-Hunga ha’apai Volcano by synthesizing diverse preliminary seismic, volcanological, sound wave, and lightning data available within the first few weeks after the eruption occurred. The first hour of eruptive activity produced fast-propagating tsunami waves, long-period seismic waves, loud audible sound waves, infrasonic waves, exceptionally intense volcanic lightning and an unsteady volcanic plume that transiently reached-at 58km-the Earth’s mesosphere. Energetic seismic signals were recorded worldwide and the globally stacked seismogram showed episodic seismic events within the most intense periods of phreatoplinian activity, and they correlated well with the infrasound pressure waveform recorded in Fiji. Gravity wave signals were strong enough to be observed over the entire planet in just the first few hours, with some circling the Earth multiple times subsequently. These large-amplitude, long-wavelength atmospheric disturbances come from the Earth’s atmosphere being forced by the magmatic mixture of tephra, melt and gasses emitted by the unsteady but quasicontinuous eruption from 0402±1–1800 UTC on January 15, 2022. Atmospheric forcing lasted much longer than rupturing from large earthquakes recorded on modern instruments, producing a type of shock wave that originated from the interaction between compressed air and ambient(wavy) sea surface. This scenario differs from conventional ideas of earthquake slip, landslides, or caldera collapse-generated tsunami waves because of the enormous(~1000x) volumetric change due to the supercritical nature of volatiles associated with the hot,volatile-rich phreatoplinian plume. The time series of plume altitude can be translated to volumetric discharge and mass flow rate. For an eruption duration of ~12 h, the eruptive volume and mass are estimated at 1.9 km^(3) and~2 900 Tg, respectively, corresponding to a VEI
