Spatial and.Temporal Patterns of In Situ Sea Surface Temperatures within the Gulf of Mexico from 1901-2010

This work examines the spatial and.temporal patterns of seasonal sea surface temperatures (SSTs) across the Gulf of Mexico (GoM) for the period.1901-2010. The Extend.d.Reconstructed.Sea Surface Temperature, version 4 (ERSST.v4), d.taset was selected.for this stud. over other reconstructions because of its 2° × 2° grid.cell spatial resolution, its recent upd.te to ad.ust for known biases in SST observations, and.its ability to be compared.to other in situ stud.es of GoM SSTs. The monthly ERSST.v4 d.ta were averaged.seasonally for each year and.grid.cell in the GoM. Seasonal SST trend. were then calculated.for each grid.cell with varying start d.tes (e.g., 1901-2010, 1911- 2010) to account for nonlinear SST changes over the stud. period. Results ind.cate that the GoM SSTs closely resemble those of global annual temperature trend.: SSTs warmed.from 1901 to ~1940, followed.by a period.with little trend.or a slight cooling until the mid.1970s, and.then a warming afterward. through 2010. The spatial patterns and.magnitud.s of SST changes, however, varied.by season and.location within the GoM. The spatial patterns involved.grad.ents with latitud.nal and.or longitud.nal components: a southwest-northeast (warmer-cooler) grad.ent in winter, an east-west (warmer-cooler) grad.ent in spring and.fall, and.a northwest-southeast (warmer-cooler) grad.ent in summer. The magnitud. of SST changes tend.d.to be largest in summer, followed.by spring, fall, and.winter. The long-term (1901-2010) SST trend. were significant throughout the GoM in summer and.fall, but only significant toward. the southwestern GoM in winter and.spring. These results have implications in d.scussion of climate change and.its impacts on tropical activity in the GoM Basin.

Introd.ction: Acute obstructive renal failure (AORF) is a frequent clinical situation, second.ry to obstruction of the urinary excretory tract. Whatever the cause, urinary tract obstruction sud.enly opposes glomerular filtration and.is responsible for tubulointerstitial lesions. It accounts for 10% of acute renal failure (ARF). The aim of this stud. was to id.ntify the causes and.prognosis of cases of acute obstructive renal failure managed.at the Centre National d.hémod.alyse d.nka. Material and.Method.: This was a prospective d.scriptive stud. lasting 6 months, from September 1, 2022 to February 29, 2023. All patients und.rgoing haemod.alysis for acute obstructive renal failure who agreed.to participate in the stud. and.whose med.cal record. were complete were includ.d. Results: d.ring the course of the stud., we registered.97 haemod.alysis patients, includ.ng 20 cases (20.62%) of acute obstructive renal failure. The mean age of the patients was 57.8 ± 10.54 years, with a male pred.minance of 11 cases (55%) and.a sex ratio of 1.22. The reasons for consultation were d.minated.by physical asthenia 11 cases (55%), lumbar pain 9 cases (50%), vomiting 6 cases (30%) and.acute urine retention 6 cases (30%). Arterial hypertension 16 cases (80%) and.urinary tract infection 10 cases (50%) were the most common anteced.nts. The etiologies of RAOI were d.minated.by lithiasis 10 cases (50%), neoplasia 6 cases (30%) and.benign prostatic hypertrophy 3 cases (15%). mean creatinine was 1267.60 ± 710.76 μmol/l with extremes of 243 μmol/l and.2822 μmol/l, mean urea was 39.56 ± 18.36, hyperkalemia in 14 cases (70%) and.hyponatremia in 8 cases (40%). After hemod.alysis, 9 cases (45%) recovered.renal function, 4 cases (20%) became chronic and.7 cases (35%) d.ed. Conclusion: The frequency of AKI remains non-negligible in our d.partment, and.early d.tection and.prompt management would.consid.rably red.ce the morbid.ty and.mortality associated.with this pathology.

The stud. evaluated.the growth performance and.carcass quality of COBB500 broilers fed.two experimental rations incorporating feed.and.mango fine Ed.sub>10 for a batch of 83 bird., Ed.sub>20 (batch of 83 bird.) in comparison with a commercial control ration CCd.(84 bird.). For this purpose, 250 d.y-old.chicks of this breed.were purchased.in Korhogo and.transported.to Tengréla in Ivory Coast for rearing. The results show that substituting mango provend.r ans and.mango seed.flour for maize resulted.in rations with costs per kgMS of 215.35FCFA, 2016.93FCFA and.320FCFA for the Ed.sub>10, Ed.sub>20 and.CCd.rations respectively. The prod.ction costs per kg of chicken (FCPkgLW) of the CCd.ration were significantly higher than those of the Ed.0 and.Ed.sub>20 (p 0.05). Ad.s were significantly d.fferent and.d.creasing from CCd. Ed.sub>20 to Ed.sub>10 (p 0.05). Average weights at 42nd.d.y for Ed.sub>20 and.CCd.were homogeneous (p > 0.05) and.significantly higher than for Ed.sub>10 (p 0.05). By d.y 49th the average weight of Ed.sub>20 had.reached.and.exceed.d.that of CCd.by d.y 42nd. PSLW, HCW and.CCW were significantly d.fferent and.d.creasing from CCW, Ed.sub>20 to Ed.sub>10 (p 0.05). Average hot (HCY) and.cooled.(CCY) carcass yield. of Ed.sub>20 and.CCd.rations were comparable (p > 0.05) and.significantly higher than those of Ed.sub>10 ration (p = 0.009) and.0.003). Average d.umstick and.neck weights were significantly higher and.lower for CCd. Ed.sub>20 and.Ed.sub>10 (p 0.05). For all other parts of the cut, the average weights of the CCd.ration were significantly higher (p 0.05) than those of the Ed.sub>20 and.Ed.sub>10 rations, which were homogeneous (p 0.05). Connective tissue d.seases (CTd.) are Autoimmune d.seases (AId.) characterized.by the appearance of autoantibod.es, which are d.agnostic markers. Investigations of these autoantibod.es play a major role in the management of several autoimmune d.seases. The objective of this stud. was to d.scribe the profile of anti-ENA antibod.es accord.ng to the clinical symptoms of mixed.CTd. in Conakry teaching Hospital. We performed.a cross-sectional stud. d.ring six months. A total of 20 patients was recruited.and.we measured.antibod.es using the ELISA technique. The mean age of our patients was 36.5 years, with a pred.minance of females. Cutaneous and.rheumatological signs were the main clinical manifestations. SLP was the most frequent CTd.;the threshold.of ENA antibod.es positivity was higher in sclerod.rma with and.SLP. Anti-ENA id.ntification reveals the frequency of anti-SSA (83.33%), anti-U1RNP (66.66%) and.anti-histone (50%) antibod.es. Antinuclear antibod.es (ANA) react with various components of the cell nucleus. Their d.tection is of major interest in the d.agnosis of CTd.. Our results highlight the importance of d.termining the specificity of these antibod.es to guid. d.fferential d.agnosis.

A simple nitrobenzyl-umbelliferone （NCOU1） was synthesised.containing a nitrored.ctase （NTR） trigger moiety. The presence of NTR, resulted.in the fragmentation of the parent molecule and.release of the highly emissive fluorophore umbelliferone via an NTR-catalyzed.red.ction of the nitro group. In the presence of the NTR enzyme, NCOU1 gave rise to a 5-fold.increase in fluorescence intensity at 455 nm and.was selective for NTR over other red.ctive enzymes. These results ind.cate that NCOU1 can be used.as a simple assay for the d.tection of NTR.

Topological ed.e states arise in non-Hermitian parity-time(PT)-symmetric systems, and.manifest themselves as bright or d.rk ed.e states, d.pend.ng on the imaginary components of their eigenenergies. As the spatial probabilities of d.rk ed.e states are suppressed.d.ring the non-unitary d.namics, it is a challenge to observe them experimentally. Here we report the experimental d.tection of d.rk ed.e states in photonic quantum walks with spontaneously broken PT symmetry, thus provid.ng a complete d.scription of the topological phenomena therein. We experimentally confirm that the global Berry phase in PT-symmetric quantum-walk d.namics unambiguously d.fines topological invariants of the system in both the PT-symmetry-unbroken and.broken regimes. Our results establish a unified.framework for characterizing topology in PT-symmetric quantum-walk d.namics, and.provid. a useful method.to observe topological phenomena in PT-symmetric non-Hermitian systems in general.

Because of its importance as a food.source, Nemipterus japonicus(Bloch, 1791)(Nemipterid.e) or Japanese thread.in bream is the best stud.ed.of these taxa, and.numerous investigations have examined.its fisheries, its biology and.biochemistry. d.spite such intensive work, the taxonomic status of N. japonicus has never been seriously questioned.and.it is regard.d.as a common species, wid.ly d.stributed.throughout the Ind.-Western Pacific Ocean. In fact, Bloch's d.scription of the type specimen of N. japonicus has ambiguous collection d.ta and.lacks a d.signation for the type locality, though it is probably Java. In this paper, d.A barcod. results based.on COI gene support the existence of two geographically separated.lineages of the Japanese thread.in bream, both being an Ind.an Ocean and.western Pacific lineage, with 2.7% sequence d.vergence, and.the results ind.cate a possible existing of some cryptic species. The two lineages also possess a d.agnostic d.fference in their belly color, with specimens in the South China Sea having a silver belly, while those from the Ind.an Ocean isolate specimen have a yellow coloration. Based.upon new collections from the South China Sea, this species from the western Pacific is morphologically red.scribed.and.its d.tails of d.A barcod. d.versity are shown for the future investigations.
