Electron beam (EB) curing of composites has many advantages. Heat-resistant EB-curing composites could substitute polyimide composites used in aeronautical engines. In this paper, the effects of catalyst and dose on the cured resin were investigated. The heat-resistance of the resin cured by EB was evaluated by dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA). The experimental results show that the mechanical properties of the composites cured by EB could meet the specifications of aeronautical engines at 250 degreesC.

Background:Few studies have compared the surgical outcomes of different surgical procedures currently used to treat refractory colonic slow-transit constipation(STC),despite the increase in the number of *** study aimed to analyse the long-termsurgical outcomes of subtotal colectomy with antiperistaltic caecorectal anastomosis(SC-ACRA)vs total colectomy with ileorectal anastomosis(TC-IRA)for severe ***:Between January 2005 and January 2015,we retrospectively collected clinical data of 55 patients who underwent TC-IRA(n=35)or SC-ACRA(n=20)for severe STC at our *** post-operative functional outcomes between the two groups were ***:There were no significant differences in age(P=0.655),sex(P=0.234),period of constipation(P=0.105)and defecation frequency(P=0.698)between the TC-IRA and SC-ACRA *** a median follow-up period of 72 months(range,12–120 months),there were no significant differences between the TC-IRA and SC-ACRA groups regarding the median number of bowel movements per day[3(1/6–7)vs 3(1/6–5),P=0.578],Cleveland Clinic Florida Constipation Score[2(0–20)vs 2(0–19),P=0.454],Cleveland Clinic Incontinence Score[0(0–5)vs 0(0–2),P=0.333]and Gastrointestinal Quality of Life Index[122(81–132)vs 120(80–132),P=0.661].Moreover,there was no significant difference in the incidence of postoperative complications between the two groups(37.1%vs 25.0%,P=0.285).Conclusions:Our findings indicate that both TC-IRA and SC-ACRA are effective treatments for severe STC,with similar long-termoutcomes.

This paper investigates the prescribed-time tracking control problem for a class of multi-input multi-output(MIMO)nonlinear strict-feedback systems subject to non-vanishing uncertainties. The inherent unmatched and non-vanishing uncertainties make the prescribed-time control problem become much more nontrivial. The solution to address the challenges mentioned above involves incorporating a prescribed-time filter, as opposed to a finite-time filter, and formulating a prescribed-time Lyapunov stability lemma(Lemma 5). The prescribed-time Lyapunov stability lemma is based on time axis shifting time-varying yet bounded gain, which establishes a novel link between the fixed-time and prescribed-time control method. This allows the restriction condition that the time-varying gain function must satisfy as imposed in most exist prescribed-time control works to be removed. Under the proposed control method, the desire trajectory is ensured to closely track the output of the system in prescribed time. The effectiveness of the theoretical results are verified through numerical simulation.

Vacuum ammonia stripping from liquid digestate:Effects of pH,alkalinity,temperature,negative pressure and process optimization

High ammonia-nitrogen digestate has become a key bottleneck limiting the anaerobic digestion of organic solid *** ammonia stripping can simultaneously remove and recover ammonia nitrogen,which has attracted a lot of attention in recent *** investigate the parameter effects on the efficiency and mass transfer,five combination conditions(53℃ 15 kPa,60°C 20 kPa,65°C 25 kPa,72°C 35 kPa,and 81°C 50 kPa)were conducted for ammonia stripping of sludge *** results showed that 80%of ammonia nitrogen was stripped in 45 min for all experimental groups,but the ammonia transfer coefficient varied under different conditions,which increased with the rising of boiling point temperature,and reached the maximum value(39.0 mm/hr)at 81°C 50 *** ammonia nitrogen removal efficiency was more than 80%for 30 min vacuum stripping after adjusting the initial pH to above 9.5,and adjustment of the initial alkalinity also affects the pH value of liquid *** was found that pH and alkalinity are the key factors influencing the ammonia nitrogen dissociation and removal efficiency,while temperature and vacuum mainly affect the ammonia nitrogen mass transfer and removal *** terms of the mechanism of vacuum ammonia stripping,it underwent alkalinity destruction,pH enhancement,ammonia nitrogen dissociation,and free ammonia *** this study,two-stage experiments of alkalinity destruction and ammonia removal were also carried out,which showed that the two-stage configuration was beneficial for ammonia *** provides a theoretical basis and practical technology for the vacuum ammonia stripping from liquid digestate of organic solid waste.

Phosphorus-based anode is a promising anode for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)due to its high specific capacity,however,suffers from poor electronic conductivity and unfavorable electrochemical *** metals such as copper(Cu)into phosphorus has been demonstrated to not only improve the electronic conductivity but also accommodate the volume change during cycling,yet the underline sodiation mechanism is not ***,take a copper phosphide and reduced graphene oxide(CuP_(2)/C)composite as an example,which delivers a high reversible capacity of>900 mAh/***,it is revealed that the native oxidation PO_(x)components of the CuP_(2)/C composite show higher electrochemical reversibility than the bulk Cu P_(2),based on a quantitative analysis of high-resolution solid-state^(31)P NMR,ex-situ XPS and synchrotron X-ray diffraction characterization *** sodiation products Na_(3)PO_(4) and Na_(4)P_(2)O_(7) derived from PO_(x) could react with Na-P alloys and regenerate to PO_(x) during charge process,which probably accounts for the high reversible capacity of the Cu P_(2)/C *** findings also illustrate that the phosphorus transforms into nanocrystalline Na_(3)P and Na_(x)P alloys,which laterally shows crystallization-amorphization evolution process during cycling.

The utilization of iron coke provides a green pathway for low-carbon *** uncover the influence mechanism of iron ore on the behavior and kinetics of iron coke gasification,the effect of iron ore on the microstructure of iron coke was ***,a comparative study of the gasification reactions between iron coke and coke was conducted through non-isothermal thermogravimetric *** findings indicate that compared to coke,iron coke exhibits an augmentation in micropores and specific surface area,and the micropores further extend and *** provides more adsorption sites for CO_(2) molecules during the gasification process,resulting in a reduction in the initial gasification temperature of iron *** the heating rate in non-isothermal gasification can enhance the reactivity of iron *** metallic iron reduced from iron ore is embedded in the carbon matrix,reducing the orderliness of the carbon structure,which is primarily responsible for the heightened reactivity of the carbon *** kinetic study indicates that the random pore model can effectively represent the gasification process of iron coke due to its rich pore ***,as the proportion of iron ore increases,the activation energy for the carbon gasification gradually decreases,from 246.2 kJ/mol for coke to 192.5 kJ/mol for iron coke 15wt%.

As a laser passes through a scattering medium,the light interacts with the irregular reflections within the medium,resulting in light scattering and the formation of *** this paper,an image sensor based on the combination of a coreless optical fiber and a digital camera is proposed for liquid refractive index sensing *** coreless fiber is used as a sensing unit,and the change in the speckle pattern is measured using the digital correlation method to detect the magnitude of the liquid's refractive *** experimental results indicate that the laser image sensing technique is capable of effectively distinguishing liquid samples with refractive indices ranging from 1.332 8 to1.390 8,with a sensing sensitivity of-1.306 ***,the laser image sensing technique,with its advantages of high experimental reproducibility,simple system design,remote over-control,holds great research significance and potential application in laser communication and sensor integration.
