BACKGROUND Hepatic solitary fibrous tumor(SFT)is a rare *** to now,only 90 cases have been reported in the English language *** report describes a case of SFT of the liver misdiagnosed as hepatocellular *** SUMMARY A 42-year-old male had a two-year history of a gradually enlarging intrahepatic *** preoperative imaging revealed a mass with a size of 2.7 cm×2.3 cm located in the segment IV of the *** patient was subjected to the resection of the segment IV,such as the medial segment of the left lobe of the *** histological examination of the mass showed various spindled cells irregularly arranged in the *** immunohistochemistry of this mass revealed a positive staining for CD34 and *** history of intracranial tumor and postoperative pathological results led to the diagnosis of SFT of the liver(SFTL)due to a metastasis from the *** SFTL is an uncommon mesenchymal neoplasm that can be easily overlooked or *** best treatment choice is the complete surgical resection of the mass.A regular follow-up after the surgery should be performed due to the poor prognosis of metastatic or recurrent SFT.

BACKGROUND Pancreatic solitary fibrous tumor(SFT) is a rare neoplasm of intermediate biological potential. So far, only 22 cases have been reported since 1999. All the cases, except one, exhibited benign features. Here, we report the first case of malignant pancreatic SFT with typical Doege-Potter syndrome, along with the clinical and pathologic evidence of its systemic *** SUMMARY The patient was a 48-year-old man with a 1-year history of pancreatic and liver masses and refractory hypoglycemia. Increased uptake of the tracer fluorodeoxyglucose(FDG) was found in the liver and bones by fluorine-18 FDG positron emission tomography/computed tomography. After multidisciplinary discussion, a distal pancreatectomy procedure was performed, and histological examination showed a lesion composed of abundant heterogeneous spindle cells with localized necrosis. On immunohistochemistry evaluation, STAT6 was found to be diffusely expressed in the tumor. Based on the overall evidence, the patient was diagnosed with malignant pancreatic SFT with liver and bone *** The diagnosis of malignant SFT requires comprehensive evidence including clinical, immunohistochemistry, and histological features. This case may be presented as a reference for diagnoses and management of malignant pancreatic SFTs with systemic metastasis.

Conductive grease has been considered as a potential solution in addressing electric erosion issue inside motor *** the conductive grease performance,especially the electric and tribological behaviour is crucial for its *** paper combines bulk grease characterization and contact film study considering both electrical and tribological loading *** results show that the electric performance for the selected conductive grease sample is electric field dependent,including both frequency and voltage *** film impedance inside the contact area is closely related to the external electric field,running condition,and lubrication *** following film impedance calculation tells that not only bulk grease electric parameters,but the contact parameter,lubricant film contour and lubrication condition should be considered when performing the overall bearing electrical modelling.

Exosomes,extracellular vesicles(EVs)that play crucial roles in biological processes,have emerged as attractive targets for noninvasive disease diagnosis and *** spectrometry(MS)offers high sensitivity,high throughput,and excellent qualification and quantification capacity,which is the ideal approach for exosome ***’unique physiochemical properties,controllable morphology,and large surface area make them promising in biological sample pretreatment and *** contributed diverse functions to the exosome MS analysis,encompassing substrates for exosome isolation and cargos enrichment,matrices for laser desorption/ionization(LDI),read-out signals and supporters for signal amplification strategies,*** this review,recent progress in the applications of nanomaterial in the exosome MS analysis was summarized and a comprehensive discussion on the challenges and perspectives was proposed for the development of an advancing analysis approach of exosomes for the accurate diagnosis and monitoring of diseases.

Humans rely on their fingers to sense and interact with external *** the tribological behavior between finger skin and object surface is crucial for various fields,including tactile perception,product appearance design,and electronic skin *** describing finger frictional behavior is always challenging,given the complex structure of the *** this study,the texture and sliding direction dependence of finger skin friction was quantified based on explicit mathematic *** proposed double-layer model of finger skin effectively described the nonlinear elastic response of skin and predicted the scaling-law of effective elastic modulus with contact ***,the skin friction model on textured surface considering adhesion and deformation factors was *** revealed that adhesive term dominated finger friction behavior in daily life,and suggested that object texture size mainly influenced friction-induced vibrations rather than the average friction *** with digital image correlation(DIC)technique,the effect of sliding direction on finger friction was *** was found that the anisotropy in finger friction was governed by the finger’s ratchet pawl structure,which also contributes to enhanced stick-slip vibrations in the distal sliding *** proposed friction models can offer valuable insights into the underlying mechanism of skin friction under various operating conditions,and can provide quantitative guidance for effectively encoding friction into haptics.

Perfluorobutanesulfonate(PFBS)is an emerging pollutant capable of potently disrupting the sex and thyroid endocrine systems of ***,the hypoxic and temporal variation in PFBS endocrine disrupting toxicity remain largely *** the present study,adult marine medaka were exposed to environmentally realistic concentrations of PFBS(0 and 10μg/L)under normoxia or hypoxia conditions for 7 days,aiming to explore the interactive behavior between PFBS and *** addition,PFBS singular exposure was extended till 21days under normoxia to elucidate the time-course progression in PFBS *** results showed that hypoxia inhibited the growth and caused the suspension of egg spawn regardless of PFBS *** regard to the sex endocrine system,7-day PFBS exposure led to an acute stimulation of transcriptional profiles in females,which,subsequently,recovered after the 21-day *** potency of hypoxia to disturb the sex hormones was much stronger than PFBS.A remarkable increase in estradiol concentration was noted in medaka blood after hypoxia *** in sex endocrinology of coexposed fish were largely determined by hypoxia,which drove the formation of an estrogenic *** further enhanced the endocrine disrupting effects of ***,the hepatic synthesis of vitellogenin and choriogenin,two commonly used sensitive biomarkers of estrogenic activity,failed to initiate in response to the estrogen *** to sex endocrine system,disturbances in thyroidal axis by PFBS or hypoxia were relatively ***,the present findings will advance our toxicological understanding about PFBS pollutant under the interference of hypoxia.

Background:For patients with lung cancer,timely identiﬁcation of new lung lesions as infectious or non-infectious,and accurate identiﬁcation of pathogens is very important in improving OS of *** a new auxiliary examination,metagenomic next-generation sequencing(mNGS)is believed to be more accurate in diagnosing infectious diseases in patients without underlying diseases,compared with conventional microbial tests(CMTs).We designed this study toﬁnd out whether mNGS has better performance in distinguishing infectious and non-infectious diseases in lung cancer patients using bronchoalveolar lavageﬂuid(BALF).Materials and Methods:This study was a real-world retrospective review based on electronic medical records of lung cancer patients with bronchoalveolar lavage(BAL)and BALF commercial mNGS testing as part of clinical care from 1 April 2019 through 30 April 2022 at The First Afﬁliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University.164 patients were included in this *** were categorized into the pulmonary non-infectious disease(PNID)group(n=64)and the pulmonary infectious disease(PID)group(n=100)groups based onﬁnal ***:BALF mNGS increased the sensitivity rate by 60%compared to CMTs(81%vs.21%,p0.1).Among the patients with PID,bacteria were the most common cause of *** infections occurred in 32%of patients,and Pneumocystis Yersini was most *** with Tyrosine kinase inhibitors(TKIs)therapy possess longer overall survival(OS)than other anti-cancer agents,the difference between TKIs and immuno-checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)was insigniﬁcant(median OS TKIs *** ***-angiogenic *** ***=76 vs.84 vs.61 vs.58 vs.60).Conclusions:our study indicates that BALF mNGS can add value by improving overall sensitivity in lung cancer patients with potential pulmonary infection,and was outstanding in identifying Pneumocystis *** could be able

The toxicity of lead ions has become the severe challenge for the all-inorganic lead halide p erovskite materials,although some works have rep orted the lead-free perovskite nanocrystals(NCs),the photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY)of these materials is still ***,because the halogen ions can be easily exchanged,the controllable multicolor emission in perovskite NCs is difficult to realize in current *** this work,we introduced lanthanide ions into lead-free Cs_(3)Sb_(2)Cl_(9) perovskite *** from the energy transfer between Cs_(3)Sb_(2)Cl_(9) perovskite NC host and lanthanide ions,the multicolor emission was *** on controlling the doping concentration of Tb^(3+)and Eu^(3+)ions,the white light emission under UV excitation would be turned easily in the Tb^(3+)/Eu^(3+)codoped *** addition,efficient energy transfer from perovskite NCs to Tb^(3+)or Eu^(3+)ions is beneficial to improving the optical properties of lead-free perovskite NCs,resulting in maximum PLQYs of red,green and white light emission of 22.6%,19.7%and 28.5%,***,a white light emitting device(WLED)was fabricated with a power efficiency of 18.5 lm/W,which presents the Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage(CIE)of(0.33,0.35).

The L1_(2)-strengthened Co_(34)Cr_(32)Ni_(27)Al_(4)Ti_(3)medium-entropy alloy(MEA)with precipitations of grain boundaries has been developed through selective laser melting(SLM)followed by cold rolling and annealing,exhibiting excellent strength-ductility *** as-printed alloy exhibits low yield strength(YS)of~384 MPa,ultimate tensile strength(UTS)of~453 MPa,and uniform elongation(UE)of 1.5%due to the existence of the SLM-induced *** cold rolling and annealing,the YS,UTS,and UE are significantly increased to~739 MPa,~1230 MPa,and~47%,*** enhancement primarily originates from the refined grain structure induced by cold rolling and *** presence of coherent sphericalγ'precipitates(L1_(2)phases)and Al/Ti-rich precipitates at the grain boundaries,coupled with increased lattice defects such as dislocations,stacking faults,and ultrafine deformation twins,further contribute to the property’s *** study highlights the potential of SLM in producing high-strength and ductile MEA with coherent L1_(2)nanoprecipitates,which can be further optimized through subsequent rolling and annealing *** findings offer valuable insights for the development of high-performance alloys for future engineering applications.
